Chapter 46: Gone with The Wind

Ivy had only managed to get a few hours of sleep. She had tossed and turned all night. Partly, it was due to Kim’s snoring, but mostly, her brain had refused to shut down and allow her body to rest.

As she walked down the corridors, she caught sight of her reflection in some of the mirrors that adorned the well-lit passages. She wished she felt as cool and presentable as she looked. As a businesswoman, she had mastered the art of hiding her true anguish from the outside world.

She had spoken to Jane and asked her to head today’s events. Ivy had already shown up for the morning meet and greet. She was now retiring to the solitude of her cold and lonely room.

In the breakfast room, Andrew hadn’t been anywhere in sight. His clothes were still in the room. Where could he have gone? Jane had seen and spoken to him last night, but after leaving her room, he had done a Houdini.
