Some had the misfortune to be birthed by rogues.

Banished from the shifters society, Rogues are branded as criminals and treated as less than. Cut off from their packs, most barely last a few years before losing their minds as well.

When it rains

There are two more attacks by the time Rain is let out of Dr. Lewis’ sight. She hears from Accalia that they were small but no less dangerous. A raid on their remaining food stores was luckily thwarted with no casualties. An attempt to dam their river which got caught early by a patrol. 


Every day Orion came to visit her and every day she asked, he shut her down. He grew weary day by day, a lack of sleep and excessive stress weight on his shoulders. He never stayed long, and the distance was hurting both of them. 


For Rain, days and nights began to blur together. Besides the odd visitor, only Orion, Liana, and Accalia came to visit her. 


Accalia came by to talk, bringing with her games and fresh clothes. Anything Rain asked for, Accalia could get for her. Except for an exit. She taught her a few of the card games. Rain never seemed to get the hang of it but Accalia never seemed to mind.
