Magic explanations

I got comment about which magic was stronger DND or HP and that is complicated, to fully explain magic in the two universes are very different.

In DND magic in very common in most planes And comes naturally like Sorcerers but they are merely conduits for the magic they use. Rather Think of DND mages as a power cable so they can only allow so much mana to flow through them or they will be overloaded and explode or be damaged, so they can only cast so many spells a day.

But HP mages they are batteries and can recharge and let out as much magic as they want with out consequence. But the down side is that only those born with magic have the ability to cast spells, unlike DND where anyone can learn to become a mage with enough time and effort.

But in terms of power in a straight fight a Low level DND wizard would destroy a 1-5 year Hogwarts student in a fight but any older the hHP wizard would win as the he have better stamina.

So TDLR DND mages have numbers and Magic developed for fighting along with being able to make monstrosities like Doppelgängers, HP wizard have more stamina and quality of life things.
