CH 21: gaining magic
John opened his inventory and was amazed at the amount of equipment in there but knew that it wouldn't be enough. Taking out all the items other than the skill stones John asked everyone to use these items to create more equipment for the boss raid. Everyone was of course tired but thanks to the increased health regen they were full of energy once again.
'I guess the health regen also helps with people's energy aswell.' John thought
This would definitely be useful for the future but for now he decided to get to creating the gear. It took two pieces of goblin skin to create a chest plate and one of everything else to create whatever they needed. After around 2 hours everything was finally crafted and they managed to get it all collected together and John was pleased with the added equipment.
"(inventory)" John muttered under his breath
After using his inventory he noticed that he actually had a whole lot of equipment but still not enough to get everyone equipped so he would only be able to get a small amount of people to actually go out and hunt later on.
He got as many people equipped with items as he could and put them on a rotation this meant that everyone could get used to using either swords, daggers or bows allowing them to get many times the experience within a short time. Unfortunately this would stop people from becoming a master at a weapon anytime soon but it would increase their flexibility with fighting styles and different weapons.
Looking at those left at the canteen during the first rotation John decided to start teaching them how to use hand to hand combat. Despite never having a teacher John did get first hand experience during the dungeon. when he got stuck at the boss room he would sometimes just start using his hands to fight and managed to become proficient with them but he never gained a skill, much to his disappointment.
"did you learn this during your last regression?" David asked as he stepped away from those he was sparring with.
"no it was in the dungeon probably around the 89th version." John replied simply
David looked at him and decided not to talk about that anymore, after all he's died 101 times by now so it must of affected him mentally.
After an hour of sparring and teaching those who had left to hunt and gain first hand experience came back and everyone switched equipment. John had done it so half were hunting and half were learning hand to hand combat.
Leaving his party to teach the new group John decided to try controlling magic again and hopefully with his skills he might be able to succeed this time.

getting his breathing into a steady rhythm he started to search for his magic, this time he found it in around five minutes this time. Despite the time being faster John would of preferred for it to be quicker but alas he knew that in the future he would be able to find it within a heart beat. As he grabbed hold of the magic he started moving it around his body trying to move it further than he did before. After what felt like and hour he finally realised why he couldn't move it any further.
The magic wasn't actually inside his body but instead a sort of seperate spacial area which was in turn connected to his body near his heart. He also realised that he wasn't drawing the magic into his body previously but instead controlling the magic that was already there but he couldn't control all of it and only a portion which is why he found it hard to get more magic into his grasp. Once he found this out he decided to try experimenting with drawing the magic out of the spatial area and instead into his actual body. He tried many different ways to get it into his body by changing one factor everytime. speed, amount, how much it was condensed, the direction it hit the side of the area even the rotation of the magic. After what felt like a few days of experimenting he finally reached a breakthrough and moved the magic into his body. The way he had to move the magic was rather complicated and if he didn't focus properly he probably wouldn't of found this out.
In order to move the magic from the spatial area and into his body he had to follow these steps
1. He had to collect what felt like 1/5 of his magic so at least one magic stat point
2. He had to condense the magic to a size of 1/10 of its size, this stayed true even when he managed to use two magic stat points
3. After condensing it he had to form the magic into the form of a sphere and spin it around as fast as he could
4. After the sphere was at a constant speed he had to then spin the sphere around the edge of the spatial area which was also in the shape of a sphere
4. Once the sphere was rolling around the edge of the spatial area he had to them move it straight to the opposite side of the spatial area compared to where it was
After completing these steps John was finally able to move the magic into his body. Once he managed to move the magic to his body and move it outwards in all directions he suddenly woke up his whole body twitching in pain, his body was covered in sweat as he gasped for a breath which never came.
