"What do you want for your reward?", Sara asked Aavesh.
Aavesh became silent for a while, thinking what would be suitable.
Why was Aavesh getting a Reward now? Simple- Achievements as a Cultivator!
Were Achievements easy to achieve?
Fuck No!
Aavesh not only Unlocked The Origin Path Systems- He Unlocked the Legendary Levels in Stage 0 and reached its Peak in all 3 Directions- Body, Soul and Qi!
So he was going to be rewarded anyway by the Universe.
"I - I want to recover the Memories within these Augmentations, but safe - No traps",Aavesh replied exhaling out.
He truly wasn't able to take time and find a safe Space for Mythic Crystals- Let alone Evolution Units.
But Cultivation had to continue.
Sarakshi gazed at him with a complicated Expression and then spoke," So be it"
After that she spoke again," Little Brother I am going to sleep for a while, So I won't be able to help you directly for a long time- Take Good Care of the Astral Thought Prism and Find the Other Prisms as quickly as possible, with them you may survive should you wish to collect more Abstract Absolute Elements!"
"Your Ancestor sure was Hard Working, yes he was responsible for the Soul Blessing, but this is also the Will of Lord Yama and the other Lords who he tutored under- So be very respectful, they are in a way your Grandmasters as well!"
"Lastly, Aavesh be careful - I sense something off, Beware the Ten Tyrants, Take Care Little Brother", She stopped talking after this as Silence filled Aavesh's mind.
Aavesh stood silently for a bit, he was happy that she had reached out to him, even if it would just be a conversation, he felt cared for and it briefly reminded him of those warm Feelings.
'Every Time I part ways with my loved ones, it's never easy and it creates a void in me that I just can't fill... anyhow I can't change the things like this, Gotta suck it up! Must be strong- So Strong that I won't have to Part ways like this again!', Aavesh picked himself up and sank back into the Simulation.
As soon as he came he felt his whole body sting and a fresh amount of Coherent Data surging into his mind.
He immediately sat down and let the Process Continue as Coral kept watch.
15 minutes later, Aavesh cracked his hands and neck as he got up from all that information overload.
He performed a set of stretches to relieve the fatigue in his body after that Information Overload.
His Body in reality was also feeling a bit of relief from it.
Thankfully Coral had given that software update to his Simulation and the changes in his Simulation world would now reflect in his Body at will- he could turn it on and off whenever he desired.
He took the opportunity to briefly check all kinds of Information he had recovered, atleast now he would be able to fulfill his Promise to Master Perseus!
Information on Runes, Arrays, Weapon Smithing, Ships and other N Number of Technologies were now present within his mind.
It didn't take long for him to assimilate all of this Knowledge with the help of his mental Augmentations.
He could tell that the info in his mind was atleast SS Level and the Human Alliance had still yet to catch up with this level, or rather they had gone down the wrong Technology Tree Path, for Example only the Human race possess the Mecha Technology that actively burns their Brains overtime and thereby reduces lifespan while other Humanoid races like Elves, Orcs, Savarians, Jogons, Metal Dwarves etc don't face the same problem - instead they use Mecha to Hone their Mental Strength.
This is just a bit of the Tech Tree that has branched off into the wrong Directions!
The Current Mecha Technology is not conducive to Human Cultivators despite it's awesome Firepower as it Overloads the Neural network within human brain which reduces the Lifespan rapidly!
Why don't the Human Cultivators at higher levels even use Mecha when their Xeno Counterparts easily do!
Simple it will fuck with their Foundations, weaken the bond and quality of their Mythic Power while damaging their Brains.
How fucking unfortunate it was that whenever someone would attempt to fix this - they would suddenly struck by some kind of bad luck and outed as a legendary fraud, deserving a death sentence after which they simply disappear- all sounding very suspicious.
'Anyway, I can't be bothered about it for now- there's a lot of interesting information that has been recovered- especially the Artificial Energy Compression technology, it gives me an idea to work on!'
"Coral let's proceed with training now, no more random interruptions", Aavesh spoke out.
"That's... Very good - I am just a little overwhelmed at what you just experienced", Coral replied in a somewhat dazed voice.
"I've been there before, it's normal now for me- Really", Aavesh chuckled wryly, how could he not understand her feelings... Shit just happens man.
"Normal?", Coral shuddered for a moment and then immediately asked,"You were in communication with a Mysterious Entity which you referred to as Sis Sara?"
"Oh, well - she's the current Avatar of the Cosmic Will, she's kind of like an Elder Sister to me, she looks out for me you know", Aavesh replied.
"C- C- Cosmic Will Avatar?!",Coral spoke with infinite dread in her voice.
"You have such a big background?", She asked tremblingy, almost unable to take it in
Aavesh waved his hand at her and said," It's not that big- she's actually a very kind and fair person, don't get too worked up"
'Dont get too worked up? My Ass! Damn- Whatever I'll just let it be, this disciple is going to be very special, atleast it increases my assurance that I might reunite my other selves, I can faintly feel them but all I sense is Loneliness and agony, I hope we won't be too late, Let's focus on training this Kid- on Max Level Difficulty!', Coral had a determined look when she thought this.
"Aavesh pay attention to the Memories I am about to display to you! You have to carefully comprehend them and then immediately Fight ILLITHID Opponents, not some random enemies from your Memories - You will Elite ILLITHID Warriors, until you understand 'it'", Coral spoke seriously.
Aavesh immediately replied,"Go ahead Coral"
Coral then punched her tiny fist into the ground causing a wave of Bright Light to engulf Aavesh.
Aavesh felt a familiar silence and then opened his eyes, only to see he was a part of a Clone army squad that was undergoing training in a year unknown, in a completely new Lush green world where they were training in the open field.
Everyone had the same face and expression with minimal difference, the only person standing out was the instructor, who was also a clone but more middle aged.
The instructor spoke," The Yama school is but one of the Grand 5 Schools, to be the only ones capable of truly killing Illithids with every move!"
"We are children of Oblivion, Death and Samsara - we owe our existence to the First Mind Breaker and Lord Yama who has passed down this legacy to us exclusively "
"But don't be complacent or Arrogant! Each Oblivion Team is made of 5 and all 5 come from the 5 Schools! This a rule for all Mind Breaker Squad - You are the Sword but the sword alone can't beat the Illithids - You need the others, without them truly killing Illithids will be a Joke!"
"So cherish your brothers in arms! Don't ever betray your squad or we will sic the Mind Breaker Armies upon you!"
"Now you must remember, Yama Arts is not for Defence or speed, it is Stealth, Hunting and Killing! You can fail anything but not these 3 core skills"
"Observe"
*Shhhh
The instructor who stood before them began to blend into the surroundings in an instant, although they could see him but his figure had become hard to concentrate on, his footsteps became soundless, his scent became non existent, there was no mental fluctuation - his mind had become calm as an untouched Pool of still water.
Aavesh watched on with widened Eyes - such a Powerful way of stealth.
Then the instructor made a hand sign with two energies intertwining- Oblivion and Death.
Suddenly he disappeared.
And then suddenly appeared before them in an intangible, deathlike state.
Aavesh felt a chill, such an Assassin would be unstoppable - No wonder the council feared the Mind Breakers.
The instructor then appeared on the stage while releasing the hand sign.
He finally seemed human now, otherwise people would swear they saw death's shadow.
Aavesh felt a bit of tingling in his mind,'Death's Shadow - Underworld Shadow, no wonder the move felt like the Grim Reaper's approach, how fitting.
"That was Underworld Shadow - You only saw me use 2 elemental Energies but I was using three, I guarded my Dantians with Samsara Energy because it can neutralize Life and Death Elements to certain degree that makes them non Lethal to the Human Body"
"But not all of you can comprehend Yama's blessing to recieve Samsara Element, so be very careful when you use Death Element - it will corrode you to the point where you will have a choice - yo be an undead or embrace death, that is all for the first Combat Technique ", the instructor explained with a hint of stern caution in his voice.
"I hope you remember the process carefully - blend into your surroundings, become silent as non existence, calm mind unrippled, you must never hesitate or show anxiety, remember the Hand sign to channel your Elemental Energies, those who have affinity with the Samsara Element - you may carefully envelope your Dantians with a layer"
"Minimal effort maximum effect, become death!"
Aavesh nodded at this.
"Second is Death Mark, This is to track your Target, and weaken them Psychologically- You are dealing with opponents who believe mental power as the absolute, imagine if you were to disturb their peace of mind- how weak would they be when they feel the inevitable fear of death!"
"But you must not let them track it back to you, that's why you use Oblivion and Death Elements along with your Mental Energy together to create a Mark"
The instructor snapped his fingers and an Astral chain bound grotesque being appeared in front of them.
It had an absurdly large brain, two Octopus like eyes, with the face of a Humanoid Octopus without the nose and the mouth was covered with Extremely long thick tentacles.
It was not muscular, rather oblong and slender- with purplish skin, four grotesque fingers on each hand.
It was an Illithid Mind Flayer- the main Enemies that could massacre Populations on large scale.
One Illithid was enough to Wreak havoc on a Planet, a Hundred could rule Star Systems and a Thousand - just a thousand could create the dreaded Elder Brain!
When an Elder Brain is created, it's not far off for the Apocalypse - An Illithid Empire! They could conquer the Galaxy with just one Empire!
Aavesh felt his blood unleash killing intent unconsciously, there was an Unspeakable hatred , the resentment of millions of generation of Mortals.
This Illithid may not be real but the Threat his blood felt was duly real.
The instructor made alternate handsign with silent mnemonics- a tiny Skull imprint formed before him and he flicked onto the Illithid before continuing,
"Any target will feel death looming, their souls will shiver and they will also feel that lack of control, this is the best Tracking mark that will be very difficult to detect unless your Target has access to the Opposing elements, but it will still be hard to remove something that is nothing "
*Roar
The imprint dissolved into the Captive Illithid who let out Agonizing Mental Screams as if it was filled with dread that death had suddenly arrived.
" Do you know why I say we need a squad to truly kill an Illithid? It's because most of the time in this Universe the Illithids do not have any kind of Tangible Weakness apart from the Oblivion Element and their Inherent Cultivation level, to kill an Illithid with just the Oblivion Element- you will need to sacrifice lives of Mortals, just to trap these things!"
"They can use their Terrifying mental Power to simply float and move faster than regular beings- their Dreaded attack- Mind Blast- It is so sophisticated that it almost instantaneously makes the Target Unconscious with a single hit and even mind Breakers are susceptible to this!"
"Don't think your natural immunity to their Mental Charm will protect you from their other Attacks, if you fail your stealth they can simply blink space to escape"
"Now you understand why the schools were created, what it means to truly kill Illithids- You can't truly kill them unless you don't lose your own"
"Illithids are Psychologically intuitive creatures - their mastery over Emotion Manipulation is on par with the Devil's, Any time you are distracted the Illithid will simply wrap its tentacles around you and suck your Brain for sustenance "
"Your Brains protect your soul and are obviously filled with Soul Energy- The Mindflayers crave that like delicacy, one person dying in a fight would mean a Fully recovered and Strengthened Mindflayer! Killing will be harder"
The instructor lectured as the Bound Mindflayer shuddered in fear, a strange sticky ooze seeping out of its slimy skin.
" The Next Combat Technique is called rending Blood- Mindflayers are not your only enemy, you will face Thralls who possess a similar regenerative ability with a mutated physique - they will tear you limb from limb apart from alerting the Mindflayer Master"
"Mindflayers also have an annoying undying physique, so if you want to immobilize them- this is an excellent method, but it is very very cruel to Non Illithids- Choose Wisely "
He demonstrated the Cultivation method of Rending Blood Combat Technique- A Black And Glowing Red Crimson Energy demonstrated from his Fingers.
The Instructor arrived before the Bound Illithid and raised a thumb to it's fearful eyes.
*Puchi
"AUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!"
He stabbed his thumb into the Illithid's eyes which then bellowed in surprised Agony, it's skin began to turn black slowly as it let out a muffled, paralyzed groan.
The instructor pulled his thumb out while accidentally removing the eyeball of the Illithid - he then flicked his fingers to throw the filth onto the Ground.
Aavesh could sense a mix of Death, Oblivion and Vital Essence in that black crimson glow- this could be used unarmed.
Just as the Method had been explained, a delicate use of Death, Oblivion and Vital Essence.
An almost Lethal move.
" It turns Illithids into paralyzed specimens you have shattered their very blood with this move, the Thrall may survive but non Illithids without regenerative power - it will be a very slow death"
The Illithid had turned limp but they could still feel the Bound mental rage.
"Now if you want to get Frisky and Risky with close combat, the Ghost King Fist can deeply wound almost any soul or wellspring of Mental Power! Looks how enraged this Illithid is- don't forget it killed a few hundred million sentient beings"
"No matter how much it screams after I demonstrate the punch don't ever hesitate to take the next step- Mercy is a luxury, don't spend it rashly"
With that Samsara, Death and Oblivion Element swirled around the Instructor's arm, reaching the fingertips.
Aavesh then saw the shadow of a misty skull form behind the instructor, and memorized all of the subtle movements demonstrated by the Instructor.
The instructor slowly exhaled as he emitted a terrible pressure and clenched his right hand into a fist and smashed into the Illithid's face.
*POW
*Unintelligible Horrific screams of the Illithid
The Illithid kept writhing out in Pain.
Slowly one could see the liveliness in it's eyes slowly die out until it became desolate.
" That is the Ghost King Fist- to hurt souls and Mental Energy Constructs,so if you ever get caught in an Illithid's Dream Trap you know what to use", The instructor explained.
"Now for the Ultimate Combat Technique- Yama's Descent, this is an ultimate move to slaughter your way out of a dangerous place, this but a part of the Genesis Breaking Technique- Wrath of Kaal Bhairava! But one needs to master the all of the five schools to even comprehend it's basic level"
"Now let's make thing's a bit more dangerous "
The instructor clapped his hands and a hundred more bound Illithids arrived out of nowhere before them.
*Snap
The Astral chains around the Illithids broke and the Illithids roared out as they became free- Aavesh felt - primal fear and bloody hatred stir in his heart.
He unconsciously stepped back the Illithids let out killing intent.
"Eyes on me cadets, I will only demonstrate it once", the instructor smiled as he placed himself between the cadets and the Illithids.
The instructor then smiled calmly at the incoming Illithids, before Black Flames Erupted from him.
*Boom
In Blur of a moment that Even Aavesh found hard to understand, ruptured Illithid heads flew around with Black greyish inky fluids spurting out.
The Blurryness stopped as the instructor returned to the stage with only hands covered with Black Flames.
The Shadow of a Burning yet Laughing skull showed briefly for a moment behind him.
His eyes still carried that otherworldly Power as he spoke," For this you must use your Mythic Power to communicate with Shadow of Death within you- but to gain that Shadow of Death- you must die once and come back from death, for that means Yama had deemed you worthy to let death Descend..."
" It can not be a resurrection - it should be a resuscitation, I will teach you the words and the Technique, Do not bring shame to it and don't use it unless you are powerful enough!"
The instructor demonstrated the Mnemonics and the different aspects of Yama's Descent to the Cadets.
"That is the Core Teaching of the Yama Arts School, Beware the Infernals- their hatred for you shall be never ending "
*BEEP
A bright light flashed and Aavesh returned back to the Simulation where Coral was waiting for him.
"How do you feel about the Techniques now?", Coral asked with a smile.
"It's fucking Terrifying and Awesome!", Aavesh spoke with admiration in his voice.
"So...?", Coral asked with an Eyebrow raised.
Aavesh then understood her gaze, he grinned, " I am ready for actual Training- Bring on the Illithids!"
Coral then smiled and clapped her hands, Countless Illithids of various types appeared out with killing intent locked onto Aavesh.
"Oh well, this should be fun"
The Training - Slaughter Behind.
