SIX

Winterfall stared intently over the Dauntless Hospital. The wind played the long white hair of the woman with him. Its white skin was smooth and the red lipstick and dark eyebrows and eyelashes give color to her face. His gray eyes stared sharply at the car in the distance.

"Here's the 7th emperor of the Rogues Society, do you know who he's talking to, Windfall?" The woman turned to him with his eyes still focused on the moving vehicle.

He adjusted the tie around his neck, he's wearing a dark blue coat and tie, before looking at the woman, and he stared at her katana hanging from her waist belt. Not noticeable because she wore stretchable jeans the same color as its katana holder.

"I know him, Poison. Why?"

She flipped her hair while grinning at him. "Staring at her looks like you know her. Don't say you're her guardian?"

He put both hands in the pocket of his pants. A poker-faced set in his tan face. "It's beyond your knowledge, Poison."

"Oh! Windfall, I know you so you know me too. How you looked at him and the look at her until she left. That's the look of vigilance. Sure, even if you don't say it, I already know," Winterfall shrugged in response to what she said.

He lifted his head staring at the sky and saw the darkening cloud in the distance. It will rain later. The weather forecast was right for today's weather.

"I'll head first, Windfall. I still have lists of things I want to find and it means getting more money." He saw the joy in her eyes after saying a lot of money. How much does Poison like the money? For her, more money makes life better.

"You're targeting Aces now, aren't you?"

Poison chuckled. "You know me, Windfall. That's the highest head price I'll give priority to. Goodbye." When he realized the woman was no longer in the area. She had left.

He turned around and stepped toward the roof deck door with his brows furrowed. If he was right, there's a great trouble Flavus was into against the Underworld society. And he needed to know about it before it's too late.

"THERE'S no lead singer of the club today, Erythros."

"Ellisha is sick so she can't go."

"What are we going to do, Erythros?"

Airiz was so annoyed with the two managers who had earlier been back and forth inside her office in the club. No lead singer, that"s the big problem of the sisters' secret club today. Why now were many VIPs were going. She picked up the phone at the office desk and dialed Venice's number but it couldn't be reached. She just called Audrei and a few rings before she answered.

"Hello, Drei—"

'I'm sorry I'm busy on my date today, Airiz. Later. Bye.' Audrei immediately cut off the call without even letting Airiz finish what she was about to say. It annoys her. Argh!

Airiz wanted to get lost now for she hated problems the most. She really hate that and she clenched her fist and harshly breathed. The door opened, she was ready to shout if those two managers were still here to annoy her of the problem but she swallowed what to say upon seeing Venice wearing her half mask that only part of the face can be seen down the mouth to chin. Venice wearing a dark blue denim jacket underneath a blue top, a high waist stretchable dark jeans paired by dark high-cut boots with her untangled hair and she wore a similar necklace Airiz had but only dark red. Each of the Rose Sisters has a code name, half mask and the signature rose pendant necklace depending on the shade chosen by each of them

"Look problematic, what's up?" Venice hesitant tone of her voice.

Airiz rolled her eyes. "We don't have a lead singer, Elisha got sick and the proxy singer nowhere to contact. That's our biggest problem now, Flavus." Flavus is what she call Venice when they were at the club.

"So? How's that? If there's no lead singer especially VIPs is coming now." Venice sat down on the couch.

"Problems are my worst enemy, Flavus. Unless it deals with computers, guns, body, and sword however not." Airiz took the laptop out of the drawer and opened it. All CCTV cameras were connected to her laptop.

Airiz look at the people coming in and out inside the club. The two bodyguards dressed in full white masks and made of thick expensive plastic stood guarding at the entrance of the club. Every club employee wears a white full mask. That's not surprising to their customers, they used it.

Airiz's eyes move fast as she watches each camera video. One by one their VIPs came and sat on the seats just for them. It"s on the 2nd floor of the Sisters Secret Club where various types of transactions take place. Often drug transactions and guns are transacted at the VIP station. They have protected that 2nd floor, security was tight and no one enter the area if you are not on the VIP members list.

Once the full sensor detector detects an unknown person in the VIP station. That will automatically alarm their office immediately. They will find a way to solve the problem in that area. Since the club was founded nothing as that has happened. Their club was well secured and safe. Unlike some clubs that have prostitutes or provide comfort to customers using the body but they have entertainment through pool games, drinks, DJ, dance arena, and singers.

"You will be the singer, Erythros."

Airiz thought Venice was just kidding. "I'm not in the mood for jokers' laugh, Flavus."

"Who says I'm joking here? I'm serious," Venice said stressing her words.

Airiz's gaze shifted at her. "What! Seriously you want me to sing? Are you insane, Flavus?" Her voice raised in decibels. Heck! Who can't raise their voice at what Venice said? It's way more shocking and unbelievable.

Airiz saw Venice's bitter smile. "I'm not. I'm serious, deadly serious, Erythros. If Flagrare was here she would be the singer but we can't do anything else."

"No! I'm not good at singing. My voice is worst. You can't please me to do that suicidal thing." Airiz stubbornly refused. If she doesn"t, she means it.

"Is that a suicidal thing? Risking yourself in fights and battle then you can't say it's a suicidal thing?" Venice didn't like what Airiz let out. She promptly sit and stared at Airiz meeting her eyes.

"It's an order,r not a yes or no answer." Flavus gave her a deadly serious tone.

Airiz would have moaned but she just swallowed. No matter what she moans when Venice command, Airiz can do nothing. She frowned as she stood up in the chair and walked out the office door. Venice followed her down the hallway up the stairs to the top of the club.

"I hate doing this, Flavus." Airiz was not glad she was so disgusted. Argh!

Airiz's two ears heard Venice laugh. She know she was teasing her. What the heck! Airiz said screaming inside her head. She opened the door to the club.

'Heck, Flavus, I have a good idea that we could both enjoy your insane idea.' A wicked smile set on Airiz face while walking to the other door leading them into the second floor. The VIP station.

"Erythros..." Flavus called to Airiz as he was behind her.

"What?" Airiz irritation.

"There"s something wrong with it," Venice said alarmed.

Airiz glanced through her shoulder looking at Flavus who's staring deliberately around the people in the club. "Ahh, you're right. What you're doing to me isn't right. It's a huge heck of unfair," Airiz opinion.

Airiz heard a quick sigh from Venice then look at her with a smile. "Maybe I'm too worried without reason. Well, you can't change my decision."

Airiz gave him a you"re-a-pain-in-my-ass-looked and Venice gave her I-know-I-am-sometimes-looked.

She involuntarily rolled her eyeballs having such a feeling of despair and she slapped the passcard on the machine on the side of the door. Access granted! The machine's voice.

The metal door opened and Airiz entered inside the VIP station. Fill in all the VIP tables and chairs. The furniture inside was made of expensive materials. In the center was a large chandelier made of pure gold that they bought in Egypt. The light was dim all over the place except for the stage which had three lights alternating and suddenly illuminating at the same time. No one was at that stage. The surroundings were noisy due to the classic music played around which interrupted the conversations of the people. The waitresses were busy taking and giving customers orders.

The two went to the counter where the manager at the VIP station was. The phone of the obese manager wearing a white mask, his phone pressed on his ear. It didn"t seem to notice that they were approaching his direction.

"I know that, eh," he said over the phone along with his laugh. "We will become rich through that, of course! You can trust—" His speech was interrupted when Airiz spoke.

"Can you be trusted?" Airiz folded her arms facing the manager. Flavus stood leaning against the counter as the index finger of her hand rotated the mouth of the empty wine glass.

"Miss Erythros! Miss Flavus!" Shock mixed with fear registered on his face.

"Hi!" Flavius's wide smile greeted him. Airiz can see the manager swallowing quickly when he glanced at Flavus.

In a panic, he lowered his phone and put it in the pocket of his pants. He smiled at us recovering from what had happened.

He would have spoken but I interrupted him. "Get ready the musician, I'll be the one to sing..." There was no change in her tone as she said those words like it was normal for her when it's not.

As sudden as Airiz was earlier so was the manager. She smiled bitterly to Flavus. It should be fair.

"Okay, Miss Erythros," the manager said immediately and would have left.

When Airiz spoke again. "After me, Flavus." She curved a big at Flavus whose jaw dropped at the word she let out.

"Erythros—"

"No, but," then Airiz winked at Venice.

'You thought it was just you. Heck! It should be fair.'

Flavus could hardly believe Airiz's words. Out of mind, she sat on the barstool at the counter then sighed.

"Great! Erythros! Great!" Venice shook her head and said to herself.

Airiz went to the stage where a microphone was placed in the middle. She talked to the musicians backstage about what music to play. She loved music but she's not good at singing. She hopes she doesn't get anxious while singing and her voice would turn terrible. Self-confidence, please! She needs that now. It's too much Venice. Argh!

The surroundings became quiet. Everyone looks focused on Airiz. Wow, how nice. She feels like she will melt in front of them along with their reactions displaying on their faces as well as the waitresses. Shocked. Astonishment. Unbelievable one of the Rose Sisters would sing in front of them. She cursed inside her mind. What the fidgeting heck!

"I want to inform everyone that this is a special day because first time in history that the two Rose sisters will sing for you." Airiz gave them a fake smile and she heard an applaud then the music started.

"Counting stars by one republic," Airiz declared and she started singing.

'This is it! Heck!'

Back to what people used to do inside while I sang.

'Old but I'm not that old, young but I'm not that bold. Every time... "

Airiz saw Flavus smile at her as she drank a ladies drink at the counter and she throw sharp stares at her. She look around and she saw two men holding black cases negotiating with three men and two bodyguards standing behind them. At a table near the counter were three women happily chatting with three men with their drinks and food. Her eyes went to the open door and two handsome men entered along with a woman with long white hair. She know the woman, she was one of the huntresses of the Osetra Underworld, wearing a long slit scarlet tulip off-shoulder dress was alluring. The woman looked at Airiz and smiled at her with a wink. Poison!

Many people from Osetra Underworld were one of their VIPs, which was no longer surprising or even surprising to her. She turned her gaze to the waitresses circling the tables.
