0.6 Fiery Waitress

"It's time to repay my favor, bud. I need you to go on a blind date for me," Trevor said to Jared.

Just at that moment, a loud sound was heard as a glass cup dropped on the floor, shattering its pieces all over the place.

"Sorry, I'm so sorry, sir," the worker apologized.

Jared turned back to see the worker pleading with the customer and a frown overtook his features.

Her back was faced towards him so he couldn't see her face but he couldn't pinpoint why she looked quite familiar.

"Jared? J? Are you even listening to me?" Trevor knocked on the table to get his friend's attention.

"Y-Yeah, I'm here," Jared turned back.

"You said what again?" he frowned, trying to recall their discussion.

"I need you to go on a blind date for me," Trevor said.

"What? Hell no, have you lost it?" Jared rejected.

"Come on, you need to help me out here. Dad is insisting I go on the stupid blind date with this girl so that he can sign off the deal with her father, but I have a date with my girl at the same time, if I even as much try to call it off, she will take my head off, so please I need you,"

"Then hire someone to do it, find an agency or something, you are rich. Why should I go on the date?"

"There's no more time, it's tomorrow night and also because I want you to try it out with this girl, I saw her picture and she is pretty hot, who knows? Maybe it might go well with you too," Trevor suggested.

"What? No way," Jared refused immediately.

"Are you insane?!" a loud yell was heard from the other side of the cafe.

"What? You're not with someone, are you?" Trevor asked.

"No, I'm not, it's just-"

"Hey, mind the way you speak to me, dude!"

Jared frowned when he heard that voice. It sounded so much like Ariana's hot-tempered voice but what would she be doing here.

"Then go on the date, J. For me," Trevor pressed.

"Okay, whatever, I will go," Jared stood up from the chair.

He knew Trevor wouldn't leave him alone until he agreed to it which was why he just said yes instead of being disturbed by him. Right now, he had more pressing issues to deal with.

"Hey, where are you going?"

Jared walked down the cafe as he moved towards the commotion of the yelling customer and the equally furious employee.

He narrowed his eyes as he watched the employee from behind. She was dressed in black leggings and a white t-shirt that reached her mid-thigh as she placed her apron on.

Her blonde hair was covered with the white cap she wore and by the way, she was gesticulating, one would know that she was very angry.

"Can't you see?! What do you have eyes for?!" the man yelled as his coffee poured on the floor.

"I'm sorry, sir but it was a mistake," Ariana bent over to pick the broken pieces.

"I don't pay for your silly mistakes! How did you even get the job? I bet you screwed the manager as that's the only thing you can do right," the man let out rudely.

Ariana gripped the tray in her hand and attempted to slam it right into the man's thick skull so he could get some sense knocked into his head but she held herself back.

I am working. I can't put the manager in trouble. She convinced herself and continued picking up the glasses.

"Hey, wipe my shoes, can't you see you spilled coffee all over me?" the man snapped at her.

Ariana straightened up as she dumped a napkin on the table.

"Here, wipe it yourself," she said.

"Why should I when you spilled it?!" the man gritted.

"I am a waitress, not a freaking shoe shiner. If you want to get your shoe cleaned, get out of here!" she lost all patience with the man.

"Are you insane?!" he yelled as he stood up from his seat while glaring down at her.

"You little rat! Your parents must have been so stupid to raise such a brat like you,"

"Hey, mind the way you speak to me, dude!" she hissed.

"What is going on here, Ariana?" the manager came rushing in and widened her eyes as she saw the mess on the floor.

"Why don't you ask your employee? Simply because I refused her advance, she spilled the coffee, trying to get my attention," the man scoffed.

Ariana tilted her head back as she laughed sarcastically.

"I bet you've never seen a mirror once in your life. Even you would run away from your own reflection," she let out with a shake of her blonde head.

"Ariana, mind the way you speak to the customer!" the managed scolded.

"He should mind the way he speaks to me first! Dirty scum!" she hissed.

"What did you just say?!" the man advanced towards her as he raised his hand, about to hit her.

Jared moved forward immediately when he saw the man raise his hand at the girl but what shocked him was when the girl caught hold of his wrist and twisted it so hard until the man was screaming out in pain.

Ariana slammed his face on the table as she used her knee to hold him down.

"It is despicable men like you who go around hitting girls just to satisfy your stupid ego," she hissed in his face.

"Ahh! Let me go!" the man yelled as his face got red from the pressure she used on him.

"Ariana, stop!" the managed blanched when she saw the violent movement of the girl.

She was nearly having a heart attack from the way this young lady acted. She had only started working here a week ago, but look at what she has done.

Jared stood affixed as he finally got a look on the employee's face to confirm it was Ariana.

He watched with pure awe as she fought off the man with her fiery personality and he was left mesmerized again.

"Let go of me!" the man kicked her from behind and Arian stumbled backward as her feet slipped from the coffee on the floor.
