Chapter 31: Not Quite The Dynamic Duo

Officer Coal had been walking for a few hours, he was certain it had only been a few hours based on the movement of the nearby star across the sky, but if science weren’t presenting him with irrefutable facts, he would have sworn he’d been walking for days. Luckily, there was water everywhere. Still, he probably would have gone nuts if he hadn’t had someone to talk to all this time. Fortunately for his sanity, Officer Coal had crashed near what he could only assume were the remains of Mr. Bedlam’s armor. He’d found Athena’s mobility orb lying among the destroyed suit.

“We have only been walking for a few hours, right?” Officer Coal looked over at Athena as her hologram walked along beside him.

Technically, I don’t walk, but yes, we have been travelling for four hours. It is strange that we have not yet located Jefferson.

“Why are you having trouble locking onto his position?” Officer Coal continues onward, determined to find some sign of Mr. Bedlam.
