CH 26: true boss battle pt:2

John ignored the system notification not even bothering to read it before he got rid of it after all he was in the middle of the battle. Terry walked slowly her steps steady and calculated, she could feel the elemental magic swirl around her body and she knew instinctively how to control it and what she could do. As John dodged another attack and jumped backwards a sudden surge of heat passed infront of him causing him to jump back even more to stop himself getting injured. During the brief break he checked his vitals and saw that his magic was nearly depleted and his health wasn't looking much better. Terry suddenly jumped forward her speed reaching a whole new level. As she reached the boss she lifted her sword as it glowed bright red flames exploding outwards before condensing around the blades edges.

John saw this spectacle as he breathed heavily. David barely manged to dodge out of the way before the flames appeared the first time and now was shocked at the power held by Terry. The sword was now fully condescend with a large amount of magic and was sent down onto the goblins neck.

The goblin looked up as it saw the sword come towards his neck, its survival instincts as he lifted his arm as quick as possible it's palm just barely blocking the sword but that wasn't enough as its blade sliced through the arm like butter.

John rushed back in ready to finish this as did David. Jack and katlyn finally got up with heavy injurys and drew their bows as far as possible and activated their skills but this time with full knowledge on what they were doing. Jake and ole stood up and rushed forward their swords ready to attack with full force. With seven people ready to attack it the boss released its killing intent as much as possible but it was futile, Terry's sword cut through its shoulder its right arm now sliced in two unable to move it. John lifted his sword a sudden image of a string connecting his blade with the middle of the goblins back as he was currently behind it.

David could feel his skin strengthen and become heavier as he lifted his sword and swung it down to the goblins left arm with more momentum as compared to previously. Jake and ole appeared besides Terry on her right and left respectfully ready to thrust their swords towards its heart. Terry's sword hit the ground and she changed the trajectory ready to send it straight back up to the goblins chin ready to cut its head in half. Josh despite being immobile grabbed one of his daggers and prepared to throw it to the right of the goblins ribcage.

Jack and katlyns bows were fully pulled back and held as much power as possible the magic in their body's charging up the arrows as much as they could handle. John felt extreme joy as he knew what the string that connected his sword and the goblin meant, it meant he would gain a class a section on his status which had originally been empty except for all of ten seconds in the dungeon.

John activated the new skills aswell as every other skill which could be used to empower his party or weaken the goblin. The boss kept sending out it's killing intent but it barely made a difference as no one stepped back.

Jack and katlyns arrows were released a large amount of the grey/silver magic swirling around the tip, the arrows spun round like a bullet being fired from a rifle as they came closer to the boss. Josh threw his dagger with as much strength as he could muster. Jake, ole and Terrys swords inched closer to the chest and the head. David's skin began to crack and looked similar to the dirt on a hot day when it dried up and cracked but the weight from the skin made his sword fall down with incredible strength. John followed the thread as he knew it would help tremendously.

John's smile grew as everyone's attacks grew closer and closer. It felt like time had slown down as their attack finally bore fruit. All the attacks hit their mark and dug deep tearing through the goblin mayor with minimal difficulty. A scream of despair could be heard from the creature as its injurys bled a large amount of blood.

*RRRRRAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHUEGKDV*

The goblins scream became gurgled towards the end as it chocked on its own blood, its eyes becoming dull as its death drew near. A loud thud was heard as the goblins body finally hit the floor.

*HUFF* *HUFF* *HUFF*

Everyone was panting hard as thet had burned through their stamina. Josh fell unconscious as he lost to much blood and couldn't stay awake any longer. Terry's flames had disappeared the only change being that her previously blonde hair had turned bright red with orange/yellow highlights at the bottom resembling fire. David's skin had turned back to its usual black color instead of that of the brown colour of the earth. Jack and katlyn had fell onto their backs looking up at the sky their breathing becoming ragged from using all their magic. Jake and ole had their arms around each others necks cheering in joy at the death of the goblin mayor. John stood their in silence with a large smile on his face as he saw his class section in his inventory had finnaly been filled.

John felt a sudden wave of nausea hit him as he checked his body for injurys and realized he had many large cuts and bruises aswell as what felt like many fractures and a few broken ribs

*THWUMP*

[hosts injurys are extreme]

[HP 1/13 (+3)]

[HP will be reduced every minute]

John saw his notification and crawled his way towards the dead body. He needed to get there, once he did he could use his glutton skill and heal himself but if he couldn't then he would die and be forced to restart from the beginning again.

[2 seconds until death]

*CHOMP*

John managed to reach the body and everyone turned to him as he bit the body and ate part of its flesh. John let out a sigh of relief as he stood up. He could feel his ribs crack back into place and heal, he felt all his fractured bones heal as though they had always been fine.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" David screamed in horror as he saw John start chomping at the body.
