Chapter-18: Practice battle

3rd POV

Everyone is getting prepared for the upcoming skirmish. Kenta has heard of Braggi, the goddess of youth and spring, and the keeper of the golden apples that the gods use to maintain their immortality.

Kenta is interested in the golden apples, and he planned to meet her.

But unfortunately, Thjassi, a giant who resided in prymheimr and often took the form of a large eagle. He kidnapped the goddess Iðunn. cutting the gods off from their source of immortality, the golden apples Idunn picked.

He could have teleported directly towards him and kill him. But Thjassi being a clever giant created an anti-teleportation spell to prevent anyone from teleporting directly to him. Teleporting out is possible but teleporting in the place is not at all possible.

Kenta formed some of the troops for the battle with Thjassi.

The valkyries have equipped the Mistilteinn Wand. And they have prepared their generic valkyrie battle outfits. They mostly consist of white breastplates with gold and pale blue accents and matching fingerless gauntlets, boots, hip guards, and wing-shaped hair clips.

All the valkyries have excelled in being master magicians, master swordswoman, and Elemental magic up to their affinities. Rossiweisse can use plenty of Elemental magic but she is still inexperienced.

Brynhildr, Rossiweisse, and Gna are coming with Kenta leading the valkyries. Griselda Quarta is leading all the angels, brave saints, and exorcists. Angels have the ability to use light powers and fight with Light-Based weapons and have exorcist skills.

Muhammad Prophet has sent some camels and calvary archers for Kenta to prepare for the skirmish.

76 valkyries, 57 angels, 60 camel warriors, 56 cavalry archers,72 youkai, 17 brave saints, and 37 exorcists. With Malik as the lead cavalry archer.

Kenta is taking a huge army against Thjassi. Kenta still has 98.7 percent of his army left in heaven but he wanted to command a minimal army to defeat a big army. If the plan he just teleports the remaining percent of his army via here with teleportation.

But he wanted to defeat Thjassi using this army. Whatever happens, he just is focused on his goals. Even himself is strong enough to take out Thjassi.

The army Kenta is traveling with is more than to defeat Thjassi minions.

While they are traveling, they are interrupted by a wild wolf, who proceeds to lunge at them.

The wolf is met with some arrows from cavalry archers, and some [Light spears] from Angels killing the wolf; the wolf screamed while dying, gathering the attention of the other wolves.

"[Purge] " The exorcists said during the Purging of the dead fox. The fox has been completely destroyed.

Suddenly, a group of 100 wolves lunged at the party trying to rip and tear them.

Calvary archers moved to the centers supported by the camel warriors and valkyries who were fighting at the front lines. They formed a circle formation in battle. With Camel warriors and strength-based valkyries at the topmost layer, Angels and brave saints at the second layer, Magic based valkyries at the third layer, and cavalry archers at the fourth layer, while Kenta is on the last layer.

Kenta doesn't want to engage in simple and pointless battles. He is a commander and king of the army, he doesn't need to fight while having so many fighters to do that. It is simply illogical and stupid when you fight by yourself in battles. A strong leader needed to command his soldiers once in a while too.

No matter what a king who does everything by himself is as stupid as a king who is spineless. But people don't understand the significance of it. Deal with it folks, no one engages in action too much when you have all those tropes. You simply use tactics and command.

Coming to the battle.

The valkyries in the fourth supported the front lines using defensive magic to create magic circles and barriers to protect the front-line warriors. The magic was well-timed

The angels attacked the wolves with [Light spear] piercing throughout their hearts. And the exorcists banished the souls of the wolves.

*Slash* *Drop*

Rossweisse used Elemental magic using all of her affinities at the same time. Ice, fire, lightning, wind, thunder, water, light, and explosive magic all are used at the same time. Killing most of the wolves with her magic.

*Voosh* *Boom* *Water sounds* *Slllr* *DOOM*

All the angels use their swords to slash the wolves, cutting them into two pieces. While Angels use light magic to blast the remaining wolves.

*Slash* *Slirk* *BOOM*

Brynhildr finally finished off using her fire magic to create a fire tornado to trap the wolves in the fire. She is careful to not spread the fire around the ground and her allies. She has great control over it as none of her allies are caught in the fire. Brynhildr is really well-focused on what she is doing.

*Swoosh* *Fire sounds*

All the wolves are dead and being purged by the exorcists. Rossweisse is tired and she blushed from the embarrassment of her failed spell earlier

"I d-don't know h-how it h-happened. I j-just chanted t-that being so panicked " Rossiweisse said with a confused and clumsy expression. She feels down for her mistake.

"Relax Rossweisse, that is a really wonderful spell, " Brynhildr said while trying to console the down valkyrie.

It seemed Rossweisse created the skill by mistake. Many inventors invented things by mistake and have decided to use them. This is a similar case to Rossweisse. In the pressure situation, she created something she has never really thought of. She still needs to improve and fight properly, this battle may help her in upcoming battles.

"You really have a good command of your magic skills. You did a good job of keeping it up, and keeping good control of yourself too " Kenta suggested to Brynhildr.

"Thank you, master, your compliment is really soothing. And are you talking about the comment with Lady Freya, Master? " Brynhildr said with a happy tone being praised by her master.

"Yes, earlier you have said that Freya is a virgin. Aren't you the same? " Kenta questioned Brynhildr with an innocent tone.

Brynhildr's face became bitter and she tried to play off "I-It's just I am w-waiting for t-the right man to c-come along. YEAH, that's i-it " She tried to push herself.

It seemed to Kenta that every valkyrie here is a desperate virgin and maiden. Well, they have unique reactions when he asks them about their dating history. All have not dated a man, this is too much of a mystery for him to guess why it happened.

All of the healers are currently healing their armies to cure their wounds. There are several slash wounds for the people who are on the frontlines.

Some of the lands have been destroyed during the battle and have formed some cracks.

All of the armies are currently heading towards to prymheimr find and slay the giant Thjassi without much concern about him.

Kenta has made some errors in his calculations which are not well described due to his sheer victory dominance. But he better be careful in front of people who are stronger than Thjassi.

With that in mind, Kenta and his army went to their destination.

"Where the heck are you going? " A giant large eagle questioned him. And Kenta is immediately alerted by him.
