Chapter 21

Using his enhances speed to travel around in the night, Corven his currently in the 4th ward, patrolling alleyways, while staying out of sight.

With his defensive form active, his now white hair rests over the base of his horns, while his markings have appeared in his body, and if he could see it, a white line has appeared going down his spine, with his white circle then blue sphere pattern at certain intervals, and the red in his clothes have changed to blue.

It doesn't take long for Corven to be attracted by the smell of blood.

Following the scent, he heads towards an alleyway between a couple apartment complexes, and after heading deeper into the alley, he sees a male ghoul feasting on the nude corpse of a woman.

Seeing that scattered clothes around and the ghouls unbundled pants, it doesn't take long to figure out what happened here.

Seeing the dead body doesn't affect Corven much, with his grandfather having been a cop, he has been around bodies before, but watching the ghoul devour the woman sends shivers down his spine that he never though he had.

Staying quiet as not to alert the ghoul, Corven quietly activates his rinkaku kagune as he gets close, causing his kakugan to appear.

Different from normal kakugans, while in his defense form, Corvens iris stays light blue, while the sclera turns black with blue veins across it, spreading into the skin around his eye.

Distracted for a moment from the ghoul, Corven sees his rinkaku kagunes have also inverted in color.

'Is this really just my usual color pallet now?' Thinks Corven as he nervously jokes to himself.

'Enough, I need to focus, animals are one thing but beings like humans are another, if im not careful i could easi-'

Being interrupted by his train of thoughts, Corven quickly dodges a strike made by the Ghoul, by using his rinkaku kagune to fling himself further back.

Due to the strike, the concrete on the ground is smashed to bits, and being able to see the ghoul properly now, he sees the him fixing his pants and belt, while readying his green and black, scorpion tail like bikaku kagune, out from his left side.

"You were good, but your strong ass scent gave you off, still though it almost got me, I haven't met a ghoul who smells so much like smoke before."

"Now you seem new so why did you try to attack me?" Says the ghoul.

Seeing the face of the man still covered in blood and meat, Corven starts shaking slightly, the thought of fighting someone else to the death is a little nerve wracking for him.

Noticing Corvens before, the man looks at corven with a crazed grin.

"You havent killed before have you?"says the man

Eyeballing Corven for a moment, he sees no reaction except corven stiffen up slightly.

"HehE... HaHAHA.. you really haven't have you? Whyd you even thi-" 'MOVE' thinks corven to himself as he attacks, using his white and light blue colored, rinkaku kagunes, to form together while smoothed out, aiming for his head.

Seeing the attack coming, the ghoul attempts to block it with its kagune, but due to Corvens enhanced speed, plus the the piercing speed of the rinkaku kagune, hes unable to, so being forced to take the attack, he manages to use his kagune to shift the attack to left shoulder/chest.

"*Cough* that *cough* was some SPEED!" says the man with blood dripping from his mouth and the wound, before swinging his kagune at Corven.

Activating his claws, Corven grabs the stinger of the man's kagune with one hand, stabbing his claws inside it to grasp it better, while using his other hand to stab into his throat, slicing his hand to the right, nearly cutting the man's head of.

With blood seeping out of his mouth and from the stump of his neck, the man's body falls.

Seeing the body fall, Corven quickly stores it as well as the woman's corpse, and runs next to a garbage can to vomit, after hes done, he leans his back against the wall to rest for a moment.

*Pant...pant...pant..*

No sounds in the alleyway can be heard besides the panting corven is involuntarily making.

With his body shaking, he clutches his head as light blue tears slowly descend from his right eye, and normal tears descend from his left.

"S-Stat-tus" he says with a nervous stutter.

Unable to handle the thought of killing someone at the moment, he summons his drawing panel, where he draws a small blue and green pill, with his hands shaking, it ends up far from perfect, being crooked, and miss colored on sides, but he eventually draws it, putting the description:

[Mind relief]- produces quick clarity for the consumers mind, allowing them to think calmly and rationally.

accepting the price as quick as he can, he shakily takes the pill before it dissappears.

Once Corven takes the pill, it takes him a moment, bit his mind quickly starts feeling fine.

Without shaking, he slowly repositions himself, and rubs away the tears from his eyes.

Almost as if his break down didn't happen, Corven starts searching for more ghouls to hunt, exploring every alleyway he can until the sun eventually starts showing its peak, and with the long night of hunting passed, Corven arrives back home, with a heavy smell of blood soaked to his body and a distant look In his eyes.

(I am just SO tired, I nearly dozed off finishing this, so if there's mistakes my apologies, btw of anyone has kagune ideas for some enemies then send them in, if you can make up a name i might use it sometime for some. sorry for chapter a lil shorter than the rest)
