Chapter Fourteen - Senior Year

Summer break was the best summer Samantha had ever experienced. Once they returned to their homes, Klaus and Samantha's relationship got deeper, and she became more expressive with everyone around her.

They went and visited every place they could in their town and got to know more about each other's backgrounds. Samantha had the rare chance to meet Klaus's father, Lord Muller, and it shocked her to see that he wasn't as eloquent as his title suggested. He was a 6'4" blonde man with blue eyes like Klaus. He had a more childish face than Klaus, but his beard compensated for the silly look. His voice was soft and calm, but still stern. He commanded an unusual respect from his employees. The old lord was blessed with a natural talent to lead, which Klaus exhibited over the summer, unfortunately, not in his classroom.

"Hey, could you remind me why you were always quiet during class?" Samantha asked as they walked out of the mansion. The mansion resembled the one used in Hollywood series, such as the mansion for Lex Luthor in Smallville. The lawn had watered, green grass and extended 300 yards, with a paved road for vehicles entering the premises. They were going to walk the entire stretch because Samantha enjoyed the nostalgic scenery of the property.

Klaus grabbed her hand and said, "Oh, that, well, it's because I just like to focus when I'm in class. It's only in AP math that I'm freer to talk, because there were only eight of us in the class. Why do you ask?"

"Because I don't want you being like 'that' when school starts this Monday. It's our senior year, and I want it to be memorable." Samantha replied.

Klaus raised an eyebrow. "Memorable? That would mean the Ice Queen must become the loving queen of the school-," Klaus paused and stopped. He looked Samantha dead in the eye and said, "and officially be my girlfriend."

Samantha squealed and looked away. Her hesitation gave Klaus some anxiety, as if she were backing out after three months of seeing each other. However, it dawned on him that the two of them were only taking it slow, but never labelled their relationship.

She exhaled and faced him, replying, "I have reason to run away. Klaus, I will be your girlfriend."

Klaus' eyes became bright red, and then he laughed, saying, "Okay, I didn't expect you to respond like that. I thought you would start glowing like a Christmas tree and run at least a few kilometres before you could give me a straight answer."

"Bloody Brit. For your information, I have matured into a woman now." Samantha said arrogantly.

Klaus reached in and grabbed her waist. "Do you mean to say that what happened in my room the other day made you into a woman?" Klaus said, grinning.

"Well, it was the first time reaching that extent, and I KNOW that's what changes a girl into a woman."

"Do you know that making out and arousing you like that isn't sex, right?" Klaus asked, surprised.

Samantha waved her hands, trying to emphasise her point, and said, "Exactly! It's the signs of womanhood, Klaus, it's the signs." Samantha was so proud of this. It gave her confidence to get more intimate with Klaus because she knew Klaus wasn't the sweet saint he portrayed.

Klaus gently grabbed her chin and looked her dead in the eyes and said, " One day I'll show what it feels like to BECOME a woman, Samantha."

Samantha froze and gulped so loudly that Klaus heard. "O-okay." She stammered.

They remained in that position for a bit longer, and Klaus said, "I think we should get going now."

"Agreed," she replied.

The first day of school at Miles Kraber High brought all the senior students together in a wave of nostalgia. This year was their last chance to make lifelong memories, get their GPA high enough for college, lose their virginity, and for others to try new things they never would have done outside their comfort zones, like Samantha.

She stood in the schoolyard, looking up at the giant bell that hung on the roof of the building, soaking in the reality of going to school and having a boyfriend. This senior year will be the first time she will be like every other student, hanging out with friends and her boyfriend, and occasionally attending study groups with the same people.

"Morning, Sam!" a tomboyish redhead girl with a short bob cut and piercings shouted with her menacing look as scary as ever. She approached, waving her hand frantically, which made Bridgette stand out, but that didn't bother Samantha.

Samantha's face lit up, and she said, "Hey, Brig. How are you?"

"I'm awesome. Now, where's your FAMOUS boyfriend? I need to punch him in the shoulder to see if he's a wimp like those punks that would write you love letters." Bridgette replied.

"Please don't. I actually like him, okay?" Said Samantha.

"Alright, I leave him alone. I guess you really like him, huh? That's great, Sam." Bridgette replied.

The two of them chatted a bit until Klaus and the AP Math friends, Nicole, Jeffery, and Paul, interrupted them. They all walked into the premises in deep conversation until they noticed Bridgette and Samantha ahead of them.

"Hey, guys." Samantha greeted them.

Klaus stepped forward, grabbed her waist, and kissed Samantha, saying, "Good morning to you, Ms. Diaz." Samantha just blushed and smiled.

This shocked the surrounding students, who saw the Ice Queen and the sought-after boy kissing in public. Luckily, there were no teachers present to make the scene more awkward for everyone else.

Nicole grinned and poked Klaus. "You slay dog," she said.

Bridgette just stood there in shock and then grinned as well, saying, "dude, you have balls. Sam, I approve of-."

Before Bridgette could finish her, a grey Porsche 911 that pulled up in the parking lot interrupted her. The windows were stained black, and out came a beautiful, pale Caucasian girl with blonde hair and green eyes. She was slender, with an hourglass figure, wearing a white ribbed tank top, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a black backpack. She walked into school with a unique eloquence but dressed so simply. Her beauty captivated everyone except Klaus. His expression became plain, but he gritted his teeth in anger, and he muttered something under his breath that only Samantha heard, "Shit." Just who is this girl that would upset Klaus like this?

The girl noticed the group ahead of her and came to a stop. She shouted, "Hi Klaus!"

Everyone turned their heads toward Klaus, and his expression didn't change. He fixed his gaze on her, and judging from his reaction, it caught him off guard by her sudden appearance.

"Klaus, who is she?" Samantha said, worried by his reaction.

"That's... that's Chloe Kimberlight. An old friend I never wanted to see again." He replied.
