Licking X Our X Wounds

"Oh you are up huh?" looking over at Gon I frowned a bit, I figured whatever would happen within the next little while would be quite annoying. Though, It was something I had to do, I really don't need him running straight for the Spiders to get himself killed.

"...yeah, what happened my memory is a bit fuzzy…" looking me in the eye, he had a slightly bitter look on his face as if he subconsciously knew what happened. Though, a second later that confusion changed to surprise before morphing into a burst of denial and anger.

"Huh, looks like he remembered well enough… Oi Gon, calm down for a moment, and don't freak out too much. Let's take things one step at a time, I still haven't been able to give you an in-depth check-up because I have been tending to Magenta's wounds so don't move around too much." Interjecting, Leorio began to calm down Gon as he finished squaring away all of his medical supplies in his suitcase for the moment. Swiveling around in the room's desk chair, he fully faced Gon as the boy began to grip the blankets to the point his knuckles were as white as the sheets.

"...I couldn't do anything to stop them from getting Killua! So how am I supposed to stay calm, he could easily be dead right now and it's all my fault! If I didn't drag him around to raise the money we wouldn't have ever tailed those people… all over a video game!" Going through nearly all five of the Kubler-Ross stages at a speed I'd never thought possible, he began to bawl his eyes out in some sort of mixture of sadness and anger.

*Sigh* "Killua most likely is not dead… And everything you just said is wrong on so many levels!" deciding to rip the band-aid off in one fell swoop, I ended up yelling at him seeing that he wasn't initially paying attention to me. When I finally got his attention he looked at me with no small amount of suspicion and confusion.

"Look, it's not that YOU couldn't do anything it's that WE couldn't do anything… and before you try and say that I was able to fight off the sword guy, I really couldn't" lifting my stump up for him to plainly see, which resulted in him recoiling in shock as he began to sputter out numerous questions about my condition.

"Eh… don't worry about it, the hand can probably be reattached later as it's on ice so don't disturb the rooms mini fridge K? And the reason for you not being able to help out last night is that you are still in training and a bad match up…" looking at him for a moment, I realized he was being stubborn and not accepting my explanation.

*Sigh* " Seriously, you would need to have a good understanding of advanced Nen techniques or a suitable Hatsu to fight a weapon user close quarters with your fists… not to mention a Nen master with combat experience and trained in that weapon. I had to trade my hand to get us out of there. " Using my good hand to prop up my head as I sat on the edge of the bed as I continued to beat him over the head with the fact that we were outmatched and outclassed last night.

"...ok, and Killua?" begrudgingly moving on to the next topic before switching his tune as he looked on eager in anticipation.

"Well this is mostly speculation… but when we were in the building with those two Troupe members, one of them said to the others: 'no need to keep these two alive, Machi and Pakunoda got the other one.' from that we can deduce they only needed one captive which is Killua. They seem to be hunting for information of some sort and Killua as a Zolduyck should be able to navigate that situation well enough." Sitting up as I walked over to the mini fridge, I ignored my own advice as I popped open the fridge to be greeted with the sight of my severed hand. It was now cleaned up and bandaged to preserve it, ignoring it though I reached in and grabbed a lime soda that was stocked inside.

*crack* *fizz* " Also the bit at the end 'Dying over a video game,' Is pretty inaccurate. I mean most people die while playing the game… Oh, and it's a pretty damn good game as well, perfectly acceptable to die for if you ask me. Anyways, I am going to go hunt down Kurapika I want you two to rest up here… toodles!" opening the doorway and stepping outside before leaning in, I gave one last wave with my stump before softly closing the door behind me.

*Slam* It's just that before I could get to the elevator to go down to the lobby the door to our room slammed open as Gon and Leorio bolted out the door. Or tried to, they were shoulder to shoulder and squeezing their way out the door frame in sync.

"BASTARD! LIKE HELL YOU ARE GOING ANYWHERE IN THAT CONDITION, NEVER MIND LEAVING US BEHIND!!!" Suitcase in hand, he eventually freed himself from the door as he staggered forward hitting the wall. Peeling himself away, he bolted down the hallway as he followed me into the elevator all the while screaming my ears off.

"Magenta! I won't allow you to leave me behind." Slinging his backpack over his shoulder as he ran past me into the elevator. Somehow, both of them were displaying an exorbitant amount of energy that was contrary to the amount of rest we got.

'Well, I suppose Gon got some rest, and even I am up and about. Though that's probably just the pain… it's like a small buzz.' shaking my head in disbelief as I looked at the two while taking a drink of my soda for a moment.

"Watch your voices, everyone is staring at us…" swallowing my drink, I lectured the two using the omnipresent and super weapon that was social conventions. Smiling at the two giving embarrassed apologies to the few people in the hallway and elevator before I hit the button of the elevator take us to the lobby.
