"That sounds ridiculous, Ven," Airiz commented on what Venice said.
Venice laid the two books on the cafeteria table where they were. "I think it's not." She looked serious before sitting in the empty seat opposite Airiz.
As usual, every breaktime, Airiz was on her laptop doing whatever business she was doing. Venice was used to her and her negative remarks about things related to opposite attraction or infatuation. She smiled secretly and she know the reason why Airiz was like that for she hasn"t even moved on from what happened before. Venice must understand her well, but letting go is always the option.
Many students have lunch in the cafeteria itself, occupying 300 students. The place is prominent, with sixty round tables set up. The tables are one meter away. Every time Venice go there, she can't help but notice the large menu board of the cafeteria on the right wall glued to where the counter and store of food, chichirya, drinks, and snacks are placed. The ambiance of the place is nice, not too noisy unless the popular or famous of the school come. Solina Academy is one of the luxurious and excellent schools in the Philippines.
"We have different points of view toward love thingy, and I bet Max is just playing with Kathlyn's heart. Here..." Airiz handed me a white folder and Venice took it without hesitation.
"Maybe you're wrong, and Max loves Kathlyn even though she's a nerd. True love doesn't look at the appearance" Venice smiled at her.
"Is that here yet?" Venice think of what Airiz gave.
"Yeah, I've used 20,000 in our bank to pay my sources. You know how gowdamn that ass is if no money-related."
"I know, but he had a good ass being like that," Venice said with a chuckle.
Airiz two eyebrows rose because of what Venice said, and Airiz unbelievable face. "Seriously? You compliment him?"
Venice stared at her friend. Is it a big deal to compliment a guy? She put the folder in the laptop case and glanced at the Bulova watch on her right wrist. Airiz plastered a smirk on her face.
"Why is Drei late? She's almost five minutes late." Venice couldn't help but speak.
"I saw her there ..." Airiz looked at the band near the counter.
Venice followed what Airiz was looking at. And there, she saw Audrei talking to a guy — no, she last wrong, her friend was flirting with that guy. Venice knows the man Audrei is easy talking to. No other than Netheniel Demonie, the cousin of Ivan Dutch Demonie plus one of the most popular in Solina.
"She"s doing the plan now," Airiz said.
Venice looked back to the front. "We just have to agree on our plan; if not, then we're doomed."
"Don't worry, it will," full of confidence Airiz told her.
"Hungry?" Venice changed the subject. Airiz was still typing on the laptop, and she nodded. Venice knew Airiz was hungry, but she forgot to eat because of what was being done on the laptop that Venice couldn"t understand.
"I will buy our food first, and we will wait for Audrei after ten minutes," Venice told her. Airiz just nodded that her sight could not be removed from the laptop.
And Venice got up from the seat and walked over to the counter, and she saw in the peripheral view Audrei and Netheniel at a table near the counter. The two talked happily, and she could see how Netheniel was staring at her friend. Stare that says he was interested in her. Venice knows Audrei when it comes to men; she"s the type of girl that is irresistible when she flirts.
The word beautiful was the exact phrase because Venice knew Audrei Janelle Daziel was a goddess. From her tantalizing hazelnut eyes, kissable red lips, long seducing eyelashes, copper blonde silky long hair, and her angelic face. Everyone admires her body, and it's perfectly curved — sexy, petite — and long-legged. She's perfect.
Arriving at the counter, Venice orders as often as she buys. Fried rice, chicken adobo, fried chicken, ice tea, and double dutch ice cream in a cup, and she immediately returned to the table after paying and handed to hef the large serving tray.
Venice laid the food on the table and then placed the serving tray in the container under the table.
"Thanks for the treat," Airiz said with a tinge of sarcasm in the tone.
"No problem, I'll add this to your debt list." Venice winked at once.
Airiz took the plate with only rice. She used a fork when she first picked up her favorite dish, adobo. As she did, so did Venice. Favorite food? As long as it's clean food, shell eats it. Venice was about to eat when a female student suddenly approached their table.
"Excuse me?" said the woman looking at Venice.
She turned to her left and right to see if the student talked to someone else, not her. Airiz's face was also surprised looking at the woman. She also stopped eating.
"Me?" Venice pointed at herself, and her head heated at the woman's laughter. Teasing laughter.
"Yes, you. Who else? I'm looking at you." Venice saw even white even teeth when the woman smiled.
Venice just now saw the face of the woman approaching us. The school princess slash bitch, Mayumi Shandal.
"Why?" Venice asked with a quizzical eye.
"Please stay away, your bitch friend from my Netheniel. Why? They are not good to be together. Tell her I warn her if she doesn't stay away from my Netheniel, I'll give her the hell she wants!" the woman said threateningly and smiled big and left them.
Airiz and Venice looked at each other.
"What that awesome, heck!" Airiz suddenly said and smiled. "Will you allow me to—"
Venice didn't finish what Airiz was going to say because she knew what her friend was up to. She feels sorry for what Airiz can do to the woman. Yeah, she knows how brutal Airiz is.
"No, and let's just continue eating. It's just she might have been hungry when she said those words. Mean girls." Venice ate the food, ignoring the evil gaze of the ten women five tables away from them on the right.
"Okay, but—" Airiz was about to speak, but Venice glared at her. "Okay, okay, just let it pass ..." Then she shrugged.
The two eat quietly again. Audrei suddenly came to the table, and a big smile was plastered on her face and sat in the vacant seat.
"You won't believe he invited me to be his date. I agreed, and here it is," Audrei said with eagerness and giggled to the two. Three pink envelopes were raised.
"You made it; how to touch I am," Airiz said sarcastically.
"Shut up, Airiz. You're not the one I'm talking to."
And Airiz rolled her eyes at the woman.
"Am I talking to you too?" Airiz smiled big at Audrei. Audrei gave her a death glare. "I'm just kidding, Drei. Easily pissed."
"Whatever." Audrie's tongue-tied to Airiz.
Venice doesn"t care about the two anymore. She was hungry, and she would prioritize food while she listened to what the two were saying.
"Go on," Airiz said.
"Neth invited us to his cousin's wedding, Jea Demonie." She whispered that they were the only ones who could hear and smiled big with raised lower eyebrows.
