Chapter 198: Final Stand

"We Aren't The Same Anymore. I Am Something Different. So, Now There Isn't Any Reason To Fight Each Other... Not Yet." Oblivion said.

Hearing this, Saber understood the situation. If he were to simply enter the portal leading to Hell's Tower, there wouldn't be a fight. But, something told him that if he didn't rid the world of Oblivion right now, he'll regret it for eternity!!

...

...

'He will be useful in the future battle.' With this thought, Oblivion turned his back to Saber and approached the image of countless swords embedded into the dirt while even more black-colored swords flew wildly without any direction.

Tsk!

"And where do you think you're going?!!" Saber shouted while punching toward the air.

Although it was a harmless action, since it seemed he wanted to attack Oblivion, all things were made clear as his fist entered a black portal. Instantaneously thereafter, a black portal appeared in front of Oblivion, and exiting it was Saber's fist.

Seeing the incoming fist, Oblivion sighed in disappointment. His current strength was too much for Saber. It was soo much of a difference that the fist approaching him seemed as if it was barely inching toward him.

Oblivion gently waved his hand.

This caused a dim white aura to wash over Saber's hand.

Swoosh!

Urgh!

Saber grunted in pain, an unimaginable pain that caused his eyes to instantly turn bloodshot. He, who had experienced his fair share of pain, was left on his knees as he gritted his teeth due to the intense pain he was experiencing.

It was a pain he hadn't felt before. It was as if something was ripped out of his existence. Though he realized his left hand was missing, he knew it was not as simple as his left-hand disappearing. It felt as if it had been completely obliterated from existence.

He somehow knew that no matter what he tried, he would never be able to regrow his arm back. It was a sensation coming from the depths of his origin. It was knowledge that seemed to have been passed down by his ancestors through his bloodline.

"Did I Not Warn You..?" Oblivion questioned. His eyes squinted, showcasing the visible anger on his beyond beautiful face. "Seeing As You Aren't Willing To Listen, It Seems That You'll Need To Be Put in Place..." Oblivion said one final time before...

As he said that, his figure disappeared from Saber's vision.

Puchi!!!

Similar to how Saber did it, Oblivion sent his hand straight through the back of Saber! Looking down, Saber's eyes revealed shock as five slender and pale long fingers clenched on his glittering heart filled with many stars that glowed with many different colors.

Each color represented the element he devoured either from the entities in Hell's Tower or the elements belonging to Oblivion's previous body.

Puchi! Thud!!

Yanking his heart out, Saber's body fell to the ground as if re-enacting the scene that took place when Paragon Saber had been in the same situation.

Thump! Thump!! Thump!!!

In his hand was a multi-colored glowing heart. His memories churned as the scene of Saber's heart reminded him of those millions of streaks of light that destroyed his home!

Crack! Boom!!

His grip tightens, causing the heart to crack. But it didn't stop tightening, and eventually, the heart gave out as the heart exploded into countless multi-colored atoms.

Seeing as he has taught Saber a lesson, Oblivion walked toward Saber's body and bent over. Reaching toward Saber's ear, he then grabbed onto something.

Tear~!

Tearing out the Blue Earpiece Zeno had given Saber oh so many years ago, Oblivion placed it in his ear as it once more camouflaged. Oblivion's right ear seemed completely normal.

Smirking at the sorry sight of Saber, Oblivion then hopped over Saber's body before he realized something shocking.

"Huh? All this time, was I naked?!" Seeing his flaccid little brother which was rather gifted in terms of size, hanging out in the open, Oblivion couldn't believe he had just fought against Saber with this thing in the way.

'And he didn't even say anything... How unsightly!' Oblivion thought. Suddenly, a white form-fitting short-sleeved shirt and white pants with white kung fu shoes, black stockings, a flowing red vest with a long backside, and a black obi tied along with black armbands appeared on the ground in front of him.

'Hey... Isn't this the system Zeno gave me... Or Saber... doing this...' Oblivion thought while his memories about all those years ago when he used to be provided with clothes by the system suddenly surfaced in his mind.

Snap!

In an instant, the clothes were on. Oblivion seemed to be a dignified Martial Art Master. He couldn't say he did not like the new look. He liked it very much. It was much better than those modern-day battle armor that is overly tight on his body.

Where was the space for his little brother?

The trouble of the humanoid bodies...

'Wait? Could I... No!!' Oblivion shouted in disagreement in his mind. Thereafter, he decided to focus on his next move. This was to re-enter the Heavenly Mystic Domain once more.

Step by step, he approached the image of a wasteland with countless swords.

Every step, he traveled tens of kilometers.

Slash!

"Hmm..." Oblivion hummed. His body was suddenly sliced in half by a stream of Sword Intent.

Urgh!

Barely being able to stand, Saber still had a smile on his face. At the very least, his sneak attack had worked. Now, he simply needed to get to those dead bodies. Saber thought in his mind as with the help of his sword created by the Omniscient entity on his one hand, and with Leviathan helping him from the other side, they slowly made their way toward the portal.

They didn't bother looking back at the dissected body.

"So You Think You Can Leave After That?!!" Oblivion's dominating voice resonated with the world. Whatever remaining stars were instantly obliterated by the mere sound waves as Leviathan knelt on the ground while holding his head in pain from the voice.

Saber wasn't fearing any better.

Bam!

A foot landed on Saber's head, smashing it and leaving an imprint on his skull.

Saber finally lost consciousness.

Leviathan wasn't spared either. Oblivion's other leg landed on Leviathan's head as this one also cracked.

Now, remaining as the only conscious entity in the now Dark space, Oblivion uttered.

"Humph!!"

"If not for the fact that you'll be useful in the future, I would have returned you to oblivion!"

Thereafter, he gazed at the Sword next to Saber's body. A smile formed on his face. Waving his hand, the Sword seemingly gained a consciousness of its own as it flew around Oblivion's body with excitement.

Sigh!

Oblivion bent over and grabbed the neck of Saber and Leviathan. He flung them into the portal leading to Hell's Tower.

Seeing their bodies enter, he heaved another sigh of relief. Finally, the dragged-on fight was over.

The Final Stand was obliterated by his raw force.

The space was still crumbling. Due to Saber's and Oblivion's power levels, the last struggle seemed long but was merely a few seconds.

This was still a lot of time though. And the battle platform was almost completely destroyed.

Oblivion was still hundreds of thousands of kilometers away from the other end. He was this far from the other portal.

WAA!

Grabbing the Sword, his figure then disappeared. It once more reappeared in front of the portal.

He stepped into it without any hesitation!
