Master of Fiction

"Check the data. I want to see who stole it!"

Mattis' cold voice echoed through the hall. The volume of his voice was so loud that even those with earphones could hear it.

The technicians began typing on their keyboards, and the head personnel entered the password, causing a large amount of data to appear.

It was still the young man who had been observing the 'Moon Eye'. Sweat dripped from his forehead, and his fingers trembled as he typed on the keyboard.

"Commander... the 'Moon Eye' has been stationary above us. It hasn't moved."

"Hasn't moved?" Mattis nodded, "Are you all blind? Can't even call other satellites to find it, and now you're telling me it hasn't moved?!"

"Rubbish!"

The head personnel also stepped in. The more he saw this, the more surprised he was.

Clearly, the 'Moon Eye' had been hacked, but there was no trace of it. If everyone didn't have that memory, anyone would doubt the event's authenticity...

The head personnel gritted his teeth and began reviewing domestic application records and those from other countries that had been "accidentally received."

The images displayed on the screen, the first row, the second person, were General Brooks.

"What does this mean? Suspects? Don't tell me that the hackers are those big capitalists. Or high-ranking military officials, scientists, and the like."

"Minister, we still can't determine the hacker's methods, and only these people are among those who applied for military satellites before."

The head personnel said thoughtfully, "Each of them wields significant power. They wouldn't be happy if their request for military satellites was denied, so..."

"Pfft~" Mattis sneered, "They would hold a grudge over something like this? They'd be angry all day and drop dead."

"And..." Mattis stood up, his finger resting against the head personnel's shoulder, "Don't make excuses for your own mistakes. Instead of thinking about who should take the blame, think about how you will explain this to the President tomorrow morning!"

After speaking, Mattis walked toward the door, and the head personnel hurriedly followed, "By the way, why wasn't General Brooks' request approved?"

The head personnel immediately gave a signal, and the technicians next to him immediately understood.

The central screen immediately displayed Brooks' application reasons and the reasons for rejection.

Mattis turned around, touched the ring on his middle finger with his hand, and squinted his eyes like a predatory wolf.

"Looking for Tony Stark? Why wasn't it approved?"

The head personnel started sweating profusely, "Minister, this part is handled by other officials. I'm only responsible for recording."

Mattis nodded, "I'll pay a visit to those officials later. Remember to call up a satellite and provide it to General Brooks. It must be hard for him to be out in the desert."

"Alright, Minister, but I need your signature for this."

Mattis glanced at him, "What are you waiting for then?"

"Yes, I'll go print it right away!" the head personnel hurriedly said.

Mattis raised his wrist and checked the time, "You have two hours. Tune the satellite for General Brooks. Also, write down the excuse you're preparing to use on the President."

"This..." The head personnel looked embarrassed; calling up military satellites was one thing. After all, the military big shots were here. It only took his signature to do it. However, crafting an excuse to "mislead" the President...

Mattis gave him a cold look.

The head personnel shivered, "Rest assured, Minister. In two hours, I'll personally deliver it to your office!"

Mattis patted his shoulder and raised an eyebrow, "I hope you can get it done."

After saying that, he left without any hesitation. The head personnel watched the big shot disappear around the corner of the corridor, then slumped down into a chair.

Looking around, he furrowed his brow, a fierce expression on his face, "What are you all looking at? Have you found the hacker? Have you found the data from the 'Moon Eye'? Do you still want your bonuses?!"

His voice escalated from one wave to the next, the technicians hurriedly lowering their heads.

Facing their computer screens, they heard a series of rapid typing sounds.

There was no choice, and power crushed people. They also secretly muttered that he acted like a grandson when the Minister was present, but now...

After the head personnel rested for a while and finished his coffee, he tried to regain his composure and began tapping on the keyboard.

Simultaneously, he started reviewing the information about General Brooks.

Seeing it made him jump in shock!

It turned out Minister Mattis had served under General Brooks before!

Moreover, he had even been General Brooks' personal bodyguard!

My goodness, the head personnel's forehead was covered in cold sweat. Luckily, he didn't have much control over satellite deployments.

So, the person didn't come to him a few days ago and instead found another official to block General Brooks' satellite request.

A wry smile appeared on the head personnel's lips. He wasn't the unluckiest one after all. One could completely imagine how that guy looked when facing Minister Mattis.

It must have been quite interesting.

Glancing at the time, the head personnel opened a document and let his imagination run wild.

"...Damn it! How the hell do I write this thing?"

... After staying up all night, Mattis and the head personnel appeared in the President's office. The President was earnestly reading the report.

However, the more he read, the more confused his expression became. Mattis looked around at the decorations in the office while the head personnel's sweat kept pouring down as he stared at his own shoes.

The document was set down, the President crossed his hands, glanced at the two, and nodded calmly, "Very good. Which one of you gentlemen can tell me who wrote this report?"

"Mr. President... it's me."

"Oh?" The African-American President raised an eyebrow, looking at him seriously, "Honestly, I think you're better suited to write or maybe draw comics."

"Take a look at what's written here. Aliens using the 'Moon Eye' to study Earthlings?"

"Oh my goodness, why didn't those aliens just abduct you to enhance their advanced knowledge in the field of anatomy?"

"This... I... Mr. President... but the fact is..."

"Stop, stop, stop. Take your report and make a left out of here. If you need it, I can connect you with a publishing house. I believe they'll consider this to be a science fiction more successful than 'Harry Potter'!"

"Mr President, 'Harry Potter' is fantasy," Mattis kindly reminded him.

"Oh~" The President raised an eyebrow, "What's the difference? You're standing before a master of fantasy! Look at what's written in this report! Mattis, I don't believe you haven't read it."

"Actually, I really haven't, Mr. President."

The President nodded, "Very well. It's all pretty good. No bonuses this year! The damn bunch! And that blasted subsidy! If I take this report to Congress, I'm sure those vampires will strip you of a layer of skin!"

"Why are you still standing here? Get out! All of you, get out!"
