Chapter 24: Apologies and Confessions

“I’m not doing it, Skylar,” Sabriel argued, shaking her head.

“I need your help, sis. You’re a woman, she’s a woman,” the king argued.

“And yet, it is your mess to clean up. You were an a*s, Sky. That’s not my responsibility to fix,” Sabriel pointed out with a sigh.

“I have no idea what to say. You can come up with something that sounds nice and tell her I said it,” Skylar argued.

Sabriel stopped walking down the corridor.

Skylar slowed his pace and turned over his shoulder. “What?” he asked.

“That is the stupidest thing you’ve ever said! You know you did something that requires an apology yet you still can’t figure out what to say?” she asked.

“I’m not good with words. Sklyar shrugged.

“Well, you better get good, because I’m not helping. You know you did something wrong. So, now you have to own up to it. You can’t do that by sending me with messages that aren’t from your own heart,” Sabriel said.
