“I never loved you, and I never will. In fact, you’d be better off dead.”
This was my mate’s voice, but surely couldn’t have been said under her own free will. Was this had to be another hallucination? There was no way this was really Arisara.
As if my wolf was reading my mind, he interjected, “This really is your mate, Anu. This was always who she was capable of becoming. She was left alone in the hands of that demon, Prayut, for too many years.”
I didn’t believe my mate was capable of becoming this evil. Something wasn’t right.
“What?” I shot back. “So, you’re blaming me for her marriage to that beast?” I was furious now, just by own wolf’s accusation. “What else was I supposed to do? I had to flee the kingdom or else I’d have been killed.”
“There was nothing else you could have done, Anu. But, you can now, and that’s all that matters,” Muwang explained calmly.
