Endure: The Might of Perseverance

Their weapons gone heavy to carry and their legs feel worn out. The cage encloses them to survive Endure's power. Standing in the shallow water that goes to the knees, makes their movements even more sluggish. Nikita thought of freezing the whole waters so they can stand above and reduce some handicap, but they know it's going to be hard to walk or run on ice.

"We need to act now!" She exclaimed in absolute dread, and the whole team decided to freeze it. Jae made Gravel, the stone shield, to enlarge - big enough to carry them four. As the shield carries them like a boat, Nikita quickly places the blade of her sword, for they're already sinking due to the shield's own weight, to the water and use quite a lot of her existence just to completely freeze it.

Endure, who's feet are pinned frozen, breaks the ice from it was standing by springing from the ground. It plowed the ice from where it runs through, attempting to go near the humans' locus. Right when it was about to reach them, it suddenly stopped to talk and inclined its body to face the intruders, its face right in front of them saying,

"Retribution will bestow upon who dares to seek egress."

Nikita, with all her strength, pinned her sword to the ice ground to create a wide and sky-scraping wall of ice to divide the place for the meantime. Taking a lot of her existence away.

Sue's energy gun is too massive to carry by a girl with just the usual human strength, feeling useless and helpless, she decided to run and drag her and her weapon to the boundary between the inside and the outside. While Jae who's shield can enlarge and retract, made his shield as small as he can, like an armguard. Sven's twin needles are as long as a typical sword, but is way more lighter than it, so he can still pick them up like he always do.

"I let Enigma devour me to be this powerful. Do you really think you can extract my core?" Endure stated, wanting the team to just give up.

"You all feel weak right inside of my cage. Only perseverance is the thing you possess against me."

Panting from exhaustion, Nikita tells Sven and Jae that they all need to figure out where its core is located. Any more wasted energy will only bring them closer to death. Jae feels like Endure is going to break the wall between them, so they all run to a distance. The raging defiled lord smashed the ice wall, debris were sent flying to the air. With the little strength they have, they tried their best to avoid and evade the falling blocks. Blaze coursed throughout Endure's body, emmiting rioting fire all over the place. The fire touched their skin, burning like the sun during a very hot summer day. Some pieces of their clothes caught on fire and got burned.

"I pity you humans. An overpowering desire can make you strong, but you're too principled to accept them. Let your ego devour you, and you will know how strong you really are." Added Endure.

"Own ego? What is it saying?" Jae asked, but no one can answer.
