"Jon, do you have more open spots available? I can learn to do programming and coding, too," Mark said jokingly.
"Yeah, if I knew that such a job was available, I would've learned Computer Science instead," Fiona said, acting like she was disappointed in her decision.
"That's the perfect job," Zack said with excitement as he grasped Jon's hand with grateful appreciation.
"No need. The company could always use a hand; someone will be messaging you about the job soon," Jon said with a smile.
"Yes," he could see Zack already doing a jump into the air with joy, and everybody just looked at each other with a smile seeing how silly he was acting.
"What is this delicious smell," from the open balcony, they could see Luke, Wendy, and Mary walk in.
"I smell something delicious," Luke said as he walked closer to the table with interest, "can you share some with your neighbors."
"Here are your bowls," Jon said, "I've already prepared your fill for the morning."
"Yay, thank you so much, Jon," Wendy said as she took the bowl of fried rice and ate with joy.
"You have to try this drink too, Wendy," Zack said as he brought the drinks to her, "Jon's cooking is better than even professional cooking."
When Mary took a bite of the fried rice with eggs, her eyes immediately opened wide as she exclaimed, "I never ate something so good."
"Do you mind if we joy you for breakfast from now on," Luke said without feeling embarrassed for the asking to freeload off their food.
Everyone in the room looked at Jon to see what he would say, "Of course, I don't mind. The more, the merrier, and you guys can come over for dinner at six in the evening."
"Will do!" Luke stood like a shoulder and gave his salute, making Mark and Zack laugh.
"Hey, Wendy, let me tell you good news," Zack said with a giant smile and whispered to Wendy, "Jon just helped me find a good job, and the pay is also pretty good."
"That's good," Wendy said with an innocent smile, "I think I need to find a job. Do you have any more open spots for me, Jon?"
"An open spot? How about you work as an assistant to Zack? The payment will be 300,000 dollars per year," Jon said casually.
Hearing that amount of money, Mary and Luke immediately feel fainting, wondering how such an excellent job never lands on their lap.
"Wow, thank you so much, Jon!" Wendy said as he looked at Zack, "This job is perfect. I'll be more than happy to help Zack with his work."
And from the side, he gives Zack a slight wink which is subtle communication, 'Look how I am helping you land an opportunity with your sweetheart.'
Zack didn't say anything and smiled, but he knew that Jon did this for him.
Seeing how happy everyone was, Christina stood up from her chair and held Jon's hand, "Jon, we should hurry up. We have a lot to do today."
"Yeah. Guys, we two will be leaving now," Jon said as he took Christina's hand and left the apartment while everybody behind was giving him the thumbs up.
"Look at those two; they are already so close," Fiona said with a happy smile. She had a satisfied expression on her face as she took a bite of the fried rice.
"Yeah, they are quite a match," Mark agreed with Fiona.
At the mall, the two went to many different stores, and he accompanied Christina to buy clothes, helping her carry the many bags of new trending styles.
They also went to an arcade together, he taught her how to win the machines, and they were so good that the arcade manager had to beg them to leave.
Sitting on a seat on the metal, Christina smiled, "Wow, what a day! I don't think I can walk anymore."
"Well, we can always go home anytime you finish shopping," Jon said as he looked in her direction.
"You wish," Christina said, standing up from her seat with energy, "I'll be shopping till you drop first. It is a rare opportunity to have someone carry my bags for me and pay for what I buy."
Jon laughs, hearing her say, "Alright, then let's continue our shopping spree and shop till both of us drop."
He took out his phone and saw that the time was still around 2 in the afternoon, "We still have some time on our hands."
When they finished shopping, it was already 4 in the evening, and in the outside parking lot, they saw the sight of the children with their parents playing in the playground, "So cute. Should we have a kid of our own one day?"
Jon looks with a smile at the children and finishes putting the bags into the back of the car, putting an arm around her lovingly, "You're already thinking so far ahead?"
"Yeah, of course," Christina said with a bright smile, as her eyes have a motherly love for the children.
She was already thinking about the children they would have together, the names she had decided in her heart, and what to buy for their birthdays.
"Well, before you do that, we should at least be married first," Jon said with hearty laughter.
"Alright then," Christina sighs comedically, "I'll wait for you to put a ring on my finger first. Hopefully, you won't be making me wait for too long."
"I promise it won't be too long," Jon thought to himself, "maybe a hundred chapters later..."
"Hey!" She fakes a sign of anger for him, "That's a bit too long!"
In his heart, he realizes that he has gotten used to living in the apartment now, and the dark clouds that were hovering over his heart have dissipated already.
He doesn't know when that happened, but he feels like friendship and love have changed him for the better these days.
