A moody wife

It was the fourth day of James and Evelyn’s vacation. If James had thought that this getaway time that he and his wife would spend together would help to relax her and make her forget all her worries, he was sorely mistaken. Instead of enjoying herself and being relaxed, Evelyn was more wound up than ever. The first night they arrived here, she had woken James up from a nightmare, screaming and fighting, and unintentionally hitting him in the face. All she had done since they got here was wake up, eat sparingly, and then go back to sleep, ignoring her husband’s plea for them to go out and make the most of their vacation.

“I really do not know what the matter is with you,” James said on the fourth morning, frustration etched on his handsome features. He was sitting at the edge of their hotel bed, while Evelyn was lying in it, pretending to sleep, even though she had spent the whole night sleeping. She did not answer him or even move, but James knew that she was not sleeping.
