Trying to get on his good graces

"You need to try more." My mother placed a steaming cup of hot tea in front of me.

"I've tried harder, mom. Tell me, what else should I do? I'm lost to that."

I've knelt on the floor, I've cried, and ice volunteered to tell him about my past. However, none of that seems to faze him at all.

It's like he has forever shut his door against me, and won't open up until the kingdom come.

"That's not what is called trying harder, Dan. I must confess, you are still in the beginning stage. You need to try harder if you want to get him to talk to you. David doesn't look like he's ready to be the one to initiate contact between you two, and I don't blame him.

Should I be the one in his shoes, I will be more than pissed, Daniel. Underline it, love. I will be more than pissed.
