Chapter Seven: Meet Bob Again

Oh what a bright Sunday afternoon it is. Clara thought to herself as she sat on the dining table playing checkers with her dad. Then she heard her mom call out for her.

"Clara I can't find my pink dress where did you put it?" Her mother called out.

"Mom, it's in your closet." Clara replied.

"But I can't find it…" Her mom said. Then few minutes later. "I've found it." she shouted.

"Okay mom." When Clara had won her dad in the chess, she went into her room, and took her purse.

"Mom, dad, am of to the park I want to receive some fresh air." She said as she headed for the door.

"Okay dear, don't be out too late." Her dad said.

"Whatever." She mumbled, and left the house.

In the park, Clara took out her head phones and played some soothing music. Then a boy walked past me, and stopped to talk to me, then I noticed he was familiar. Then I remembered he was the boy at the cinema yesterday.

"Oh hello, what a coincidence this beautiful afternoon. Do you remember me? We met yesterday at the cinema." Bob said.

"Yeah I remember; your name is Bob right?" Clara asked.

"Yeah. Really a coincidence, I dint even know you were living around." Bob said.

"Yeah it's a coincidence." Clara said. Bob just kept on smiling at me as he sat beside me.

"Why are you smiling?" Clara asked.

"Because you have made my day." Bob said.

"Oh really?" Clara asked.

"Yes. I was going to meet some of my friends, want to join us. My sister and her friends would be there also." Bob said. Clara wanted to decline but, she had nothing to do, and no one to hang out with so she agreed.

"Yeah sure." Clara said.

"Okay, let's go then." He said. And they started walking away. When they reached, from a distance, Clara suddenly remembered Antonia, and she hoped she was not Bob's sister; Because Antonia never liked Clara, she absolutely hated Clara, for as much as Clara could remember, she never had a good memory of Antonia. When they were seven, they were neighbours at their former house, I vividly remember trying to make friends with her; but she turned me down every time. Because she was jealous of me that I was more beautiful and brilliant than her.

"Hello." Bob said as he noticed that I was a bit lost.

"Oh, sorry I was just thinking about something." Clara apologized.

"Okay, Clara I want you to meet grace my sister, and this is Antonia my niece."

"Hi Grace, Hi Antonia it's nice to meet you. Antonia we finally meet again after so any years." Clara said trying to put up a fake smile.

"Yeah that's true." Antonia said.

"Nice to meet you too." Grace said. "So you both know each other?" Antonia said.

"Yeah it's a long story." Clara said.

"Okay." Grace replied.

"Are we not going to get an introduction?" One of the boys said.

"Oh that's right. Bob said. "Clara meet jasper and Gavin my friends.

"Hi, it's a pleasure meeting you" Clara said.

"The pleasure is all mine." Jasper said.

"Nice meeting you" Gavin added. Then they left the girls to chat a little. And went to a corner to talk.

"Bob, just tell me she's your girlfriend." Jasper exclaimed.

"Nope she isn't, I just met her yesterday at the cinema yesterday." Bob said.

"Then why the delay? Why havent you asked her to please be your girlfriend?" Jasper asked keenly.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, man, we just met yesterday, why the rush?" Bob asked.

"I totally agree with Bob." Gavin finally said.

"Whatever." Jasper said feeling defeated. Then they continued chatting.

"So how do you two know each other?" Grace asked.

"We were neighbours when we were little." Clara said.

"Oh okay." Grace said.

"You know; I have a friend who has the same name as you." Clara said.

"Wow really?" Grace asked.

"Yeah. Would you like to meet her?" Clara asked.

"Yes I would love to meet her." Grace said.

"Okay, I'll call her." Clara said and dialled Grace's number. She was talking with her on the phone when the boys walked back to them.

"Sorry boys, change of plans, we want to go meet Clara's friend." Grace said.

"Oh okay." Bob said disappointed, then they parted ways.

"She said she is free, so let's go." Clara said.

"Yes, I can't wait to meet her." Grace said. And they took a cab.

In grace's house...

"Mom the girl I just told you about is coming over; could I bother you to bake us some cookies? Please." Grace begged her mom.

"Okay dear." Her mom agreed.

"Thanks mom." Grace sad grinning widely. Then her mother left the room to start baking the cookies. Then she went upstairs to go change her clothes.

Grace was a girl who had brown hair, and wore glasses, her classmates always made fun of her because of her glasses. She had a twin brother, and a little sister. Her twin brother was so rude. Some minutes later, she heard a knock on the door, it was Clara.

"It's Clara, she said rushing down the stairs, like a little child that has been expecting her dad's arrival.

"Hi Clara." She said then hugged her.

"Hey I just came over I wanted to show you someone. And I was also so bored." Clara said.

"Okay, welcome come in girls, you all are welcome to my house." Grace embraced them warmly.

"Thanks." Antonia managed to say.

"Thanks." Grace said."

"Okay, Grace meet Grace." Clara said and chuckled.

"Oh wow you look exactly like me, we look alike. And we answer the same name, this is so wonderful. Do you mind if we take a picture together?" Grace said.

"No I don't." Grace said.

"Okay, also meet Antonia." Clara said.

"Welcome." Grace said and flashed her a beautiful smile but she didn't reply. 'Rude.' Grace thought.

"Let's go up to my room." Grace said. And they went together. They chatted in the room, till Grace's sister interrupted them.

"Sister Grace mom said I should tell you all that the cookies are ready." Her little sister grace informed them.

"Okay, we would be down in a minute." Grace replied.

"Okay." Her sister said and shut the door. A minute later they got downstairs, and took the cookies, it was already getting late so Clara and the girls bid Grace goodbye. The boys where already waiting in the park for them. Then they all went to go and watch a movie. They really had fun. When Clara returned home, he parents asked why she stayed out so long.

"Am sorry mom. Am sorry dad, I just had the best time with my friends." Clara said. "And mom, I happened to see Antonia today."

"Really." Her mom asked.

"Yes." Clara replied.

"Was she acting strange?" Her dad asked.

"Same as before." Clara said and went to her room."
