Little Devil

"In the afternoon, the sunlight gently crept through the narrow opening in the curtains, casting a warm glow over the steaming cup of red tea.

A delicate hand lifted the cup and brought it to the lips of a charming girl with twin ponytails. She took a sip, and her big eyes involuntarily squinted.

Looking outside, the lazy atmosphere seemed to make even the sunlight lethargic.

These past few days had been quite comfortable for Kurumi, with nothing to disturb her, not even many agents outside.

She stretched lazily in her chair, her slender legs wrapped in black stockings, and her cute bunny slippers left abandoned on the wooden floor.

The black stockings on her petite feet were tantalising, and from a lower perspective, they seemed to reveal the secrets beneath her skirt.

Such days were impossible to enjoy in the original God's Space. Even if you had plenty of time, there was always a certain amount of pressure, and you couldn't completely relax.

In God's Space, if you relax too much, you might be the next reincarnation to die.

Every level had its own competition, and everyone was striving to climb higher. Because even in the lower levels of this place, you would eventually be eliminated.

And no one wanted to experience elimination with their own life.

Just as Kurumi hugged her legs with both hands and her little head leaned gently to one side, the holographic projection of Red Queen suddenly appeared on the desktop.

She glanced at her slumbering owner and blinked her big eyes, her face filled with indecision, unsure if she should wake her up.

With a serious expression on her small face, imitating her owner, she pinched her chin with her small hand, pondered for a moment, and finally decided to wait until her owner woke up to tell her.

Red Queen lightly lifted the hem of her dress, slightly bowed to Kurumi, and was about to return to the cloud computing base when Kurumi slowly opened her eyes.

Her half-opened eyes held a hint of amorousness, and this appearance of Kurumi could easily intoxicate anyone, making them deeply immersed and unable to extricate themselves.

Her cherry lips parted slightly, and she yawned and mumbled, "Little Red Queen, is there something you want to tell me?"

Red Queen, whose image was about to dissipate, solidified again, quickly projecting data in the air.

"Master, do you remember the 'hospital' of S.H.I.E.L.D. the other day?"

"The hospital?" Kurumi blinked her eyes, puzzled. "You mean S.H.I.E.L.D.'s research facility there?"

"Yes, Master."

Kurumi put back on her bunny slippers and gently pulled her long hair around her neck.

After a while, she said, "I know S.H.I.E.L.D. is tight on funds, but I didn't expect them to build a research facility outside."

Red Queen tugged at her small mouth as if she couldn't keep up with her owner's train of thought.

"Master, it exploded!"

"Exploded?" Kurumi was momentarily stunned, then smiled. "It's a laboratory; explosions happen. Besides, it must be interesting with so many labs gathered together."

Seeing Red Queen's somewhat helpless little face, Kurumi became interested. "Do you have any videos or something? Let me see."

The data projections in the air disappeared instantly, replaced by a building surrounded by flames.

Kurumi had a rather deep impression of it. After all, she was quite familiar with the helipad on top.

She touched her chin; the video was not clear, taken by passersby, and Red Queen also collected cameras.

Kurumi looked at this scene with interest. If her memory served her right, the movie had no such scene.

Of course, that was a movie, and not everything could be depicted.

"Did you find out what happened?" Kurumi asked.

Red Queen nodded in response and displayed the information in the middle. Knowing that Kurumi liked to view things in a particular order, she categorised them first.

Kurumi looked at the projected data and murmured, "Did the fire start because of a blocked sewer pipe?"

Her eyes then turned to Red Queen, and she said, "Meow meow meow?"

Red Queen flew onto the "screen" and cleared her throat, "Master, the materials in front are some integrated news reports, and none of them are likely to be true. Otherwise, they would have been warned and blocked long ago."

Kurumi raised an eyebrow at Red Queen's silly smile and sighed.

She suddenly pulled Red Queen down and held her in her hand, gently teasing her while Red Queen mumbled incoherently.

Amid Red Queen's "mmm" and "ahh," Kurumi began scrutinising the information.

After all, combined with the confidential document from a few days ago, she could confirm that Nick Fury had set his sights on the three beneficiaries of the virus.

And unfortunately, she was one of those "beneficiaries."

Taking a sip of her tea, which had turned slightly cold, she frowned slightly, and a half-body portrait appeared in front of her.

"Isn't this the kid who 'awakened'? I remember he escaped, didn't he?"

Red Queen took the opportunity to escape Kurumi's "clutches," rubbed her flushed cheeks, and complained almost reproachfully, "I've been tracking his whereabouts all along, but you didn't show any interest, so our people didn't touch him."

"He was hiding quite well in a small apartment in New York, taking advantage of the 'darkness under the lamp,' deceiving other organisations. But I don't know what got into him a few days ago; he specifically went out for a stroll for two hours. Even though he wore a hood, S.H. I.E.L.D still detected him."

"In simple terms, did S.H.I.E.L.D. capture this kid?" Kurumi asked in a strange tone.

Red Queen continued to cover her blushing face with her small hand, and from the projection screen, you could still clearly see the area she had pinched turning red.

She mumbled incoherently, "According to the information I found in S.H.I.E.L.D., this idiot was taken down by a 'one-shot kill' tranquilliser."

Kurumi reached out and froze as she was about to take the handle of her cup. Her tone was somewhat unnatural as she asked, "A one-shot kill? How much did S.H.I.E.L.D. use?"

Red Queen pursed her lips, indifferent, "It was done by that fool rookie agent, Harris. You've played pranks on his team before, and he was the unluckiest one."

Red Queen didn't notice Kurumi's strange expression and continued, "During the week he was 'assigned to protect you,' he submitted 67 transfer applications to his superiors and even one resignation."

"Emmmm," Kurumi couldn't help but comment, "Am I really that terrifying? He was caught in a mouse trap five or six times and bullied by the big dog next door seven or eight times, right?"

Red Queen looked at Kurumi's eyes, nose, and mouth, and when Kurumi stared at her, she hummed a little tune and looked to the side as if she knew nothing about these things.

Kurumi narrowed her eyes. A glint of light flashed in her wine-red pupils, and she suddenly grabbed Red Queen!

"
