The person who should be dead by now was alive once again, the flesh which should have been burnt was regenerating, and the bones which should have been turned to dust were taking shape again.
In a matter of seconds, the burnt lump of human meat recovered and turned human again. The guy I killed using [Fire control] was alive again.
'This…is impossible! The speed at which he regenerated is of god-tier magic.'
Are the gods so determined to get rid of me that they gave this guy access to god-tier spells?
No, that won't be right; in fact, it will be more trouble for them in the end. Then how did he regenerate so fast?
"Hahaha, man that sure was *hot*!" said the guy in front of me after his body was recovered.
"Who in world are you? If I'm not wrong then you are the leader of these bandits right?"
"Well…yeah. You are right about that part, my name's Blade and I'm the boss of these idiots," he said while cracking his neck.
So he is the boss after all huh, figured that much. But I should probably get rid of him as quickly as possible.
I used earth-type magic and created a spike with the dust particles present in the air and launched it at him. The spike flew toward him at high speed, pierced his head, and drilled its way inside.
"This hurts you know," he said as he pulled out that spike from his head. A fountain of blood sprayed but eventually, the hole in his head healed just like before.
Damn it, why is he not dying! I have no choice now; I have to use some high-level spells. I was avoiding this since we are underground and a high-level spell can cause a cave-in.
'Uriel, use the same attack on him you used on those guys before.'
With that, a magic circle appeared beneath his feet and an energy beam was blasted from it, creating a white pillar of energy that swallowed that man inside it.
It went on for a while and then the beam disappeared and the magic circle closed, leaving behind nothing—not even the ashes of that man.
Good, he can't regenerate now.
"Wha-"
"Is he a monster!" said Mia, this time even she was surprised.
Now this was clearly in the realm of impossibility; the dust around the area where he was standing started gathering in one place and started taking the form of that man's body.
This was utter nonsense! This type of regeneration can only be accomplished by a cosmic-tier spell that heals you on the molecular level and there's no way this guy can use or even have access to a spell like that.
After all, if you go by the system this world works then to use a god or cosmic tier magic spell you need to have the title of a god. Otherwise, it won't work.
"I think I've played around enough, time to say goodbye lad," he said as he cracked his fingers one by one.
Then he stretched out both of his hands toward me. Suddenly both of his palms emitted a red, almost blinding light and the next thing I saw was that he was holding two shotguns; one in each hand.
"So you can make weapons?" I said as I narrowed my eyes and looked at him.
"Yeah, that is one of my abilities. I can make any weapon I want," he said and then pressed the trigger of both guns at the same time.
Two magic circles appeared in front of the muzzles of both guns before they fired two shotgun shells with a loud *BANG* sound. The moment I looked at those shells I noticed that they were not normal, they had purple energy surrounding them, and probably it was this guy's mana.
Just for insurance I stretched out my hand and increase the durability of my barrier by pouring more mana into it.
The bullets clashed with my barrier but instead of getting deflected they exploded. The resulting shockwave caused the entire area to vibrate rapidly and also the smoke from the explosion blocked me from seeing that man.
"Hey, are you alright?" I asked Mia.
"Yeah, somehow, but what the hell is wrong with that guy! The weapons he is using are nothing of the type I've seen before," she replied, judging from her expression she looked more shocked than scared.
"Well, there's nothing we can do about that. Did you find the elves who were kidnapped?" this was an important thing, after all this was originally what we came here to do.
I just happen to find their boss here, wait for a second! Was this really just a coincidence?
"Yeah, I walked them to the exit before I came here to this guy," said Mia.
Damn it, why did you have to come back here you idiot!
"Come on, come on, don't ignore me like that!" that man screamed.
I got chills when I saw him after the smoke from the explosion settled. I mean how I can be normal; he held a fucking rocket launcher. He did say that he can create any weapon but isn't this a bit too much.
"Now DIE!" he shouted and pressed the trigger of the rocket launcher.
A big circle appeared in front of the rocket's head before it was launched toward me at high speed. Instead of clashing with my barrier, the rocket went upward and exploded after clashing with the roof.
The whole area started shaking and the sealing started to crumble and fall apart. "Hehe, this is so much fun! I was getting bored when you were stopping all the bullets," he said before the RPG in his hand shone in green color and changed its shape.
'What the hell!'
Now it had five rockets in it! He pressed the trigger and launched all of them in one go. The rockets were not targeted anywhere and started exploding at random places.
I strengthen my barrier and stood close to Mia, the gravel that was falling down was probably more dangerous than the rockets.
Ahhhh! What should I do? I can't kill him and at this rate, we will be buried underground!
Yeah yeah Uriel I know that. You don't have to spell it like that.
<…>
I should escape after all huh, I would have stayed and somehow finished this guy when I had the chance but right now I have Mia with me and her life is my top priority.
I don't want to make the same mistake all over again.
But how will I escape from here? By [Dimensional step] I can only teleport to where I can see and there's not much space in here.
If I remember correctly it did have a sub-skill like teleportation. Just when I thought that Uriel displayed that information before my eyes.
< [Lord of the Void]
Effects/Sub-skills:
—Void Zero: User can enter in the void and can also force summon inside it.
—Spatial Teleportation: A movement ability that allows the user to freely switch between spaces for which they are aware of the coordinates.>
Spatial Teleportation huh, Aki warned me to beware of the void and thus I decided to not use this skill.
But I don't have many options right now and it's not like I was never going to use this skill.
'Uriel, I can take Mia with me right?'
Okay, then it's decided.
"Hey, come a bit closer. We are leaving!" I said to Mia as I held her with both of my arms.
"What!" she looked at me with suspicion but didn't resist. She also knew the type of situation we were in.
I concentrated on my skill and recalled the image of the elf village in my mind.
"Spatial Teleportation!" I said and activated the skill.
The world around me and Mia turned black; all of the sound, light, and vibration disappeared. We were in a vast dark place.
I knew this view; we were in 'The Void'. The difference this time was that this void was not eating at me like before.
The dark view didn't last long as our surroundings changed again and I felt fresh air around my body.
I also recognized this view, we were in my room; in the elf village.
