Exhausting Day

Jeanohntae was so exhausted when she got home. Christian was already at home and in his office. He heard the bedroom door close and got up to go see Jeanohntae.

When he entered the room, he saw her laying on the bed still holding her bag. Christian started to laugh. "Jean, what are you doing!?? Change your clothes." Christian said. He took her bag from her and placed it in the closet.

Jeanohntae sighed and sat up. "I'm just gonna change and go to bed. I don't have the energy to move around." She yawned while still talking. Christian laughed and picked Jeanohntae up. "Come on, since you don't have the energy to move. I'll carry you downstairs so we can eat dinner."

Christian walked downstairs with Jeanohntae flung over his shoulders. He placed her down on the chair and made her face the table. Joseph and Rudy were looking at them in confusion. Christian looked and the two men and shrugged his shoulders. He did not want to explain what he was doing, so he simply said. "She had a long day at work."

The two men nodded and went back to eating. Butler Lu and Leah were on the said laughing softly. "Thank you Chris." Jeanohntae said and started eating. Christian smiled started putting more food on Jeanohntae's plate. "Here, eat some more."

Jeanohntae did not refuse and continued eating. She was too tired to do anything. She has had a long day and it felt like the day was never ending. After dinner, Christian asked Leah to make a bath for Jeanohntae.

Christian carried Jeanohntae back up the stair and into the bathroom where Leah was waiting. Jeanohntae was a little confused. "Chris, what's going on!??" She asked. Christian did not say anything. He walked out and closed the door.

Leah smiled and said sweetly. "Ms. Jean I have made your bath. Mr. Christian wanted you to relax after dinner. He specifically said to make sure you have all the necessities for a relaxing bath. I've lit some scented candles and added your favorite bath bombs to your tub, with some bath salts and rose petals. I hope it helps you relax."

Jeanohntae smiled at the thought of Christian's kindness. "Thank you Leah. This is so sweet." She said. Jeanohntae wasn't surprise that Christian keeps spoiling her. However, this time around she was really happy to be spoiled. This was what she needed, but did not have the energy to do. Leah bowed and walked out.

Jeanohntae smiled at the tub for a long time before finally taking off her clothes. As soon as she sat down, her tensed body began to relax. It felt so good she decided to take a little longer than her normal baths. She was thinking of staying in the tub all night. She really did not want to leave such a relaxing bath.

After 2 hours of relaxing in the tub, Jeanohntae emerged from the bathroom with a smile. She saw Christian laying on the bed scrolling through his phone. Christian looked up as she walked into the closet and changed into her pajamas. Christian smiled seeing how her energy was coming back.

"Did you enjoy your bath!??" Christian asked. Jeanohntae smiled. She nodded and laid down next to him. "Yes I did. Thank you Chris. It was so sweet of you." She responded.

Christian put his phone down and turned to hug her. "I'm glad you liked it." He kissed her forehead and slowly closed his eyes. He too was tired from work.

Jeanohntae was also tired that she did not scroll through her phone like she usually does every night. She closed her eyes and went to sleep in an instant.

Leah and Butler Lu finished talking to Devin about what to cook for Jeanohntae. They all went to their respected rooms. The bodyguards switched off and the night became quiet. It was the first night everyone went to bed early. Joseph had an important business meeting in the morning and Rudy need rest for his maintenance job.

Meanwhile, Nikki and Nellie were plotting something. Caleb and Anna has been seeing each other in secret to plot their schemes as well. Maelene was sleeping comfortably in her hotel room while waiting for the good news of her daughter's demise.

Nikki and Nellie did not want to be suspicious and decided to go back home later in the week. They thought no one knew what they were doing. However, they were so wrong. The only one that was not part of the secret, was Jeanohntae.

All she wanted to do was to get along well with Nikki and Nellie. Although Christian, Joseph and Rudy did not want anything to do with them, no one could blame the three men though. They were just doing what they thought was right.

They felt like they were in a circus putting on an act and trying to find out Nikki and Nellie's tricks. Not to mention the fact that Maelene still has not shown her face since the incident at the hospital.

Christian woke up in the middle of the night with cold sweats. He went to take a nice cold shower before heading back to back. The running shower was the only sound in the dead of night.

The moonlight shone down into the bedroom and onto Jeanohntae's face. Christian walked out of the bathroom and saw the sight before him. Christian stood in his spot, mesmerized by the Beauty laying on the bed. Jeanohntae's fair skin shimmered in the moonlight as the clouds passed by. It was like a goddess has been sent from the heavens above to give Christian the love he has been missing dearly.

He could not ask for a more perfect view. He made his way back to the bed and laid beside Jeanohntae. He hugged her waist and fell back asleep. It was a peaceful night for everyone. They could not have asked for anything else.

Life in the Maddox residence was peaceful. It was something they loved dearly. Being all together as a family again and living with each other close by. They have finally became whole again. Little did they know, all that was about to change.
