Luck

If it smelled like that, then how good would it taste?

Hah...hah...hah...!

Saber's ragged breathing could be heard as he ran through the forest with his life on the line. Jumping through bushes and hopping over roots, Saber couldn't help but thank whatever Goddess of Luck because the T-rex has continuously gotten slower and slower the longer it ran after him.

Saber, on the other hand, has continued to quicken in speed the longer he ran. He attributed the T-rex's situation to his poison physique while his current situation to his evolution ability. The only problem he currently faced was the missing arm of his which caused the T-rex to continuously chase after him.

With blood continuously spurting out, a blood trail was created and he was unable to hope to prevent it because of the creature chasing after him. He was afraid that if he slows down, the T-rex would catch up to him.

But, as if the world wanted his death, Saber suddenly began feeling lightheaded. His pale skin became even paler as his hunger began gripping at his stomach even more. The speed at which he ran slowed down as his vision began turning blurry.

ROAR!!

The roar of a certain T-rex awakened him fully once more as he sped up. The distance from the creature behind him expanded as it quickly went from 10 meters to 15, 20, 25, and 30 meters. A smile formed on his face as he realized that he may be able to barely escape with his life. His consciousness which was fleeting only up to a moment ago, fully honed in on focusing to escape its current predicament.

But, once again, Saber felt as if the world was trying to kill him. The sun which was barely contacting with his skin because of the massive and numerous trees of the forest, suddenly blasted onto his body as he realized that he entered a plot of land of about 10 meters in diameter.

What angered him was the fact that behind him, the T-rex was quickly approaching while in front of him, merely a few meters away, a cliff was located!!

Rushing to the edge of the cliff, he peered down the abyss as he came to the horrible realization that the depth of the abyss was at this present moment indefinite. He was unable to see its depth and the worst part was that the other side of the cliff was over one hundred meters away.

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

The ground suddenly shook as the thing which he was running away from began making its appearance. Saber could only curse at his luck as what he feared happened.

'Little system, what is the physical strength of that Tyrannosaurus rex?' Saber asked as he needed to make sure he at the very least had a chance against the creature. Even though he knew that under normal occasions, fighting against such a monster would be death, with the T-rex eating his arm and being poison, Saber might just have a chance.

Appearing in Saber's view, a monstrous existence for the current Saber appeared, but before it could go any further, Saber was thankfully able to get the information from the system.

[Tyrannosaurus rex-

Physical Power- 970,

Atomic Energy Realm- Level 9 Body Improvement

Notice: The master's opponent is currently continuously losing power, making it impossible to accurately judge its strength. This was its level when it had made contact with the master's body]

Seeing such words, Saber realized that it seemed his system could only judge his opponent's strength once they touches him. Switching his attention toward the being who he'll need to fight with one arm, Saber was shocked to know that it was already a few meters away from him.

The two tiny arms of the creature threatened to reach him with those long claws. Saber ducked from the possible attack as he sent a punch toward the body.

Bam!!

Crack!!

Immediately thereafter, Saber regretted his decision as the only thing which was harmed by the blow was his fingers. The muscles and tendons in his fingers were ruptured from the hardness of the scales on the T-rex as Saber jumped backward and away from the T-rex. His feet landed on the very edge of the cliff as he prepared for his only plausible option which was to lure the T-rex into a trap.

ROAR!!

The T-rex roared out as it dashed towards Saber causing a smile to form on Saber's face. His eyes focused on under the body of the T-rex as he readied himself to dive through the space between the T-rex and the ground.

But, contrary to his expectations, the T-rex did not rush towards his body and met its inevitable death by falling off of the cliff...no, it instead halted its movements right before reaching Saber's position.

The jaws of the beast opened wide as it readied itself to swallow Saber whole. Saber was left with no room to dodge as the only thing he was able to do was helplessly watch as the mouth of the monster approached.

'No, I am not going to die here!' He shouted in his mind, and with a quick process of thinking and analyzing, he realized that there was only one possible way of surviving and that was to fall off of the cliff!!

But, he wasn't simply going to throw his body off the cliff since that would be foolish and suicidal. No, instead he decided to use the body of the T-rex to break his fall. How was he going to do it? Well, it was simple actually, he only needed to sacrifice a few things.

Watching the mouth of the beast approaching, Saber jumped towards it as he placed his only hand on the top half of the mouth while his right leg stepped onto the bottom half of the mouth. His left leg used the ground as a base as he used his strength to push the T-rex back.

Of course, that wouldn't work as the T-rex had way more strength than him but, with his amazing evolution ability, he was able to continuously become stronger the more strain he placed on his body. Slowly but surely, the T-rex would get pushed back and the T-rex realized this fact so, he decided to stop playing with his prey and instead used all of his strength.

His strong and muscular hips pushed down onto the dirt ground as Saber was immediately overpowered. But, this is exactly what he wanted as he did something which greatly surprised the T-rex.

Instead of continuing the fight for strength, Saber instead jumped inside of the T-rex's mouth. Though his left leg was bitten off before it could enter the T-rex's mouth, and this greatly pained Saber, now he was able to survive since the stupid T-rex hadn't realized that they were so close to the edge of the cliff.

With such closeness, and with the disappearance of Saber's strength, the momentum from the power which the T-rex was previously using, carried him over the cliff as his body uncontrollably fell downwards and into the abyss.

With Saber inside of the T-rex's stomach and with a fleeting consciousness, he could only smile and thank his luck for not being someone who suffered from claustrophobia, simply because of how tight it was inside of the T-rex's body.
