“Hey babe.” he greeted and winked.
“Hey Sean.” I replied.
“Liked my trick?”
“S’not that hard.” I commented and placed a foot on the end of my skateboard.
“Oh yeah? You do it then.”
I shrugged. “Alright.”
He was surprised, but I just made sure my suspenders were in check, before I gave myself a push and skated down the ramp.
I used to do that trick all day long at home, it wasn’t a big deal.
I landed exactly next to Nate who was now leaning back on his BMX, watching me.
“Not bad Parker.” he spoke.
“So we’re on last name terms now?”
“How are you?” he asked.
“Uh, good?” I asked, surprised by his normal question.
He sat up straight on his bike and clenched his palms around its handles.
“See you on the other side baby.”
My heart fluttered at his name-calling and I watched him over my shoulder as he managed to go down the ramp and made the bike spin two times under him, before he landed safely on the other side.
