Asta had launched at Lucifero, the demon king blocked the attack. He felt something different about Asta, "What are you? Why do you defile my presence? Before me all life should bow." Lucifero said as he looked at Asta. "I am boy born without mana, I didn't have magic but I fought alongside great warriors. In other to achieve my dream, Lucifero there is no way I'm losing to you here." Asta said in a deep voice. Lucifero tried to punch Asta but Asta blocked his punch. Their punches connected creating a number of shockwaves, the two titans kept exchanging blows after blows. This irritated Lucifero, "You little brat I will show my power I will make sure that you ease to exist." Lucifero said as he changed his form into a fiercer looking battle form. "Now come to your death, I will kill you, your loved ones and every human here." He said taking a fighting stance. "Asta that form is Lucifero war armor be careful he is using 90% of his powers, you have 2 minutes left." Anos said in Asta's mind. " Ok I will take down Now!" Asta said drawing his demon destroyer and demon slayer.
The others were still in shock because of Asta's new found power. "Amos can I ask what they did." Nacht said looking at the devil on floating over Alec's head. "It seems that the three devils combined their power in order to match with Lucifero. But if they did that they would need to absorb the host's mana, Asta doesn't have mana." Asmodeus said in place of Amos who was still thinking. "What then are they absorbing?" Alec asked. "His Lifeforce, Asta is giving up his life so that we may live." Amos said in a deep tone. His words sent a chill through everyone's spine, Noelle started tearing up, "No he said he will come back, he promised me." Noelle said crying. "That idiot what does he think he is doing?" Alec said clenching his fists.
Back in battle field, the fight grew more intense. The two went all out on each other each blow that connected sent a shock wave. They created a crater, Lucifero landed a blow on Asta's chest that sent him back. "I gotta end this now." Asta said, he grabbed the demon slayer and looked at Lucifero. He launched another attack, he struck Lucifero, he injured the demon king. Lucifero fired an attack at Asta. Asta blocked the attack, he looked at Lucifero ran up to him he then jumped into air, using Anos' telekinetic abilities he launched himself again towards Lucifero using his bull thrust move. He took one of Lucifero's arm, Lucifero grabbed Asta by his leg, " This time I will kill you." Lucifero said as he choked Asta. "I'm not done yet." Asta said as he lifted his demon slayer. He cut Lucifero's second arm off, this enraged the demon king, Lucifero then made the gravity around them increase twice than before. "Fall human FALL I SAID FALL!" Lucifero yelled, "Asta 1 more minute left." Anos said. "I won't fall." Asta said as he stood up. "DEMON SLASHERS!" Asta yelled the katanas appeared in his hands. "Goodbye Lucifero, Anti Magic: Double judgement slash." Asta said as he sent two fierce cuts towards Lucifero. "Impossible I am Lucifero the king of demons, the pillar of demons I can't be killed here." Lucifero said trying to dodge the attack. The attacks connected, the impact brought Lucifero down. "No I won't allow it, I won't." Lucifero said trying to run away, Asta raised his sword, "Die once and for all Lucifero." Asta said as he struck down Lucifero killing him. There was a mixture of joy relief and sadness in the atmosphere, "Hmm to think that the king would lose to you." Adramelech said on the boulder. Chills went through everyone's spine, "The underworld needs a new king and I sense you have no intention to go there, I will head back for now, but be warned humans I am not like Lucifero I will end you all." Adramelech said as he opened a portal to the underworld and left.
"He left, Asta your body is getting weak you don't have keep the form any longer." Anos said in Asta's mind. Asta then went out of the union mode, he couldn't stand on his legs any longer due to the union. "Liebe I'm sorry I didn't fulfil my promise to show you the clover kingdom." Asta said looking up, "You dummy you made me the happiest devil there is you helped me avenge Lichta i can't thank you enough" Liebe said with tears in his eyes. He turned to the others, and gave them his signature smile before falling to the ground, Yuno used his wind magic to catch his rival before he hit the ground. Everyone was now surrounding Asta, Noelle lifted his head and placed it on her lap. Asta opened his eyes to see the others and give them his final goodbyes.
"You guys please don't cry, we won didn't we. This calls for celebration, but i can't make it back with you guys." Asta said breathing heavily. Noelle in tears looked at the knight, "Asta, you promised me didn't you that you will come back to me, that we will get married, You're the worst how could you break your promise?" Noelle said in between sobs, the black bulls were all crying nobody was holding back, the realization that they are losing Asta for good hit them like a sliver bullet, Yuno and Mimosa were also crying. It was really a sad moment for everyone. Asta now looking at Noelle, "Noelle more than anything I wanted to spend more time with you and be with you. I couldn't just let him kill you. I really love you, I'm an idiot for realizing that late." Asta said, he then turned his gaze towards Yuno, "I didn't know that handsome jerks could cry, please wipe them off it doesn't suit you, I'm sorry I won't be here to see you become king, thanks for being my rival and brother." Asta said, Yuno who had been crying wiped off the tears in his eyes. "Who do you think you are talking To? Asta I should thank you for making me who I am today, and for being there when I needed it." Yuno said, Asta smiled. Asta then noticed Mimosa, "Mimosa, thank you for being a friend to me, you were the first royal to talk to me in calm manner. Please take care of yourself." Asta said looking at Mimosa. Mimosa nodded in reply, she was still trying to hold herself together. Asta then turned to the Black Bulls and Nacht. " You guys, don't cry we are the Black Bulls no matter we are the worst we are the toughest there is, Mister Nacht please take care of them for me." Asta said looking at Nacht, "I don't remember making you captain, but rest easy now kid." Nacht said holding back his tears. "Where is Alec? I have something to tell him." Asta said. Everyone then realized that Alex wasn't there. "I'm here." Alec said coming from behind. "Alec I am very sorry that I am not going to fulfil the promise I made b-." Asta started coughing up blood, "Shit it seems my time is up already." Asta said holding his chest, "Everyone I'm sorry and thank you for letting me be part of your lives, I'm glad I joined the magic knights, I'm glad I joined the Black Bulls. I'm glad I was part of you, goodbye." He said as he turned to Liebe and the two Ultimate devils, " I guess it's time." Asta said as he closed his eyes. Noelle who had been crying, bent her face down and kissed Asta. "Lay him down properly." Alec said with tears in his eyes. Noelle looked at him, and did what he asked. Alec walked up to Asta's lifeless body he knelt down beside it. Amos and Asmodeus appeared, "You are going through with this aren't you?" Amos asked, "I am. Asta I am not letting
you go like that, live not for yourself but for the woman you love for the promise you made me. For mister Nacht, Mister Yami, The Black Bulls, your rival, And the clover kingdom. You showed me that anyone can do anything with determination and faith so I have done my part in life, there is nothing else I can do." Alec said in tears, his mana started flaring up. "What is he planning?" Nacht asked in his mind, Alec then put a barrier, closing him and Asta in a small space. Everyone was surprised, "Mister Nacht, Clover Kingdom knights, Spade kingdom soldiers and elves it was an honour fighting with you, Mister Nacht thank you for taking me in, I don't see you as a master but as a father. I'm sorry but I have to do this." Alec said, Nacht was still surprised and confused, " Alec what are you trying to do?." Nacht asked but he got no answer.
Alec looked at Asta, he place his hand on Asta's chest. "Forbidden Magic: Life transfer." Alec said as a surge of power went from him to Asta. Patry and the other elves were shocked, "Stop him,that spell will kill him." Patry said looking sacred, "The life transfer, it will bring back anyone that died four to five minutes but in return will kill you. I guess he is trying to save the boy." Vetto said, Nacht then realized what was going on started trying to break the barrier but it was no use, "Alec no don't please don't please I can't lose anymore." Nacht said as he was hitting the barrier. Alec looked at him and smiled "it will be fine" was all he could mutter. "Asmodeus take care of Asta please." Alec said looking at the devil, Asmodeus nodded. Alec then started to releasean enormous amount of mana. "Lifeforce release, Asta live for all of them." Alec said as he transferred his Lifeforce to Asta, the mana release started reducing. Alec fell right beside Asta. "Hey Asta, remember how you once said you could give up your life to save someone, Well me too me too." Alec said as he closed his eyes. Amos started fading He turned to Asmodeus, "Oi partner, Take care of the kid for Alec I will see you in the afterlife if there is one for devils, hey humans make sure to heal him, his life might be back but his wounds are healed." Amos said fading away. The barrier then disappeared. Noelle rushed to Asta, "His heart is beating again." Noelle said with tears of joy. Mimosa and Patry started healing him but he was still unconscious. Nacht went to Alec's dead body and picked him up. "The good always dead, huh well till we meet again, Alec." Nacht said looking at Alec.
