Three Days

After killing the two humans and swallowing their upper dantian, Saber exited the forest and where he saw a long dirt road. On the road were many carriages and humans riding on horses, and one of these carriages was halted as people who seemed to be guards stood outside the carriage doors.

Saber knew them from the chubby man's memories, and he knew that if he was seen then these annoying beings would immediately put two and two together. He was trying to go undercover since he wasn't the strongest in this world just yet, so a massacre is out of the question.

Disappearing from his location, Saber appeared in the skies as he flew toward the city in which the exams would be in. Following the dirt road, it was pretty easy for Saber with his level of speed to reach the city's destination in a few hours.

Yes, hours and not minutes. It seems that his speed also decreased dramatically along with his strength. But, this wasn't the most shocking fact, since he felt as if even with his full unsuppressed strength, he wouldn't be able to reach the city in minutes.

'It seems that the laws of this world are completely different than that of the previous world!' Saber thought with a smirk on his face since it had now begun to become interesting. He wanted to find out what was so different between the two worlds and if there are more worlds.

Hovering a few dozen meters over the city gates, Saber smirked as he knew that there isn't anyone who could sense his aura because of the clothes he currently wore. Since he needed not to pay any entrance fee, Saber quickly entered an alleyway in this medieval city where he landed on the ground.

Walking out of the alley, Saber approached a famous inn that was located in this city while also snatching a bag of coins which he tied to the black sash on his waist. Thankfully, his aura was suppressed to extreme levels, so no one was able to see him thanks to the speed at which he walked.

Appearing in front of the inn doors, Saber pushed them open and entered and was greeted with the view of a lower floor filled with tables and chairs as numerous humans drank and ate food. He wasn't in the mood to mingle with such people and headed to the front door where he stood for a few seconds before the staff behind the desk was able to see him.

She was then left in a slight stupor by Saber's appearance. Even though he lived in the world of beasts and had slightly wild-looking hair, his appearance was extremely attractive to the opposite sex.

Before he entered the beast world, he could have been labeled as a top model, but after evolving many times, his appearance wasn't far from being otherworldly. Especially his dark blue eyes that had the coldness of an iceberg and total indifference to life.

As a professional, she came out of her stupor after a few moments, allowing Saber to order a room and three days stay. He quickly got the keys after giving them two silver coins and then left the bottom floor and approached the top floor.

Entering the room, he jumped on the bed since this was the first time in two or so months since he was able to peacefully sleep on one. He closed his eyes and entered a deep sleep, a sleep that lasted for twelve hours as thereafter, the knocking of his door awoke him.

With visible anger, he opened the door, only to be surprised by the fact that the same employee he met who was behind the desk came again but with food in her hand. Seeing his surprise, she smiled sweetly and said.

"As a customer in our inn, you'll get two free meals every day which is day and night." Her voice entered Saber's ears as he gently took it from her hands and watched her leave. Seeing their kindness, Saber felt a little better and approached his bed where he sat down and began eating the rice and meat.

'Hmm, it doesn't taste that bad!' Saber thought in his mind as he then quickly finished his meal and sat in a lotus position before closing his eyes.

'This world is filled with energy other than the atomic energy which was previous in the beast world. Though the energy is there, and it is comparable to the amount in the beast world, this mysterious energy is more dominant.' Saber said in his mind after going through the information from the memories of the two humans that he killed.

'According to the memories, to enter the Spirit Connection realm, one must form a connection to their mind domain. Then, one will be able to absorb the energy that they call Sage energy into one's mind domain. But, the first and most important thing is to connect with one's mind domain.'

Saber thought before he continued, 'Even with scriptures and instructions, these two humans haven't connected with their mind domain as yet because of how hard it is. But, I will follow the teachings of the scriptures and enter the mind domain before the exam begins.'

His focus was fully on following the teachings of the scripture while simultaneously thinking,

'Surprisingly, the female had a better quality scripture than the young master, but her luck is pretty good since she mistakenly found it when she was approaching this city. Hmm, according to this scripture, I must maintain a calm mind and feel the energy of the surroundings.

The stronger one's body is, the quicker one will be able to sense the energy, and luckily for me, I have already reached the Energy Maneuvering realm in terms of body cultivation.' Saber thought before clearing his mind and beginning to try and feel the surrounding Sage energy.

A few hours passed inside the room in which Saber stayed, and he finally began sensing the energy. Following the scripture, Saber began absorbing the energy into his body and guided it toward the upper dantian in the center of his encephalon.

He was instantly hit with immense pain and then felt slight dizziness! His body wavered as his consciousness suddenly entered a dark blue space. His transparent body stood on top of a body of dark blue water as he realized that he stood in the same place that he had previously stood when he entered here for the first time.

"Ahh, I see you have begun Sage cultivation!" A voice that was oddly similar to Saber entered Saber's ears as he smiled and turned around to meet his counterpart. His face contained a questioning look as he replied with a question.

"You, I have a feeling that you know quite a lot more than me. So, why don't you enlighten me?" Saber asked his counterpart with interest visible in his eyes. But, just after asking such a question, golden energy began permeating the dark blue space, causing a smile to form on Saber's other half.

"Well, if you want to know more, you simply need to reach a level of strength where we become one. As a gift for beginning Sage cultivation, I will warn you to be a lot more subtle than when we were on the beast planet. Of course, in the exams in three days, you must show them your talent!"
