Hopefully He is Fine

At the Brown family's manor, Jack's coffin was still on the lawn.

Xavier's body had been covered with a white cloth.

It was an incomplete body without his head.

The Brown family's members knelt on the ground.

"You bunch of losers! How did you just stand there and do nothing while that man barged into the manor and killed Mr. Brown? And you even let him walk away freely! You should have gone down the grave with Mr. Brown!"

A woman whose expression was extremely sinister and cold stood before the crowd.

The people kneeling on the ground shivered and dared not speak a single word.

They were aware of how terrifying Ms. Brown was.

She was the eldest lady of the Brown family, Emily Brown.

She was Xavier's only daughter.

Despite looking pretty and frail, she was a devilish woman filled with wickedness.

She was the culprit who had planned the extermination of the Ferrell family.

Just then, a helicopter touched down.

A group of fully-armed soldiers alighted from the helicopter.

The leading officer went up to Xavier's corpse and knelt on the ground.

"Father, I'm sorry that I came late! I promise that I'll take revenge for you!"

After Bobby finished speaking, he bowed three times and stood up.

"Bobby," Emily called him.

Bobby nodded. "Have you found out the person who did this?"

"No. The man is a very careful person, and he wore a mask. But he said something."

"What did he say?"

"He said it's time to pay back the lives of the 36 Ferrell family members from ten years ago!"

"Could he be a survivor of the Ferrell family?"

Bobby frowned. The next moment, he shook his head. "That's impossible. We've repeatedly confirmed that there are no survivors left behind, right?"

"Even if it's not done by the a direct remnant of the Ferrell family, the person could be related to the Ferrells."

Emily narrowed her eyes. "Don't forget that someone had secretly collected the Ferrell family's bodies and built tombs for them. Even if the person is not one of the Ferrell family, he must have a very close relationship with the Ferrells."

"Got it. I'll go to Joah City now. I'll leave the household affairs to you, Harold, and Bradley. A simple funeral for Father will do. Don't act recklessly and wait for me to come home."

"I'll leave my men for you, just in case."

After Bobby finished speaking, he turned around and boarded the helicopter, then flew to Joah City.

He did not want to be careless in handling the case involving the remnant of the Ferrell family.

"Did you hear it? Something happened to the Brown family yesterday night!"

"I've already heard of it. I was there last night. It was so bloody, and I was so frightened that I couldn't fall asleep the entire night."

"I wonder who had the audacity to lay a hand on the Brown family. And he even did it at the former master's 80th grand birthday banquet."

"It could be one of the Ferrell family. As soon as the Ferrell family was destroyed, the greatest four families rose. There's no doubt about it."

"Back then, the Ferrell family stood tall. Unlike the greatest four families, they forced us into a corner."

"It looks like Ipudo City is going to undergo a drastic transformation soon!"

Ten years ago, the extermination of the Ferrell family had remained a mystery in the eyes of the public.

However, it was not a secret among the greatest families in Ipudo City.

After the fall of the Ferrell families, the greatest four families grew and became stronger.

It was obvious that the extermination of the Ferrell family was related to the four greatest families.

Moreover, Jack had said that he had come to avenge for the Ferrell family's slaughter that had happened a decade ago.

The name of the Ferrell family, which had been long forgotten ten years ago, was once again travelling by word among the public.

However, Jack ignored all this.

After he woke up in the morning and had breakfast with Bosco, he went to pick up Lily.

Today was a very important day.

Although he did not mind if the Young family acknowledged him as their son-in-law or otherwise, Lily took the matter seriously. As such, he was concerned about it.

"Dear, I've contacted my high school friend. He is working as a manager in Skyline Group. He said he's willing to lend me a helping hand. I believe we could get the Skyline Group contract order today." Lily said happily.

This was the outcome of her all-night effort.

"Good."

Jack smiled. He was content as long as Lily was happy.

At Skyline Group, Lily called Brandon Cooper. "Brandon, I've reached the main hall.

"Okay, I'll wait for you in the hall."

After Lily hung up, she turned to Jack, "Dear, he is my high school friend. I don't have any relationship with him."

"Of course I trust you."

Jack smiled and caressed Lily. His eyes were filled with adoration as he looked at her.

"We're in public now…"

Lily's face instantly flushed. She looked down and dared not meet his eyes.

"We'll continue when we get back home. There'll be fewer people by then," Jack smiled as he said.

"I… I don't want to talk to you anymore…"

Lily turned her head around, pretending to ignore Jack.

Just then, Brandon was walking toward them and was greeted by such a sight.

'Darn it! How did this ugly woman become so beautiful?'

Brandon had no intention to entertain Lily, whom he had assumed was an ugly woman. But, as soon as he saw Lily had regained her beauty and was no longer crippled, an idea came to him, and he knew that he had to make this woman his.

"As I've mentioned before, an ugly duckling would soon turn into a swan. Look at you, you're more than a swan now!"

Brandon walked over to them and kept sizing Lily up.

"Nice to meet you, Brandon. Let me introduce my husband to you, he's…"

"I know him. He's the useless son-in-law of the Young family. Most of us in Ipudo City are already aware of his presence. I'm sorry, I'm more of a straightforward person."

Brandon looked at Jack mockingly.

"Brandon, I truly appreciate your help. But please show some respect to my husband." Lily stared at Brandon solemnly.

"I'm sorry. I'm just being straightforward. Come, let me treat you to a meal as a token of my apology."

As Brandon was speaking, he pulled Lily's hand.

"There's no need for a meal. We've eaten our breakfast this morning."

Jack stood in front of Lily.

"Brandon, bring me to Mr. Woolf. Once I get the contract order, I'll certainly treat you to a meal."

Lily appeared to be slightly anxious. They had only one day to get the contract order.

If they failed to get the contract order, Jack would be kicked out of the Young family.

"You want to meet with Mr. Woolf, huh?"

Brandon smirked, "Who are you to meet him? Even I have difficulty making an appointment with him."

"Didn't you say you're taking me to see Mr. Woolf?" Lily looked at Brandon in surprise.

"I only said that to make you feel more at ease. How dare you look for Mr. Woolf for a contract worth five million dollars only."

Brandon sized up Lily unscrupulously. "But if you accompany me for a day, I'll assure you that tomorrow…"

Bam!

Before Brandon finished speaking, he had been sent flying.

"You scum, stop coveting my wife!"

Jack's gaze was as cold as ice.

If not for the fact that Lily was beside him, he would have kicked the trash to death.

"Security guards! Are you dead?! Arrest him!"

Brandon covered his stomach. He held back his pain as he shouted angrily.

When the security guards heard Brandon's scream, they quickly came over and surrounded Jack.

"What are you doing?!"

A fat man came out of the elevator and shouted disgruntledly.

"Mr. Woolf!"

"Hi, Mr. Woolf."

Everyone greeted him.

Jonny nodded. After that, he turned to the person who had made the fuss.

When he saw it was Jack, his knees became weak, and he almost knelt on the ground.

"It's over. These people are unlucky. They shouldn't cause trouble in this place."

"They are very unlucky to have run into Mr. Woolf. Hopefully, they'll be fine."

"They shouldn't act so recklessly!"

Although Johnny was just a businessman, many great families knew him well and they had warned their members that it would have been better to offend the four greatest families rather than Johnny.

If one committed a minor offense against the four greatest families, the issue could be resolved by spending some money and effort.

But if they offended Johnny, they would die…

Brandon was thrilled.

'You struck me and offended Mr. Woolf. Prepare to meet your destiny!"

"Y-Y-You must be Lily Young, right?"
