I listened to an audiobook called Alice In Wonderland all day to improve my English. After the entire dream, I felt as if the primary language was alienated despite being English. It still felt like it was not at all. It was a whole new dialect that was still English, but not simultaneously.
It was hard for me to speak in the real world. After all this time, I finally made it back to reality. It's now a burning memory. And must be forgotten in the sands of time.
A seat onto the bench of the park of Guagua in the Plaza, its central area of the primary town. Smoking tobacco from a pipe, knowing to myself that buying pure tobacco rather than buying generic cigarettes is much cheaper.
And the fact that pure tobacco is much a healthier alternative than having to smoke those unhealthy, rather distasteful, and terribly addictive additives that are not meant to be smoked in the first place. The chemicals added in cigarettes are the majority of the ingredients than the actual nicotine itself.
And it is the one causing cancer and not nicotine itself. As far as I know, I am no professional. I just do my research before doing anything addictive. If it's safe, or lead to my own death. Either way, an addiction is an addiction. It is entirely terribly bad.
The sun was high up in the air, gazing down at the surface of the earth. Having little to no clouds, sitting with my legs crossed, sitting straight up rather than having to lean back or down.
I was meditating in deep space, visualising the audiobook's narration into my mind, focusing on my breathing, with my venti-sized cup of triple shot espresso on my side while having to look normal as if I was just resting on the park bench in public.
With the people walking around. I felt my mind in its alpha stage with the feeling that I was completely asleep, unaware of my surroundings, and could not feel my own body as if my own soul had ascended away from my physical self.
Seeing myself in a third-person perspective, in an out-of-body experience. Having myself to slow down my inhaling and exhaling as if I stopped breathing.
My caffeine-induced high blood pressure and palpitations were lowered down to its most dormant state of pure relaxation and solitude. My brain was entirely asleep, yet my body was completely awake.
That's where I've been interrupted by my father's close friend from their old gym, named Randy, with his dog humping on my leg. I felt frightened as I jumped because I thought I was in Wonderland, quite literally so due to the audiobook.
That's where I realised Randy was there with his dog. He sincerely apologised as he showed his wrath to his dog so it could behave.
That's where he asked me how I've been and what, out of all coincidences, we seem to have accidentally met up here.
"Sorry?" I asked, taking off my left earphone.
"Oh, sorry. I thought you were asleep." Randy apologised politely. "You looked so peaceful. I thought you were sleeping. It's weird to find someone sleeping with their back straight while sitting down."
"It's called meditation. You don't have to go in an Indian seat just to meditate. You can lie down, sit normally, stand up, or with legs crossed while a seat. Anything works."
"I love the accent! Where did you learn it?"
"Oh? I lost my sense of dialect ever since I woke up from my comatose. That's where I began to listen to British audiobooks."
"So, you have a job? Do you still go to school? How's life and your papa?"
"My father is fine. He was in the hospital today. Well, not life threatening, more like a check up."
"What happened?"
"What has happened is that he might have prostate cancer. Must I hope for the betterment of his health? Should be his mental health, too."
"Your accent is super impressive,- ugh… What's your name again?"
"Klei."
"Ah, yes! Kleine Thompson! Ha, ha!"
"Indeed so, I get that a lot most of my life. Although you did ask if I had a job or go to school, I dropped out for your information. And I do have a job. I'm an author on Amazon, Google Play, and WebNovel."
"Oh, that's so cool!"
I started to feel my ego-tripping against my mentality and became charismatic in my speech and started to talk confidently, "Indeed, so, I get paid around 500-1,000 dollars a month from my job as a novelist."
"Wow, your papa must be proud."
"Well, I don't think so. He never shows any reaction. He just nods and just goes silent like usual."
"That doesn't mean he's not proud. You do know your papa is usually like that. He's cold and distant but deep inside he truly cares for you."
"I suppose."
"So you like Harry Potter?"
"Just because I speak British and a writer does not mean I like Harry Potter. But thanks for the compliment, if that was your intention."
The conversation continued with my charisma, slowly charming him to like me more than how he was already impressed. He wanted to learn more about me. I told jokes related to any of the statements and questions of the conversation. I did not use Gen Z memes as jokes. Rather, any joke a millennial would understand. He laughed at every joke, and the way he showed his expressions seemed as if he was enjoying quite the conversation. That's where my ego fills up bigger and more inflated. That's when I used my charms that are already have enough to maximum effect on him to take it as an advantage to give me money.
"May I inquire about some dosh, mate?"
"A what?"
"Excuse me, may I inquire about some money?"
"Of course! I have ugh, around 150 right now. Why? You need some?"
"It is none but urgent."
"Sure thing, boss! Here. Let me grab some. I'll give you 500."
"You did not need to give more, but I highly appreciate it! Cheers, mate!"
"No problem, Kleine."
"Correction, not Kleine, but rather just Klei."
"Oh! Right, sorry. Ha, ha!"
"No worries. Have a good one, Randy." I left the scene as I walked away.
"You too!" he grins at me.
Haha… sucker…!
I spent the money on more tobacco packs and a Monster Energy Drink. And, of course, a bit of food here and there.
As soon as I overdosed on caffeine, I headed home to write more chapters for my current soon-to-be bestselling book. Then, when I finally had published it the following day. It was dawn when I finally finished it.
I slept the entire day and woke up at almost midnight. So I've slept longer than I should have.
I got an email as soon as I lifted my chin up from sleeping too long on the desktop of my computer. I opened it and read it. I was invited to sign a contract from WebNovel. That's when I felt excited.
