I woke up at the quiet dance of the white curtains in Trevor's room. His strong arm hugged my waist tightly as if life depended on it. Quietly, I held his arm to place it aside and left the bed.
I ran to my apartment as fast as I could with a blush on my cheeks, so red and hot. I was one with Trevor now and the thought of it gave me chills.
I tied my hair in a ponytail for the day. My red floral dress shone under the blue skies as it brought out my curves. I was happy and energized throughout the day.
At lunchtime, Trevor asked me to join him for a meal in his office where he declared that we shall be having lunch together from now on.
Bella didn't come to the office since our last meeting and I wondered if she gave up on Trevor and decided to work on her company.
"Why is Bella off work recently?" I confidently asked while chewing my steak.
"She's on her monthly leave. why?" he stated without taking his eyes off me.
"Nothing." came my simple reply.
Maybe she wanted to give herself time. I thought to myself and sighed as I remembered her state the day we met.
I passionately ate my steak until my stomach couldn't fill in more. I am Trevor talked about our relationship for the rest of lunchtime till Peyton reminded him of the meeting and he left.
I and Cara stood on the rooftop as we got a clear view of the city. The air was cool and refreshing and it made my hair dance with the wind.
"How far with pestering Chris?" I asked Cara since that was the reason for us going up there.
"He is a rock you know." we both laughed because she hadn't succeeded in getting closer to him.
They usually gave themselves a meaningful look but when they spoke they could utter fire to each other.
The day went on like that because we didn't have enough work to do as it was a Friday.
As usual, the four of us sat down in a limited edition Rolls Royce and hit the road. Cara took the passenger seat and I took the back seat with Trevor who was busy on his laptop. Chris's attention was on the road and my attention was on my phone. Cara's initial mission was to get what Chris thought about her so she switched to mission mode.
She pulled her hair and placed it on one side showing her milky skin. She seductively passed her hand on her neck and looked at Chris who gave her one eye and focused on the road again.
She didn't want to exaggerate it since they were driving and pretended to be dozing off uncomfortably.
The wheels smoothly swept the road and we soon parked in front of the tall residential building where my youth started from. I was the first to get out and Trevor followed behind me leaving the two behind.
After a moment of resting upstairs, Chris walked in carrying the sleeping Cara whose head rested on Chris's chest. I gave them one look and left for my room to give Cara a space.
It was a cool Saturday morning and car sounds could be heard outside. I rolled on my bed as I pulled my duvet up to breast length. I slept till 10 am and did my morning routine.
I went to the supermarket together with Trevor to shop for daily necessities. I looked at the vanilla yogurt and remembered the day I met Trevor here and he grabbed the yogurt before me. I smiled widely as I looked at him and handed him the yogurt.
We shopped happily and he chose a few robes for me. We reached the men's products and I got him boxers as well. We had a good time walking out of the supermarket with a bunch of shopping bags. We walked lovely on the streets as we drank yogurt like children not minding the people around us.
"Get ready now, I want you to meet my father." What? How can he tell me this just now? I wasn't ready in any aspect.
"Tonight?" I asked, surprised by his sudden approach.
"Yes, tonight. He just texted me that he wants to meet my woman tonight." He coaxed me as he sensed uneasiness from me.
He had told me a lot about his family. They adopted him when he was only six years old and he was forever grateful.
It was a different night as the rain fell heavily with the storm. Trevor's father who knew nothing apart from gambling held Trevor's hand harshly and threw him in front of the orphanage. The little boy's tears strode down with the heavy rain as he watched his father's car get lost from his sight.
Her mother had died three years ago from breast cancer and since then, his life turned around. He could only beg people for food or even do heavy work to fill his stomach. His father rarely came back home and whenever he came, he would sell things his mom had bought back then.
Till that day, he had sold everything in the house and they didn't even have a saucepan.
Half lights made it difficult for him to see the car that was coming toward him. He placed his soft hands on his head in form of self protection since he thought that his father was back to kill him.
To his surprise, the car stopped in a distance, and a woman dressed as a nun rushed in his direction.
"Young boy, are you okay?" the nun asked but the boy was tempted to run.
"Don't worry, I will not harm you. I want to take you inside." With that, the nun covered him with an umbrella and led him inside the orphanage.
There were many kids inside and most of them were of his age. They got him cleaned up and offered him new clothes and medicine to prevent a cold.
His life was now different again. He got a chance to eat and play with his fellows. He was loved even though he felt lonely sometimes.
One day, he was playing alone when others were taking a nap. He rarely slept during the day so he was playing happily.
A couple possibly in their early forties approached him with a lot of playing materials. They played with him and in the end, they asked if he would consider going home with them.
It was the best day of his life as he rested in a classy big mansion. The couple had tried to have a child and failed after visiting the world's best doctors.
They were happy to find such a cute boy who was willing to become their son. They treated him like their own, took him to the best schools, and gave him a better childhood experience.
He was so clever and intelligent during his school days and they saw a big businessman in him.
Up to today, he has held the miles corporation firmly from the moment it was almost bankrupt.
I wore a white evening dress and a pair of black heels while Trevor wore a handmade maroon suit. His well-polished black leather shoes hit the floor soundly as we entered the Martins mansion. It stood steadily at the top of a hill in a private area.
The mansion was decorated in the ancient European style but classy.
In a large living room, a couple possibly in their fifties greeted us with happiness and we greeted back. Trevor held my hand firmly since I was a little bit nervous.
"My beautiful daughter-in-law come here." Old Martins embraced me lovingly and at least I felt at ease since he didn't hate me.
"You look so beautiful my dear." Aunt Joanne embraced me tightly as her long-lost daughter.
We talked for a few minutes before Aunt Joanne took me to look around the mansion and showed me Trevor's childhood pictures. His looks were as good as now when he was 27 years. We laughed together and I found out that she was as sweet as Trevor always described her.
We dined together on a large dining table where many mouth watering meals were served. Old Martins filled my plate with delicious foods.
I looked in Trevor's direction who was laughing at my frowned face. My bowl was full of the food I could eat for two complete days.
"Dad, she can't eat all.that or else she will gain too much weight and I won't consider having a child with her."
We both laughed loudly at Trevor's joke. He handed me another bowl and I ate just as my usual amount.
We sat on a large sofa of twelve in the living room and watched a news with old Martins as we also talked about cheerful things.
The evening was super cool having such warm people around.
