The Dungeon

A few days passed and the next day arrived.

During my considerable free time, I have prepared many things that I need. Since this was a dangerous dungeon, buying enough high quality healing potions was the first thing to do.

It was an expensive potion that cost the equivalent of an ordinary house in the capital of the Republic, one could sell one potion to exchange it for a house, a pretty ridiculous exchange if one asked me.

Maybe because the production costs are quite expensive and the materials needed can only be obtained through imports from abroad, making Potion prices very expensive.

You know, the taxes in the Republic are big enough to make high-quality goods many times more expensive.

Meanwhile, several entrepreneurs used the services of the Burnet family to gain more profit by reducing production costs, and many even imported from the Theocracy in the form of finished potions.

And as for me, I want to thank the Burnets for making my job so much easier.

Kyle then walked over to a guard so he was right beside him.

His eyes flickered slightly as a hand reached for something from his uniform pocket.

"300 gold coins, where is the item I asked for? "

"A complete dungeon map is sufficient for you to explore the dungeon without any problems. "

"Good, give it to me. "

This is a bribe that is usually done by people with full wallets, although there are other words that are more appropriate.

"May the goddess bless you, thanks for the donation to the poor. "

"The Goddess Book tells me that being generous brings great rewards."

Yes, it's charity work that's actually bribery. Or maybe the guard thought that this bribery was a charitable activity.

Things go well if I carry the name of the goddess on the back, at least for the common people it is necessary.

Even though it's obvious I don't like goddesses, but I have to look like a devout Republican in order to avoid getting into trouble with illicit transactions.

Amazing, right? I look like a rotten criminal who uses the name of a goddess for personal gain.

As Kyle thought that, He narrowed his eyes at the reality he understood.

...

Wearing a uniform with armor on the chest, Kyle practically saw that the adventurer's or knight's uniform completely lacked the aspect of fusionality.

In basic logic, to be an endurance knight one should put metal on every vital point of the human body, but that wouldn't apply in the face of the basic attribute system and the like.

Therefore, for some reason the knight uniform is made very fashionable which can spoil the eye.

Then for Kyle, he could see Irina wearing expensive armor that was very luxurious when worn by a beautiful white-haired girl.

Hufff— Irina always looks beautiful, I can't turn my face when she sees me, cough!!

"Darling, I've been waiting for a long time," Irina said as she held Kyle's hand.

"You do look beautiful as usual, Honey. "

"Of course Darling looks pretty to me too. "

Irina then came closer to my face and smoothed the collar of my shirt which she didn't think was too neat to look at.

But that is not the real goal.

He then brought his lips closer to mine and we kissed.

The sweetness of the lips from the luxurious lipstick and the sweet smell of Irina's hair seeped into all of my senses. I feel the coolness when the wind blows towards me.

"We are seen by many people, we better continue later. "

"It's okay Darling, they can only see without being able to do anything. "

I've been making out with Irina as much as she asked, every thing that could be called a lover we've done except for one thing my little sister Lily forbids me to do.

Next, I stroked Irina's hair as she smiled at me.

"Brother, I want to be petted too," Lily said as she brought her head closer to Kyle.

"Ah—You too, okay here Lily come over here. "

This is my little sister, even though she thinks of me as an unreliable older sister, she always asks for my attention.

I stroked Lily's hair until she was satisfied.

"Okay enough. Stop it," Lily said with a pretty red face.

Lily then held onto her long witch hat while gripping the long wand to hide her embarrassment.

White shirt and black robe, Lily looks like a black magician if you look at what she's wearing, although it's true that she can only use Black Magic but the people around me can't possibly know that.

There were quite a number of knight class people here, but they didn't seem to pay much attention to us, or perhaps they avoided looking this way.

Irina, Lily, and I. Now there is only one person left.

"Where is that man," Kyle said as he looked around for the last member of his party.

My eyes looked in all directions and I finally found a man called Zen talking to someone I knew.

"Lady Cindy Austinus, it seems that after what Sister Irina did, Lady Cindy has finally chosen to ally herself with the Church Faction," Lily said in a fairly low tone of voice.

"I don't know who the man dressed as a priest is, but the blue-haired woman beside him is from the Military faction, if I'm not mistaken her name is Amalia Rounder. "

"Hmm…a party of four, one from the church faction and one from the military faction. Looks like the two factions are still trying to fight over the Austinus family... How about that, sister? Sister Irina can say hello to Lady Cindy to try to mend the relationship. "

Instantly I grabbed Irina's hand as she started to walk.

"Stop it-"

"It's okay Darling, I understand it makes you uncomfortable. I won't greet them."

Say hello to them, really? Girls like Irina greet them? I can't imagine what bad things will happen when Irina talks to them, last time it all ended up being a life and death battle for the future hero of mankind.

With Irina's personality, things might end badly, much worse than I could have imagined, of course I had to prevent it.

I then pulled Irina to whisper something.

"Commoners like those who don't want to be tools for the two of us, are not worthy of attention."

"Oh, yes. As Darling said. "

Hearing the two of us whisper, Lily started to look at me with slightly sharpened eyes.

"With that attitude of yours, I don't know how much trouble you've caused. Huff.. Sister Irina, you don't have to obey everything my brother says. "

To cool off, I had to turn the conversation in a better direction. It would be more comfortable if we talked about something lighter.

I then looked at a large statue in front of the Dungeon's door, it was a stone statue of a knight holding a spear. Ah— that might work.

"That statue of an adventurer wielding a sword looks very dashing," Kyle said.

Irina then reacted to my words.

"Oh, Darling likes knight statues? "

"Somehow, that's really cool," Kyle replied curtly.

"Speaking of statues, Darling. There is a story behind it all. "

"The story behind it? "

The story of a famous hero or adventurer, it sounds cliché. I'm sure that's what Irina will tell me.

"Yes, this pantung was made with the state budget approved by the parliament."

I started to hear something strange. I can feel it.

Then Irina continued.

"About 30% of state revenue from taxes is allocated to fund development that is useless. But the government faction still agreed to pass such a regulation. One of them was about stone statues all over the Republican capital. "

Approaching the stone statue and touching it, Irina then grabbed the pebbles that came from the hollow part of the statue. She then said back with the pebble in his hand.

She turned to me and dropped the pebble.

"From the budget that has been set to make the statue, only 10% is used for production costs. The rest is distributed to each member of the government faction that passed the regulation."

I subconsciously bit my lip when I heard Irina's words.
