Everyone laughed as if she'd said something funny. "It's time to go," John said softly.


She nodded, and they said goodbye to everyone. Their security people ushered them back to the car. John opened her door and went around the car to get in on the other side. United Earth Secret Service men stood around. They all had small disks in their ears which they used to talk to each other. John had promised to get her some of it to study. She loved their primitive technology. Some of it was really ingenious.


John settled into the seat next to her. "You enjoyed the visit?"
