Andrew sat at the airport and closed his eyes. He had managed to spend the night hopping from one casino to the next. This morning, he had seen an opportunity to grab his bag and clothes and had taken it. He was a coward, yes.
All he knew was running from one girl to the next, how was he to give Ivy the love that he deserved? Already, he had hurt her because of his foolish acts. Hadn’t he been warned to not let emotions take over his better judgment? If he could go back in time, he would change everything. Including the reason he was the way he was.
Andrew pulled out his phone and dialed. After a few rings, his mother picked up the phone.
“Drew, hi. How is the trip, and how is Ivy?” Andrew swallowed hard.
“Mom, do you and Dad love each other?” There was silence on the other side, and then he heard shuffling.
“I have you on speaker, Drew. Dad is here as well. Your dad and I love each other so much. What makes you ask such a question?” his mother said.
