Fallen Ship

It was difficult to walk as the ship had become quite vertical, with objects flying toward him as he tried his best to escape.

If not for the many talented fragments enhancing his body, he would not have even been able to dodge those objects shooting at him with lightning speed as he jumps higher and higher by relying on the friction of the ground.

His heart is beating over 100 beats per minute as he keeps jumping from one place to another and then finally kicking over a door that leads to the outside of the ship.

When they finally got out of that swamp of water coming up to the outside deck, they could see a terrible view of the many dead bodies floating on the icy water.

There were pieces of ice floating on the cold ocean water and the corpses of people on the cruise.

With everybody fighting for a way to survive and killing each other like savages, there were not even as many people being able to get on the lifeboats.

Julia looks at him with those blue eyes containing worry and fear as she sees the many dead people on the icy ocean, worried that this will also be the last day as she hugs him around the neck.

"Don't worry," Jon gives her a confident smile to reassure her of her worries, "I got us covered."

Putting down her and the food bag, he took out an orange-colored inflatable lifeboat that Death had given him in the backpack.

He could blow it up to its full size with a single breath as he threw it down the water a short length below him.

Jumping into the lifeboat, he reaches his arms up to her to help her onto it; he finds her like a cute and innocent koala bear as she clings to him again on the lifeboat once they are both down.

She sits next to him closely as she watches as he moves past those frozen bodies afloat on the water and uses a compass to direct himself; she is too fearful even to say anything.

In the nighttime, Jon stopped paddling and saw that she was wrapping herself together with that coat he had for her.

And she leans her petite body against him, "It is so cold."

"Here," he draws her close to a hug spreading his body heat to her; right now, he is only wearing a long-sleeved shirt, but he can withstand the chilling cold easier with his physique enhanced.

She smiles a little as she embraces him, then her stomach produces a gurgling sound from feeling a little hungry, her cheeks instantly have a blush on them from shyness.

"I guess I'm a little hungry," she says to him, looking at his handsome face with an innocent blush.

He goes through the large plastic bag that he had from gathering food in the storage unit of the cruise before and takes out a can of ham and a can of spinach.

"There's also more inside, but I think this is all that we have, Miss Julia," he said to her, seeing that she was contemplating whether to eat them.

Since she was young, she had never tried these kinds of food before from a can; usually, the only food she had tried was the food specially cooked for her by the cooks belonging to her family.

He opens the can for her by uplifting the seal on the top, revealing the round ham meet inside, "You got to eat something."

She looks at him and then at the canned meat before giving a cute resigned nod, saying with a prideful sigh, "I guess I'll try it if you insist."

He grabs a plastic spoon from the bag and feeds her a bite of the ham meet, and watches as she chews it slowly in her mouth.

"How is it?" He asked with a smile seeing her eyes light up with delight upon tasting the meat.

"It doesn't taste that bad," she said to him, remaining with an air that the food was below her status to eat, "feed me some more."

"As you wish," Jon says to her politely, feeding her another spoonful of the ham meat and feeding her from the can until the can is empty.

"I want to try some other food; what do you have in the bag there," she asked with child-like curiosity.

He goes through the bag and finds some salted crackers inside and takes it out to show them to her, "We also have some crackers with us, Miss Julia. Do you want me to feed it to you?"

She gives him a nod as her arms are still grabbing tightly to each other from the coldness of the wind blowing from the ocean.

As he feeds her the food, Jon watches with a joyful smile seeing that she satisfies her hunger.

When he was on the ship, he carefully selected these foods from the shelves there because he knew what kind of food his lady loved to eat from the original owner's memory.

"I'm full," Julia said with a prideful air as she leaned against him, drawing close to him, "you can stop now."

Putting his arms around her to wrap the coat tighter so that she doesn't feel her body heat escaping so quickly.

The large moon hangs above the dark ocean and reflects itself below on the ocean's surface as the waves drift their lifeboat.

There's a stillness to the ocean that she finds a little creepy and eerie, but drawing herself so closely to another person makes that fear inside her disappear.

"Do you want me to tell you stories for entertainment?" Jon asked sweetly, seeing that she had difficulties falling asleep in the cold, gently brushing her golden locks of hair with his warm hand.

She tightly holds onto his clothes as her innocent eyes look up at him expectantly, those tired eyes that long for sleep; she whispers to him in command with her soft voice quietly, "Tell me a story."
