“Storm, no. Absolutely not. I’m saving myself for AJ, what’s wrong with you?”


“Maxx, don’t make me force it on you. Because I will if you make me.”


I couldn’t believe it. After saying he would let me go, he turned around and did something like this.


I refused to sleep with him as a way of saying goodbye.


“I’m giving you a way out!” Storm said when he saw that my answer was still no. “I’m setting you free, Maxx, to go and chase this boy you love. I only ask for one moment in return! One memory, Maxx, and that’s it! How can you deny me that, after everything I’ve given you?”


“Given me what? You tore me from AJ. You brought the wolf king into me. You betrayed me, Storm. And now, my mate is waiting for me. I have to go.”


It increasingly looked like Storm was becoming unhinged. And it wasn’t like he had that much grasp on sanity in the first place. The guy had always had a temper. And he got into a lot of fights. It sure looked like he was gearing up for a fight right now.
