Spear II

"Master?" The Red Queen said with a mischievous smile, "Would you like to try the power of the heavy spear?"

She casually swung the long spear, using the extreme capabilities of the second form, and the sonic booms resounded continuously.

The built-in camera in the machine struggled to capture images, often showing only a black blur.

"Buzz!~"

The long spear quivered slightly in the air, causing severe disturbances in its vicinity.

Kurumi raised an eyebrow, "Find a suitable spot; I'd like to see the power of this spear as well."

The projection screen flickered continuously. "Master, the machine will start auto-piloting and is expected to reach the designated area in five minutes."

"Crackle!~"

A grating sound, teeth-clenching, as the long spear was inserted into the "wings" on the back.

The steel wing bones condensed slightly in the centre, and 'Nightmare' broke the sound barrier in an instant, heading towards the location set by the Red Queen.

The sea was sliced apart by 'Nightmare's' rapid speed, sending waves splashing on both sides. The machine's speed showed no signs of slowing down, and it even seemed accelerating.

At this moment, even with Kurumi's enhanced vision, everything up close appeared to be a blur. Normally, one could enjoy the view of a bridge for a while, but 'Nightmare' swept past it in an instant!

"Hiss!—"

The machine decelerated, tilting its back backwards, causing the water ahead to "sink" suddenly and ripple outward continuously.

Looking back, the sea that had been split into two formed white ribbons, taking a long time to settle.

Surveying the surroundings, there was only one abandoned small island. As soon as Kurumi saw it, the projection screen began to zoom in autonomously, marking information.

"It looks like it's not much different from 'Mark'." Kurumi chuckled at the sight, wanting to tease the Red Queen.

As expected, whenever Stark was mentioned, the little girl's temper flared up like a powder keg, ready to explode with a spark.

"Master! This information is more detailed than what they have! And the cameras use the most advanced technology! It's far superior to Stark's 'Mark'."

"Is that so?" Kurumi neither agreed nor disagreed, shrugged, and didn't even glance at the Red Queen, clearly showing a lack of sincerity in her apology.

The Red Queen puffed up her cheeks; she had only recently started developing emotions and became increasingly dependent on her master.

Seeing that Kurumi wasn't paying attention to her, the little girl finally turned her head and let out a "hmph" before giving up.

What made Kurumi both amused and exasperated was that the sound still came from within the machine, and its volume was so loud that an ordinary person here would probably have their eardrums shattered.

Kurumi controlled 'Nightmare' to land on the deserted island, looked around, and said, "Is this the place?"

"Hmph!"

She smirked, "Then, let's begin."

Upon hearing this, the Red Queen turned her head, "You can also attack the surrounding waters; satellite surveillance has been blocked. Master, feel free to unleash your powers."

"Hehe, Red Queen, you're amazing."

"Hmph!"

In a daze, Kurumi saw the Red Queen raise her nose, her expression no different from that of a proud, spoiled girl who had received praise.

'Nightmare' hovered a hundred meters above the deserted island, and Kurumi's eyes narrowed as her spiritual energy began to boil within her!

She took a deep breath, suppressing the boiling energy within her. Kurumi then drew the heavy spear from her back and casually twirled it in her hand. Even though it was connected through neural interfaces, she could still feel its weight.

Without the support of spiritual energy, even the current Kurumi wouldn't be able to hold this weapon for long using just physical strength.

She descended near a large rock and forcefully swung the heavy spear in her hand!

"Boom! Bang!—"

The heavy spear directly shattered the massive rock! The explosion came after the sonic boom.

Tiny white and grey dust from the shattered rock tried to settle on the heavy spear but were repelled by a thin film, floating away with the airflow onto the deserted island.

Some rock fragments fell into the cracks of nearby stones with a clattering sound.

Kurumi raised an eyebrow. This attack was purely based on brute force; it should be quite easy to send that detestable guy flying with such power.

Kurumi already had a rough estimate of how powerful she had become.

"Now, let's test the magic inscriptions engraved on top."

The Red Queen's childish voice echoed in Kurumi's ears, and the delicate patterns on the heavy spear seemed to respond, faintly glowing and softly humming.

"It seems like you've mastered the formations I gave you?"

"Although I can't simulate some large-scale formations, I can easily carve small-scale inscriptions and other simple formations using special items."

"Special items? What are those?"

"They are created based on human spiritual power, using sound wave fluctuations to achieve the effects of spiritual inscriptions."

Kurumi pinched her smooth chin, "Isn't that just a high-quality imitation?"

"Don't underestimate it!" The Red Queen said thoughtfully, "Master, human spiritual power can sometimes weaken, but the fluctuations we imitate are different. As long as the calculations are sufficient and the components are new, we can carve out magic inscriptions perfectly."

Pausing momentarily, the Red Queen crossed her arms, looking proud, "Even those master inscriptionists can't match these high-quality imitations when it comes to carving magic inscriptions."

"Oh?" 'Nightmare' spun the long spear in her hand a few times, and the mighty wind was blocked by a thin barrier, "Indeed, it's quite impressive; an excellent combat weapon."

At this point, the Red Queen's face fell, and she sounded somewhat disheartened, "In terms of military readiness, mobilising millions of armed forces is undoubtedly faster and more efficient using this method. But it can only be used as an 'excellent combat weapon.'"

"Some say that these weapons lack spirituality and can never truly be inscribed with the power to bond with their master. That's why those master inscriptionists are so popular."

Kurumi glanced at the Red Queen and quickly flew to the sky above the deserted island. "You're overthinking. Are you saying machines can't create spirituality and a bond like that? If the 'Beta' class can't, it doesn't mean the 'Gamma' class can't either."

The Red Queen's eyes lit up, "Right, why didn't I think of that?"

As her spiritual energy surged, it transformed into magic power and flowed into the heavy spear. Magic inscriptions on it began to light up one by one, but they gave off a subtle and chilling feeling.

Kurumi, ready to throw it at any moment, fixed her gaze on a distant target, "It's just a weapon, Red Queen; don't overthink it. Artificial intelligence excels in explosive power, doesn't it?"

Before the Red Queen could reply, Kurumi forcefully hurled the heavy spear toward the ground!

The heavy spear emitted a faint cold light in the moonlight, reflecting on 'Nightmare.'
