Third in the World

When I was eight, my mom sold me to a man. Ever since then, my life had gone through drastic changes. Under the pressures of life, I started to take a path I could never return from. Back then, everyone called me the female top gun. Among us girls, no one else was able to receive such treatment. Many of my patrons had asked me why a nice young lady like myself decided to go down such a path. I always told them that life forced me to do what I do and they would call me pretentious behind my back. However, I really had no choice. After all, I didn’t want to die.

Back When I Was the Female Top Gun

Just as I was feeling annoyed, someone entered the house. I thought that my mother had returned. After all, she was the only one with the keys. However, to my surprise, the person who came was my aunt.

"Shen Ling, your mother asked me to give this to you," my aunt said to me with a smile.

"Auntie, why are you here? Where's my mom?" I asked. I didn't want my mom to come over. I just wanted to ask what I should do with all the things here.

"Why are you looking for your mother? She's lecturing someone up there."

"I just wonder where these things should be placed?" I explained to my aunt.

"Oh, you actually treat these things as treasures? These are all left behind by the previous owner. No one lived here before, so we left them here. You can just throw them away."

My aunt looked at me with a smile. I wondered why this aunt kept smiling, but I didn't ask.
