Chapter 2 SEVEN!!!

"You may leave!" he sent them out as he

needed time to think all this through.

"Yes, Alpha." The pack doctor replied with a small bow and instructed the nurses to go out along with him.

Once the door was shut behind the last person to get out of the room, he sat next to his mate. Rubbing her plump cheeks, he sighed. "Seven?" 'Yes, they are seven male pups.' He looked at where they lay and stood up to go to them. They had been placed in one huge crib in order of how they were born.

"Hey boys!" He cooed but the little ones were in deep sleep. It had been a great battle for them as well since they had to fight their way to come out. "Don't think papa is not happy to have you! I am happy, very happy...just, I don't how how we are going to move forward. Sigh!"

"Mmm..." his mate stirred awake with a moan. "Honey!" she called him through mindlink.

"Yes sweet pie!" He dashed over to her side with relief all over his face. "How do you feel, does it hurt so much?! Thank you so much honey! You are so great!" he rumbled on with praises.

"Am I? Great?" she asked with a chuckle which made the Alpha laugh too. "Yes you are the greatest!" he declared as he looked at her struggle to get her eyes open. He could feel her exhaustion through their bond but his mate was a sturbbon one and she was hellbent on waking up

"Then make me that chicken pie...I'm starving!" she murmured with a small laugh, her mate's pies were the worst food she had ever tasted but his favourite and best cooked dish. "Oh wait, how many babies were they?" she asked.

He was silent for a while which made the Luna restless. "Honey! Where are my babies? I know they..."

"They are ok darling!" he cooed her as his attention went back to her.

"Then why were you quiet?" she asked with a whine.

"Pie, they are seven male pups." he spoke softly trying hard not to be audible.

"SEVEN!!!" She went into shock. She sprung up into a sitting position in her bed and a wave of dizziness hit her real good, she hissed at the pain in her nether regions but gritted her teeth to contain the sharp pain. This made her groan but her drowsy eyes were searching for where her pups lay and well... they were indeed seven.

She tugged at her hair in confusion and the Alpha came over spooning her to comfort her. It was without a doubt shocking but it was done. Seven pups, all male, all possible Alphas with one pack land!!!! Should they be happy or should they start to worry?

"We will find a way dear. We will find a way! The goddess surely knows what's best for everyone." He soothed her caressing her arm up and down. The new mother soon calmed down. "Are you sure?" she looked up at her mate who nodded without hesitation. "100% sure my Luna." He smiled. "Now, don't you think we are really cool!" he asked with a smirk and raised brow trying to lighten up the atmosphere.

"Cool?" She asked with a frown.

"Yeah..." he replied smugly. "I mean, our hard work surely paid off....no, no, my hard work surely paid off!" He grinned which earned him a hard smack on his hand. He burst out laughing. His mate was still super shy....it had taken them a while, five years and they had not yet gotten any pups and for all those years, his sweet Elsa was still shy. Mating was the best experience for him as every time they mated, she'd cover her eyes and blush to death from all his teasing. Truth be told, he was the one doing all the hard work while his shy mate lay there enjoying his services!!!🤣

A knock on the door brought them back. Kissing her forehead, "I'll be back." Cal said and went to the door. He slipped through and went to meet his Beta, Gamma. They were anxiously waiting for him since the pack doctor had refused to utter a word of what had happened to the Luna.

"Alpha, how's the Luna doing?" The female Beta and Gamma asked anxiously as soon as their Alpha exited the room.

He signaled them to enter and be with their best friend and the ladies immediately rushed in without further ado.

"What's going on?" The Beta asked.

"She gave birth to seven pups!" Cal spoke proudly with a smile on his face. 'Like, who is he to complain? He should be happy and leave the rest to the future, right?!'.

"Congratulations, Alpha!" The Gamma congragulated his Alpha with a hug while the Beta was frozen in place.

'Sev....seven...SEVEN!!' His mind Shut down. 'I'm the one always locking my mate down to the bed to never leave the room but she's never given me those many!! Moon goddess, how so unfair!!!!!! I also want seven pups!!! No, I want a football team of pups. They must look exactly like my mate!' He made a silent prayer to the goddess.

The women on the other hand were enthusiastically busy checking out the seven male pups. "Have you gotten names for them yet?" The female Beta asked as she 'awe' at the cute looking pups. They were still asleep.

"We will manage that later." Elsa spoke as the female Gamma helped her drink some water.

"I bet Mike is gonna be super jealous!" The female Gamma spoke with a laugh which made the rest laugh as well. Mike, the Beta loved kids alot! He'd kill just to have thirty or more, that's why he had opened up an orphanage in the pack to cater for those little ones that had lost their parents. He treated them like a father would, loving them endlessly and taking time off his busy schedule to play with them whenever an opportunity arose. He'd forego food and play with the pups.

"How do you think the rest of the pack is going to take the news?" Elsa asked and the two ladies stopped their actions. They had felt her insecurity and fear.

"They are going to be super happy about it , Luna, you shouldn't even have a doubt about it. This is a rare occasion and if not the first in the history of werewolves. And I believe, your sons are going to play a great role in the future. I don't want you to have any doubts because we are going to stand by our Alpha and Luna and we are going to celebrate this blessing." The female Beta spoke her voice laced with trust and love for her Luna. They believe in her and she had proved herself a worthy Luna over the past years. They'd never ask for anyone other than her.

Elsa nodded in understanding breathing a sigh of relief. The two ladies engulfed her in a huge Wolfy hug to which they all laughed.

Back at the Alpha.

His Beta had been begging him to atleast give him five of the children so they could become his. He loved babies alot. "Aren't you my best friend? Just five...mmm, you keep the two! mmm?" But his constant pleas were ignored mercilessly by his Alpha.

"I'm going to be informing the pack about the good news." Cal spoke to Which all the men got serious. they were back to their positions as leaders and not buddies. "The council meeting has been done with in the last two months but I think it'll only be right if we let them know of this news."

"Don't you think we shouldn't let them know." the Gamma asked.

"I'm afraid the news will spread pretty fast and if they find out from others, they are gonna make a huge fuss about it all which will not be good for my pups." Cal spoke to Which the others nodded in understanding.

"I'll set off to deliver the news to the different council members in their packs." The Gamma spoke to Which the two nodded.

"Do that after the introduction ceremony of the pups to the pack is done. I'll aslo try to reach out to father and see what he thinks of this. Mom would also love to see her grand kids." He spoke with a smile to which the other two also smiled. Once the previous leaders stepped down who were their parents, they jointly went out to travel the world and had promised to only come back if the kids put in extra efforts to bare pups.

It had been as long as sixty years since they last communicated and since this new generation of leaders stepped into their positions.

The pack members were all called upon and they were visibly excited. Though Cal was worried of how they'll take the news, he had to let them know. "My pack." he reached out to them through mindlink. "Your Luna has successfully given birth to the new and future leaders of this pack."

The pack members were so happy that they jumped and clapped their hands some shifted and howled out to the moon.

"It is a blessing indeed and I can't really contain the joy that's filling my entire being." He spoke to Which they all nodded with huge grins. "The Luna has given birth to Seven male pups for our pack." He shared the news to them.

Their first reaction was confusion as they looked at eachother to ensure that they heard everything correctly then their expressions turned into those of shock, then into disbelief.

"I understand your emotional state but I hope you will accept this blessing of the moon goddess upon our pack and welcome my sons whole heartedly." He spoke monotonously when he saw their confused faces. "They shall be introduced to you on their introductory ceremony which will be held in three months from now." Cal gave his final message and left the room.

The Beta was looking at the pack members in disappointment. "Don't let your Alpha down." he spoke coldly and left the room as well.

"You should have done better, pack!" The Gamma also spoke and exited the place.

The pack members were left there feeling bad for their behaviour towards their Alpha whom some had watched grow and seen how great he helped their pack prosper. The fact that he was even bestowed title of Alpha King by the moon goddess courtesy of his outstanding leadership skills, they felt bad for not believing in him. Their actions today proved to him that they never trusted him and the moon goddess.

"How did they take the news?" Elsa asked as she set the last baby to sleep. They had awoken and she dutifully fed them then with the help of the female Beta and Gamma, they put the little one's to sleep. She didn't know what happened at the small meeting since her mate and blocked her communication from the pack members.

Kissing her cheek, he settled where he could see his pups clearly. "They were shocked." He siad to which Elsa turned to him in worry. "It was expected of them. Actually if they weren't shocked, I'd know I don't have a loyal pack. I'm really proud of them, atleast they didn't protest or say anything bad towards you or the pups. They just need to process the news and they'll come around." Cal explained to his worried mate as he pulled her to sit on his lap. "Everything will be alright, trust me." he whispered in her ear to which she shivered at the delicious sensation that ran through her making her close her eyes. "I trust you!" she whispered back.

He had managed to get into their conciousness and was able to see no malice from all of his pack members. This made him believe they'll come around somehow.

Lots of love from litto-ways ❤️❤️❤️❤️
