Chapter 4 At the Academy

The journey took them twenty days. Ten to get to the boarder. The Princess endured the harsh weather. The glaring blazing sun and harsh cold nights, she didn't have to worry about her safety since Admiral Keith had been sent along with other knights. She never complained, when they took rest at small towns, her siblings were back in taunting her. Though it hurt, she couldn't show her pain to Risella and Belinda.

The maids on the other hand were fumming and wished to defend their Princess which was impossible. The Admiral was watching and couldn't say a word, the other knights also pitied the little princess and only hoped the best for her.

When they crossed the Berendal border, the cart the little princess had been using couldn't proceed further in the journey since the animal was dead tired hence the Princess had to commute as initially planned.

The joint army at the Central plain border made a small check and it was at this point that Admiral Keith had to let the royal princeses and Princes proceed without him.

Belinda and Risella flung their heavy luggage over their shoulders and prepared to leave. The little princess was glowing in excitement, actually she was very cheerful all throughout the journey as she came to know of different animals and various herbs. The Royal philosopher had been filling in on the little princess about the various things she was curious about.

He was happy that she had interest to learn unlike the other royal children and had promised to tell her more once they reached the academy.

As the little princess waited for her brothers and sisters to take the lead, she felt a tug on her shoulder startling her abit. She turned around and noticed it was Admiral Keith. "Your Highness. I've been calling you for a while but your mind seemed lost!" He spoke. "I'm sorry I dared to tug at her Highness." He apologized.

"No need, it's ok! You are older hence I should be the one bowing down to you. It's ok. Oh, by the way, why does the Admiral need to speak to me?" she asked as she innocently watched the older man.

"Her Highness should use this carriage." He stepped aside and presented the carriage to her. It was nothing fancy but it was worth a carriage to carry someone important though not as extravagant as those her brothers and sister rode. "I apologize for letting you go through all the torture initially. I hope her Highness will forgive me for my negligence and inability to look after you." He bowed deeply with remorse. He had wantyd to offer his carriage to the princess but received a warning glare from the crown prince hence he waited until this point when they'd be so excited and he'd offer his help.

The little princess was in tears of joy. Finally Risella and Belinda would get to ride comfortably. "Thank you so much Admiral Keith. It's so kind of you!" she replied with a smile holding herself back from hugging the man as she normally does with her maids. The Admiral didn't waste time anymore and even assigned one of the royal guards under his command to protect the princess.

"My name is Emmy Rosewood, Your Highness." The guard bowed introducing himself to which she smiled. He couldn't believe he was chosen to serve the most beautiful of the princesses in Berendal according to the imperial records. The guards were head over heels for her and many dreamed to be honoured to marry her because they were aware the queen wouldn't send her off to another kingdom or marry her to members of the higher society. She was generally the dream of every man in the kingdom.

Beautiful, down to earth, kind, loving and caring.....not some proud and arrogant princess!

One carriage was enough for the three ladies and their luggage. The guard was the one in charge of being the horse man.

Along the way, they met other royal children from the other human kingdoms and those that were familiar with each other caught on so soon about the past.

The princes and come together and were riding their horses talking and getting to know eachother. The princesses were busy admiring Prince's from the other kingdoms and generally gossiping about them.

The little princess only left her carriage at night once they came to a stop. Her maids had over heard how the Princes were betting on different princesses and they knew their lady would be in deep trouble if those men caught sight of her.

Actually, her sisters had been looking around to catch sight of her but since they didn't know that she had taken a carriage, they never got the chance to spot her until they reached the Central plains capital.

It was like the Capital city of the entire continent. Different creatures came over for trade and all, to engage and learn about the other creatures. It was a fascinating sight to see!

Centuars, Humans Fairies, Faes, Vampires, the were kind, Witches, Warlocks, Elves, the half-goat people amond many different creatures.

The little princess kept peeping from her window and what she saw had her gasp. The creatures had made way as they watched the Royal entourage match to the capital palace. They were all happy and actually jubiltlating.

"It seems they are welcoming us Your Highness!" Belinda spoke as her eyes continued to drop from their sockets at the different creatures she saw. Risella on the other hand was too shocked to even speak as her eyes held fascination for the other creatures. They were so beautiful and so magical!

They matched throw the crowds of hundreds of thousands of different kinds till they finally made it to the Capital palace.

It was a grand palace of an ivory shade towering and bigger than any castle the princes and princesses had back in their home lands. The little princess who was there for the first time was awed that her jaw dropped..

"It's so unladylike!" Risella commented as she helped her lady close her mouth. The little princess snapped back to reality and gave a goofy smile. Who wouldn't go into a trance at the magnificence of this place. They reached and had to get out of their carriages. Belinda offered the little princess a cloak that she used to cover her over striking beauty. Things could get ugly if she wasn't careful!

They were lead into the magnificent palace by an Elf who introduced himself as Rien. He was head of the disciplinary department. He was tall with sharp ears poking from his long black hair and he looked really young. But he had warned them that looks were deceiving and he was way older than what he looked like. Overall, he was warm and welcoming.

The human kind had been the last to arrive hence when they made way to the grand hall, they were met with hundreds of pairs of eyes looking at them. Some of the magical creatures sniffed the air, a habit they do to get familiar with strangers and calm down their beast sides.

The Human kind finally also settled in their seats and awaited the welcoming ceremony.

Here everyone was the same.... or not?!

The little princess was in awe as she sneakily behind her mask watched the different creatures from up close. She had come in alone since Belinda and Risella had gone to arrange their sleeping quarters that had been assigned to them. Besides her sat another princess who seemed to be down to earth too since she was clothes in simple clothes....not normal like hers.

She was brought back from her thoughts by a loud voice.

An Oldman, standing with the help of a walking stick stood elegantly at the stage as he addressed those before him.

"Your Royal Highnesses! We are glad to have you honour this ritual that was set up by our ancestors to ensure peace and harmony among all kinds. The magical and those that aren't. We are blessed to be gathered here today for the 1000th Grand Royal Peace Union. I believe you have been lectured about what goes on around here but I'll do the honour to recount on what you need to know."

This Union is going to take place for a year. "Hence, you are going to be here for a year among leaders from different kinds. You are expected to engage and build alliances. Learn and don't judge others just because you don't know them or because you hear strange rumours about them."

"I'm going to have to emphasize this to the Human race. You are free to engage with other kinds but you must put in mind that they aren't like you! What I'm trying to say, you are going to get exposed to their nature. Attraction is going to be there but you MUST know that the magical creatures are entitled to their mates be female or male. Don't force a relationship if a particular person you are attracted to isn't your mate."

"As for the others who might find your mates among the humans..." his attention turned to the magical creatures. "You have to know that they aren't aware of how things work in our world's hence you are bound to go easy on them. Keep your beasts in control!" He concluded with a small smile to which his audience applauded. "Once again I'm head of this Union, Gibson Les a hybrid of the were kind and witch kind. You can come to me incase of any problems. You may leave to your resting abodes for the meantime as we shall meet again to mingle during the welcoming dinner." He gave a bow and left the stage.

Silent murmures erupted as the Royal princes and princesses looked around. Yes they were exhausted but wanted to get acquainted with eachother soon.

A group of seven young men of almost the same height, standing at 6 ft and above with well built frames were the first to exit the hall. Their demeanor and aura attracted loads of attention making the princesses gush. The men were so handsome, all dressed in white casual two piece clothes and crowns made of the most precious and rare jewels in the whole continent.

"Oh my God who are they?!" The Human princesses swooned.

"They are so handsome!"

"And manly!"

"They have a slight resemblance to eachother. Another princess noted though her look was not of love at first sight or admiration." She just looked at them curiously.

"What kingdom are they from?" Another asked no one on particular.

"They are from the were clan. Specifically the Lycans!" A princess with pointed ears most likely from the Elf kind spoke up.

"Lycan? What is that?" Another curious princess asked as she moved closer. When the Human princesses saw that there was some one willing to share information, they moved over

"Lycans are also called the were wolves. Basically descendants. The Seven princes are sons to the Alpha King, born on the same day."

"Gosh! "

"Wow!"

"Impossible! How can someone give birth to seven babies at the same time?"

"So scary!!"

"But they are so handsome!"

"So who is going to be the king?"

The discussion went on.

The seven princes made their way to their quarters silently.

Lots of love from litto-ways ❤️❤️❤️
