“So you have a super hearing ability?” he asked simply. “When did it start?” 


“I’ve had it since I was born,” she replied and the doctor looked up and studied her with careful eyes. 


“You were born with it,” he prompted and Evie sighed. 


She felt her earlier pomp go away along with her energy. 


It looked like she revealed herself for nothing. This man was clearly human. Evie was afraid that when the doctor said that he only named the other her as ‘Evie’, it was just to differentiate her from her original personality, he was telling the truth. It was pure coincidence.
