And as usual, it appears Ferrell's group may have grown out of a traditional satanic cult network (Ocala Star-Banner, 2-18-1998):

Like all vampire stories, it immediately runs into the question of, "Why the secrecy?"
Vampires can multiply like zombies, they're objectively more powerful than humans, and are only killable with specific weaknesses that would be impractical to mobilize on a large scale. If Vampires were real in the way we imagine them, they would be taking over and farming us like in Daybreakers.

I believe you have answered your own question there sport. Humans are practically mobil on a large scale. Despite the complexity we can manage. Vampires are fundamentally vulnerable during daylight attacks. they don't just sleep, they "die" during the day.
Even their mind control dramatically reduces in daylight. Vampires could hit hard intially, but will always become quickly vulnerable to sustained organised human resistance. They need many many more of us around as food too.
So the more vampire army they create, the more food source they deny themselves. Make a giant army that will starve itself, and become cannibal vampires. Probably real zombies were created by this happening in the past.
The vampires cannot mobilise on a large scale for long periods of time. Humans can.

Hey, it's me, K again. Just a disclaimer, no I'm not LARPing. Or I could just be fucking delusional right now.
I just checked this out just now, and the reason why I'm asking this is because of some kind of revelation to me. I don't know, I've always had all traits and scarily sometimes barely working disciplines of a Malkavian and I do have "Renfield Syndrome" myself.
I've always thought I'm some sort of weak vampire when I was young, I do have Bipolar Type 1 Disorder comorbid with psychosis. I see things and patterns that connect from everything to everyone and the stars and shit, it's wild, anything I see is like a constellation of a massive universe to SEE ALL THINGS.
Which when I "read" someone's mind, they either get scared, rather, the rest would just say "You're just good at observing body language and not a psychic." and they call me crazy!!!
Alot of wiccans just tell me "No that means you have an extremely high intuition than most people." But half of my good psychic diviniation are either OUTLANDISHLY DELUSIONAL, or SCARILY ACCURATE.
