Summoning the beast

"Master you're finally back," Phoenix said happily. The tears his been holding back have fallen. The rim of his eyes was red as he tried to wipe them off.

Seven were rendered speeches as he listen to them. Why are they calling him master?

The happiness inside the three came to an abrupt stop when Seven said the next words

"Who are you? why call me Master?" his voice was full of confusion. Nine-tailed Fox and White Tiger then remembered Black Dragon's reminder, their master didn't have his memories.

Black Dragon could only sigh, it was quite difficult to explain the situation. Not only to his Master but to his companions.

"Master I know you're confused but we are your familiars, we have formed a blood contract in your past life" He didn't know what to explain and just decided to say his relationship with each other.

Seven who remembers his past life didn't believe him. He even thinks that it was suspicious but for some reason, a huge part of him thinks that he was telling the truth. His heart was even betting fast like it has lost something and had finally found it at last. His soul was resonating with their voices.

"I don't remember forming a contract with you guys, I know this because I clearly remember my past life" Seven decided to reveal this secret, it was pretty clear that they knew about him so it was useless to hide this fact.

Black Dragon was having a difficult time, due to the devil's curse, the things he could say were limited. Phoenix looks at him strangely. He didn't know what is happening.

He was not aware of the spell, as he was asked by his master to transport all the beasts to a safe place. Only the dragons knew about the curse and Black Dragon in turn told the Fox and Tiger as soon as they woke up. Yet the two dared to contact their master. He had told them what was going on and to be exact the words he told the two were" Master don't remember us so we shouldn't disturb him in the meantime. Another thing, we can't allow him to sing, the Devil would take Master if he found his whereabouts" Though they had to let him sing when he was having his moments with his family, even then it took them quite a lot of power to block the whole place as to not let the energy out.

He admits he was wrong too because he didn't explain it further but that wasn't entirely his fault. The curse was stopping him from doing so and the two still haven't realized the curse.

Phoenix was about to say something about the destruction of their previous world when a force was stopping him from doing so. He felt like a chain was tightening around his neck and in his heart.

'Binding spell! "

How could this thing exist in him? If this thing was cast on him there was a possibility that his companions were also suffering the same thing.

This must be why Black Dragon was having a hard time. He looked at him wide-eyed asking for confirmation. The only response he got was a nod and that was enough to explain why he couldn't reveal everything to their master. The devil must have done something.

"Master it's quite difficult to explain but the past life I was referring to wasn't the one where you were on earth. Though I can't you tell much about that 'world' since we are afflicted with magic that prevents us from telling you what had happened. Just know that we won't hurt you " It was a good thing that magic and curses weren't in the same category so Black Dragon was able to avoid the binding spell. Seven's eyes widen, what do they mean by that?

What kind of magic was it that even powerful beings like them couldn't escape?

'the past life I can't remember, what did I do there?' Seven became even more curious however when he heard the word magic something inside him resonated. It seems like him forgetting about that past and them being unable to tell him about the world were connected.

Phoenix was running out of patients as he look at Black Dragon, since they can't tell him about that world why not just let their master summon them out to prove their bond.

" Master you can try summoning us out, we are connected by soul, if you call us out we can show ourselves," he said straightforwardly.

'Summoning..... That didn't seem impossible' he thought, as far as he could remember, in the novels he read, summoning is an ability to call out other beings from other dimensions and create contracts with them such as the sacred beast, demons, and spirits. Those things needed preparation and we're quite dangerous. However, if you had formed a pact with them, calling them was easy.

"what should I do," he asked

Phoenix almost jumps in happiness" Master to Summon me all you need is to call out 'Phoenix'" he explains and waited to be called.

'Phoenix' A majestic red bird came into his mind. Isn't that a sacred beast that will be reborn from its ashes after its death? How was he able to get make a blood contract with them?

"wait you should call me first master, just say Nine-tailed fox" hearing another sacred beast left him speechless. Don't tell me he had contracted a powerful sacred beast? Did all his luck run out because of this?

"Master me..me, I'm White Tiger"

'Phoenix...Nine-tailed Fox...White Tiger... what's next a Dragon?'

"no, you guys don't know that much, it would be best if Master call me, the Black Dragon after all I have been watching over master"

Seven felt that his luck must have been spent just to form a contract with them.

The for started arguing and Seven had no choice but to mitigate the fight. " ok be quiet, I'm still not familiar with all of you but I'll call all of you out" he said, he was curious what they look like. In his past life, they had many versions of their image but seeing the real one just make a difference.

" Black Dragon" he called him first, he felt that this guy knew what happened. He then voices out the rest of the name. He was expecting a fancier way of summoning though since this makes this more mysterious and sophisticated.

He even imagines himself, standing in the center of a well-drawn formation and using his life in exchange for their help. He also considered using his blood and would say along the lines of "take this blood as my offering and heed my calls....". But he guesses that novels aren't a good material for reference.

What he didn't was that most summoners had to do those things, sacred beasts are powerful, and their requirement is out of this world. Some beasts would ask for rare treasure or a blood sacrifice but what people need to remember the most is that beasts are often, if not, narcissistic.

They like praises above everything else, whether it's about their beauty or strength. They would listen to your summons depending on how beautiful and creative your words are. So even if you are strong but lack the talent to impress them with your calls they wouldn't necessarily answer it.

Seven looks as his surrounding become covered with fog. The floor lit up and a familiar formation showed. It was his spiritual structure. The doubts in his heart dissipate, it seems like they weren't lying?

The formation turn black and a bit of gold, the aura surrounding it wasn't frightening, contrary, it was mystical and elegant. An image of a black dragon appeared and a roar echoed the whole room. It was huge and its wings shimmered with luster. The image becomes smaller and disappears. Ahuman'ss shape was standing in the middle.

When he thought it was over, the formation lit up once again but this time it was a mixture of red, orange, and yellow just like the fire. It didn't burn, instead, it was warm and gives the feeling of comfort and happiness. A shriek from a bird called out.

This happened two more times, it was in the colors white and red then white and gold. The former show off a charming allure with a hint of seduction, a beautiful silhouette of a Fox shine, his tails were swaying with the wind as if wanting to invite those around.

While the latter was pure and naive but courageous. It roared at the fox and jumped in his place, his four legs standing strong. His eyes look vicious but when he saw Seven they turn soft and pitiful.

Seven waited for the summoning to stop. The fog became even bigger until it covered all of them. Seven close his eyes as the light blinded his sight.

Seconds later he heard a voice. His brows knit in confusion. It sounded a bit different...

" Master" the Black dragon calls out. The fog around him disappeared while his whole persona could be seen clearly.

Seven opened his eyes, he looked around. Where are they? He just heard someone call him.

The three followed and walk out of the fog. Their manners were dignified, truly worthy of the title sacred. They stand 'tall' and elegant. The clothes they wore were the same as what they wore inside the space.

The four look up at their Master and realize something was odd, as far as they remember he wasn't this tall before, Black Dragon was, in fact, taller than him.

"master why did you suddenly grow so big, are you from a giant family now?" White tiger questions.
