Wandering Tales

He discovered his memory improved astoundingly upon absorbing the memory fragment from before; in his head is almost a library full of books, remembering even the words on the pages he flipped through casually.

As he told her the stories, she noticed that his eyebrows were knitted as he looked at her slightly perplexedly, "Do I have a weird smell? I haven't worn the same clothing for so long before." She said to him in a soft voice while sniffing her dress in an embarrassed manner.

He touched the crown of her head; this was one of the habits that the original owner had; it was a sign of his deep affection for Julia whenever he was with her, "No, it is not that," he told her, "it is just that I'm surprised that you had gotten used to everything so quickly."

She didn't stop him from putting his hand on top of her tiny head as she blushed shyly, wrapping herself around him like a cute koala bear, "That's because I have you. I love you very much, you know. I don't feel as empty when I still have you giving me hope."

Wrapping herself around him, he could smell the light fragrance from her body, "But you do have some dirt on your cute cheeks," he told her while wiping away the light dirt spot on her puffy cheeks.

Her endearingness made him almost want to squeeze her tightly into his arms and hug her forever.

For some reason, after the shipwrecked, she finds that the person in front of her is becoming more unfamiliar than before, but in a good way that makes her heart bubble with love.

In the past, he would always treat her coldly and pushes her away whenever she tried to hug him or do affectionate things to him when they were together in secret.

With her advances being rejected, she feels so abandoned by him, though she refuses to give up and always tells him how much she loves him even though he ignores her whenever she acts that way.

"You're such a good storyteller," she complimented when he finished recounting a long story after speaking to her the whole day nonstop till it was evening.

"Well, I didn't want you to feel too bored from this adventure," he told her sweetly, "we're almost there, I promise."

She looks at him, confused, "Where are we going?"

"It's an island quite north," he told her as he finally put down the paddles to rest his arms after exercising his endurance for the entire day.

When he looked back, he saw her watching him with her large eyes and a slight smile on her face, with her slender legs revealed from her short dress resting on the lifeboat.

He sees that she is eating crackers from one of the containers, "Are you even hungry anymore, Miss Julia?"

She shakes her head and puts a salted cracker in front of his face indicating for him to take a bite.

She looks at him expectantly and cutely as she waits for him to take a bite, "Try it," once he gets a bit, she eats the other half of the cracker.

"Here, Miss Julia, have some water," he pours some water out from the water container into a cup and hands it over to her, putting it close to her lips for her to drink.

She finishes drinking the water from the cup and looks at him with slight annoyance as she pouts her cheeks adorably, "You should stop calling me that, now that we are alone. It makes me feel so distant from you."

"As you wish...Julia," he said, pausing halfway as he tried to eliminate the old habit of using that when addressing her at the family manor.

When his memories and the original owner's memory united, he found himself having habits that he didn't have before, and this way of addressing her was one of the habits that he had from before.

She giggles a little to herself, hearing his pause in the middle of his sentence.

"It is just us now," she said to him as she closed her eyes for a minute, cuddling warmly close to him.

He didn't say anything as he felt her body attached to him; her skin had become quite sticky from the hot heat, making her sweat; he then asked her, "What do you plan on doing once you get back?"

She opens her eyes to look out into the darkening evening of the sea as the sun begins to set beautifully on the ocean surface, "I don't know. If I get back, I might...I haven't thought that far...What about you?"

"I think I'm going to go on a road trip or start going to different places to take photography," he said to her and noticed that her large blue eyes seemed to light up upon hearing this dream of his, "...By myself of course."

Hearing his last words, which made her feel a little upset, she immediately sat up straight from the lifeboat and looked at him with slight annoyance, "You're not going to bring me along?" Asked him with a sharpness to her tone.

"Nope," he said to her with a smile as he continued to recount his dream, "Then I'll meet a beautiful and mature woman on my travels. Then I'll propose to her on a beach, and we'll have a nice honeymoon on a cruise ship-"

"Well, I hope your cruise ship will crash on your honeymoon," she says with annoyance in her voice as her eyes look away as she suppresses the jealousy that she feels when she imagines that person that she loves with another woman.

"No worries, and after that, my wife and I will have our own little family as well with four kids," he said to her, recounting that fantasy while watching from the corner of his eyes how she was becoming more and more annoyed by the second as her imagination sees him with another girl.

"Are you even going to visit me at all," she said and pouting her cheeks cutely with a face that said she was angry, "or are you just going to forget me when you meet this mature woman of yours that is going to be the mother of your four kids."

"Nope," he said straightforwardly with a joyful smile as he recollects, "once we get back, I won't even say goodbye to you as I leave you at the harbor and run off on my long trip. I won't even be thinking of you anymore as I enjoy my happy marriage and with my beautiful family."

When he finishes his act, he sees that she has her body turned away from him, and he can hear some sniffling sound from her petite body.

He sees that she has some slight tears in her eyes as she gives him a death stare, "Don't ever joke like that; it is not funny. You're mine for life. You're not allowed to leave me alone; I will have nobody anymore. You are all that is left in this world for me."

She embraces him tightly while holding onto his shirt; seeing her acting in such a manner made him out of words, as he puts his arms around her, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't joke like that. I want you to know that I won't ever be leaving you either. And I am forever yours, Julia."

"You promise," she looks up at him expectantly with her large blue eyes, "you promise me you won't be leaving me and riding into the sunset with another girl?"

"Is that how it goes? Me riding off into the sunset," he asked, seeing those innocent eyes filled with charm and delight.

"I'm being serious, Jon; you're not allowed to leave. I would be all alone by then," she said to him with her prominent blues eyes casting some sadness into them, "promise me."

"I promise you, Julia," he told her sincerely, "I will not leave you alone in this cold world."

She smiled sweetly and hung tightly around his body, "Can you tell me more of those stories?"

The sun has now fully set from the Earth as the sky cast down a dark color setting the world into the night.

He smiles as he watches her adorable face, "As you wish."
