The days at Peter's house turned into weeks. For the most part, his injuries had healed, but it seemed to Alex that no progress had been made in regard to the investigation of Sam's murder. Every time she asked him about moving back into her home, he begged her not to for her own safety. The desperation in his voice caused her to stay. It wasn't like Peter to emit desperation, and it scared her.


On one hand, she liked living in his home. She enjoyed his company and wasn't feeling so lonely anymore. On the other hand, it felt kind of weird, and she missed being in her own house. She also found it more and more difficult every day to simply keep her mouth shut and not ask too many questions about the progress of the investigation.
