Chapter 2

Why did he say all that to me? Also, his pheromones were so sweet they made me dizzy for a little bit. I need to focus in class and stop thinking about this; otherwise, I will get a headache. I just hope he forgets about the cafe after school then I don't have to think about it again. Come on, brain shut up already and just focus, for fuck sake.

"Dearil earth to Dearil," Kathrine said as she waved her hand over my face.

But if we do meet, I have to see him, and I don't know if my brain will last that long. It might explode. At least I don't have to deal with all this shit that's going on in my head and can have peace and quiet just how I like it.

"Jesus christ Dearil!" yelled Kathrine as she punched me in the harm.

"Ouch, what the hell!" I yelled as I looked at Kathrine as I rubbed my arm, "what gives?"

"Well, you're being weird, and I've been calling you for a good five minutes. Also, the class has been done for at least ten minutes," murmured Kathrine as she looked around the classroom, "Ready to go home?"

"Oh ya, let's go. Sorry was just spacing out for no reason. Everything is good," I smiled, hoping she would not ask any questions.

"It's all good; let's get the hell out of here," laughed Kathrine as we walked out of the classroom.

After passing lockers, classrooms, teachers, and students, we finally got to the school entrance. I'm not joking. This school is way too big even though there are only 425 students, half of the average amount of 850 students that most schools have. There are two high schools here, and they both are significant. So happy that it's the weekend finally, rest and fun hopefully.

"So what are we going to do this weekend," smiled Kathrine as she waved at Selena when she found her outside.

"Don't know yet," I murmured as I looked around outside, trying to find Riden hoping not to see him.

"Oh, talking about this weekend? Tomorrow I have planes with Kathrine," smiled Selena when she got to us and locked arms with Kathrine.

"Okay, we can go to the arcade and a movie on Sunday?" I smiled as I looked at both of them being love doves again.

"Let's do it," Kathrine laughed, still making googly eyes at Salena.

When we got to the school gate, I looked around, hoping my wish would come true because I did not see him, but right when I stopped looking, someone came up behind me and wrapped their arm around my neck. Before I looked to see who it was, I started to smell sweet licorice.

"Hey girls and tiny tater tot," smiled Riden as his voice was more profound than before.

"Oh Riden, why are you here," Salena said with curiosity in her tone, "I did not know you know Dearil."

"Ya, we have planes today," Riden laughed, making him look like a happy dog that just found his master.

"That works out. I was about to talk My girlfriend into going get food and did not what Dearil to feel left out. Perfect timing Riden," Laughed Selena as she moved Kathrine with her, "See you Friday, Dearil, have fun.

"Ready to get going?" Riden said as he looked at me, still having his arm around my neck.

"Yes, also, you can let go of my neck," I murmured. I looked around, hoping no one was watching.

"Sorry, I was just excited to be next to you, is all," smiled Riden as he movies his arm away.

"It's fine, let's go to the cafe. I'm hungry," I lied like hell. It's okay. It scared me, and his damn scent is so intoxicating that I just what to smell him and not let go.

"Okay, my driver will talk us to the cafe," Riden said as he pointed at a black SUV that was parked next to the school sign.

"Oh, okay," I murmured. Riden would have a personal driver that would talk him to school. Even though my mother is wealthy, I don't have a private driver.

When we got to the SUV, a man came out and opened the door, so we did not need to open the door. God, this would be the life to have a driver not walking home or walking to anywhere. Right, when I got into the car, a girl's voice called out to Riden. Fuck did she see me? I hope not this will cause problems. Before the girl came closer, the driver shut the door leaving Riden and him with the girl. Shit, I what to know what they will talk about. I will just roll down the wind a little. As the window went down a little, I could see that it was Sabrina with a smile on her face. It looks like she did not see me. Thank god know. Let's see what they are going to talk about.

"What's up, babe," said Sabrina as she grabbed Riden's hand. What the hell are they dating. I'm the one that is going to a cafe with a boy that's in a relationship.

"What do you what, Sabrina, and don't call me babe," Riden said with a pissed tone like he did not what her here as he movies his hand away from hers.

"Don't be like that. We are dating," laughed Sabrina as she moved her hair behind he ear, making her hair move away from her neck. When she did, I started to smell berries.

"We never have dated and never will, and I can't stand the smell of your pheromones. It makes me sick," murmured Riden as he glared at Sabrina. Right when he said that, the sweet scent of licorice overpowered the smell of berries.

"Why are you like this? Is it because of that piece of shit omega that is a lowlife loner!" yelled Sabrina crossing her arms, "we are meant to be together. We are fated."

"Like hell we are; I have not felt intoxicated to your pheromones. So no way would that happen!" yelled Riden as he continued to glare at Sabrina, "I already found my fated mate, so have a nice day."

When he finished, the driver opened the door to let Riden in. Right as the door opened, Sabrina and I locked eyes. Shit, she saw me. This is bad. I just what to have a peaceful life. Why me? Now she is going to ruin my life. I can just see it right now. She will start rumors about me, and people will talk about me behind my back. Why did I say yes to this?

"Let's get going," Riden smiled as the driver got to the driver's side and started to leave the school.

After a few minutes of silence in the SUV, the driver parked inside a parking garage and got out to open the passenger door. I could see that the parking garage was next to the cafe. As we walked, we started to get close to a building that looked familiar to me. It can't be the cafe is connected to Time Gear Entertainment Inc. This place will be hard to get in because this place is for famous people.

"Welcome, Sir.," smiled a woman as we walked into the cafe. I could see that there were people sitting at every table and bar that I could see.

"I should have a reservation for Richerson," smiled Riden as he looked at the woman. What the fuck he has a reservation? When the fuck did he do that?

"Yes, here you are," said the woman as she looked at a tablet, "table for two."

"When did you have time," I said as I looked at him.

"Well, it was one I said we were going to go. I called when I left the teachers lounge," Riden smiled as the woman guild us to our seats.

The cafe was huge. There were at least fifty tables with people in each one. Also, there was a staircase that led to the second floor. The cafe bar was against the window. At least that was normal. The color of the walls was light brown that looked more like wood, making the place look like it was going all out of the decor.

"Here are the VIP rooms, sir," said the woman as we walked to the back leading to a long hallway with doors on the back walls leading to private rooms.

"How can we have VIP," I whispered to Riden so no one would stop and look at us.

"Because my mother owns the cafe, that's why," smiled Riden as he grabbed my hand and led me to one of the rooms that were closed to us, "also my father owns the Time Gear Entertament Inc. building. So that's why it's connected."

So I'm here with a millionaire's son at his mother's cafe that just opened up. Why take me here? It's like I'm meeting his family without his family knowing I'm here. I just hope they don't show up. That will just be weird. So here's me, a wealthy son to a famous hotel chain not even close to being here having snakes and drinks with.

"So this place is nice," I smiled, trying to be uncomfortable being here.

"Yes, my mother is an omega, and she has always wanted to have a cafe but never dared to do it till now," smiled Riden as his face lit up when he talked about his mother.

"You really love your mother," I continued to smile as I looked at how excited he looked when he talked. Sometimes it seems like he's a little kid getting a new toy.

"Yes, I do. My mother reminds me a lot like you," Riden said when he looked with bright eyes.

"How so," I laughed because he really looks and acts like a puppy.

"Well, you both are nice, caring, not really giving people the benefit of the doubt. Also, your both tiny as well," Riden laughed as he smiled.

"Hello, can I have your order," said a different woman when she knocked on the door.

"We will have a huge Sunday with two straws, chocolate chip cookies, two ham, and swiss croissants. Also a pitcher of water as well too," murmured Riden as he looked at the woman as she wrote down everything he said.

Damn, he definitely knows what he wants here. So far, it's going super good, defiantly a peaceful place to be. I am happy that he got a room so no one will see us here. I really don't like being next to people I don't know. Their scents are just too much for me. It makes me not feel well. It definitely got worse when my father passed away.

"So what do your parents do," said Riden as the woman left the room.

"Well, my mother owns the Moonlight Oceanside Hotels and my father," I said before pushing when I thought of father again.

"Oh, I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable to talk about, but your mother's hotels are the best in the world. My family always uses them and recommends them to all of the people that work at his firm," Riden smiled as he shifted in his seat.

"Well, it's not uncomfortable to talk about. It's just that no one ever asked about my father because everyone mostly knows my mother so well," I said as I forced a smile, "my father passed away when I was 10 years old. It was during one of my mother's hotel events. Father was driving me home because it was late, and mother needed to stay to make sure that everything got taken care of. A car swerved in our lane and crashed into us on the way home. My father died on impact because a piece of metal pierced his heart, and I lost my sense of smell and also had amnesia. My parents and friend Kathrine were the only people I remembered until I was twelve. When I fell and hit my head and remembered everything and the car accident and had to have therapy because I had nightmares every night."

"Oh, I'm so sorry I asked you I did not mean for you to remember it again," Riden said as he lowered his head, showing that he was sad for the asking."

"It's all good. It was a long time ago. I don't have nightmares anymore, so don't feel sad okay," I smiled as I looked at Riden, hoping he would smile because I don't like it when people are sad around me.

"What about your scent of smell?" Riden as she looked up.

"I never got it back, but I can still smell pheromones, but they make me feel sick," I said as I turned away from him, not showing my face as I blushed, remembering his pheromones. They were so intoxicated to me. I just can't think about it right now.

"I'm sorry, I will not make mine come out, so you won't feel sick," Riden murmured as he smiled a little.

"It's fine. Your pheromones are the first ones that don't make me sick it smells of sweet licorice, and it relaxes me," I said, still trying to hide my face.

"That's awesome," Riden smiled so big, looking like he was so excited about what I said, "because yours does the same as well."

Before I said something, a knock on the door appeared and a woman standing in the doorway when she opened it.
