Chapter 91 - Reunion

---Mael POV---

Walking through the portal into the Taimanin Command Center, Sakura almost spilled hot tea on herself as we entered. Thinking we were the enemy for a moment, she let out a sigh when she saw Rinko, Murasaki, and I standing there. Telling us to call ahead next time before making a sudden appearance like that, I told her I would keep that in mind.

"We got Kiryuu's location.", Rinko stated as she stretched her arms, "We are rolling out in an hour to Amidahara. The bastard is hiding out there with some magician."

"When did I give the order to mobilize? Last I checked I was the Commander of our forces..", Asagi remarking coming out of the Security Room, "Speaking of giving orders, didn't I tell everyone not to accompany him? Your presence might have blown his cover, I don't want to cause him anymore problems than we already have."

Looking away from Asagi, the two women slipped behind me to avoid her gaze. Going to pull them out from behind me, she realized that it was more than just us standing there. Dropping her tea cup, she looked like she had seen a ghost as she looked at Kurenai and Shiranui. Having written them off as killed in action, she was overjoyed to see that both of them were alive.

"Shiranui!! Kurenai!! Do you know how worried you made all of us!!", Asagi said running over and giving them a hug, "It is a relief that both of you are still alive. Poor Yukikaze wept for months after your disappearance Shiranui...she missed you terribly."

"I...I am sorry...I don't know a Yukikaze, is she a relative of mine?", Shiranui asked with a depressed look, "Anything prior to a year ago is all fuzzy, I...I can't remember anything. It's all a blur in my head."

"You should know that both women were captured and mentally broken by an Incubus.", I advised, "Up until a little while ago they were still under the effects of his enchantment. It is broken now, but it will be sometime till they are fully back to normal. Make sure you keep them under surveillance...as their memories comeback, they may remember things he had them do for him. Not all of it was pleasant I am sure."

Understanding what I was getting at, Asagi told Murasaki to take them to sickbay and have them placed under medical watch till further notice. Taking that as her queue to leave, Murasaki took the two women by the hand and led them out of the Command Center. Once they were out of earshot, Asagi turned to look at Rinko next.

"Murasaki was the only one I expected to disregard my orders, all of us know the history she shares with Kiryuu.", Asagi stated, "You though...you have no history with him yet you blatantly disobeyed my orders, and went anyway. What do you have to say for yourself?"

"Asagi...I am sorry I disobeyed your orders, but I felt that the situation demanded it.", Rinko replied, "They have already offered him a high ranking position in their organization. She offered to help capture any of us that he wants in his bed, and even went as far as to offer herself to him. That bitch was all over him at the dinner table!"

'And you were too.', I thought hiding my smirk.

"You didn't take that offer?", Asagi asked me with an impressed look, "Most men would have accepted that offer without a second thought. You realize how much power and authority you could wield with them?"

"It is a tempting offer, but I am more than capable of pursuing women myself.", I chuckled pulling Rinko next to me, "Brainwashing women into sex slaves isn't my style, I'd rather put time and effort into winning them over. Besides which, I am already on talking terms with you ladies...no need to rush things."

Breaking out into a fit of laughter, Asagi said I was a very strange man. Cutting me off before I could reply, Rinko broke the news to Sakura and her. Informing them that I wasn't human, she told them that I was a High Demon/Seraphim Hybrid. Looking at me for confirmation, I manifested my angelic wings which was all the confirmation they needed to see.

"S...Sera...Seraphim!? High Demon!?", Asagi shrieked, "How are you able to live with both powers in you? You shouldn't be alive as the power would tear you to pieces!"

"I am a unique entity, let's just leave it at that.", I chuckled, "Now then, if you are going to prepare a strike team now is the time to do it. As Rinko said we are leaving in one hour so be ready to roll. Ingrid will be joining us just so you are aware."

Telling me that she wanted to change and get ready, Rinko ran off to get suited up. Following close behind, Asagi said she would organize a strike team to join me. Waiting for them to leave the room, I walked over and sat down in one of the empty chairs. Kicking my feet up, I decided to take a short nap while I waited for them to come back.

"So...", Sakura stated, "Does this mean that Rinko and you are thing?"

"Not really, I am not certain if her attraction to me is because she likes me or because she wants me to join your group. Honestly I could say the same for Ingrid as well, only time will tell.", I replied.

"You plan on sticking around after you finish your work?", Sakura asked.

"I will check in here and there with you all. This Dark Slime is only one of several that he helped make, Kiryuu teamed up with a Dark Sorcerer from another world. That sorcerer gave him the knowledge that recently helped Nomad increase their strength by leaps and bounds.", I remarked, "Till I am certain all of that tech is eliminated, I will still be around to help deal with it."

Nodding her head, Sakura returned to her work leaving me to rest for a bit.

---An Hour Later---

Entering the Command Center in battle attire, Asagi had rounded up several fighters to join our strike team. In addition to Rinko, Murasaki, and herself, she enlisted Yukikaze, Tatsurou. Asuka, and Maika to assist us. Apologizing for the small number of people, she informed me that staffing was low at the moment. Many agents were out on missions so this was all they could spare at the moment without leaving themselves open to attack.

"Before we go...thank you for saving my mother!", Yukikaze said bowing her head, "I...I am truly grateful to you for saving her. For the longest time I thought I lost her...it's good to have her back home where she belongs."

Judging by her makeup, she had probably just returned from seeing her mother. Telling her not worry about it, I said that family was the most important thing in live. Giving her a serious look, I told her to make sure she stayed by her mother's side through her recovery. It wasn't going to be easy, but she need Yukikaze more than anyone else right now.

"I will, I won't let her disappear again on me!", she firmly replied.

Getting up from my seat, I snapped my fingers and changed into Estarossa's armor. Making sure everything fit right, I proceeded to open a portal back to the club.

"Sakura, you have command till we get back.", Asagi ordered, "If anything happens make sure to contact me directly."

"Aye Captain.", Sakura replied with a playful laugh, "Make sure you give him hell for me!"

Assuring her we would, all of us walked through the portal to meet up with Ingrid. Leading the group through, Asagi almost fell into one of the many craters outside the club. Grabbing her shoulder, I pulled her back before she went in.

"Watch your step.", I teased her.

"Thanks.", she said with an embarrassed look.

Once everyone else was through, I closed the portal behind us. Surveying the area to locate Ingrid, we heard her before seeing her.

"Well well, look who was kind enough to join us.", Ingrid snickered as she walked out of the club, "Asagi and friends came to play."

"Haha...I could say the same to you.", Asagi replied as she looked at the other woman coming out of the club, "I see you brought friends too."

"Yukikaze!! Tatsurou!!", Lina shouted, "How are you both doing?"

Smacking her apprentice on the head, Lina yelped as she rubbed her head. Giving Ingrid a pouty face, Lina asked why she was hitting her.

"I have told you many times that you aren't supposed to be making friends with the enemy.", Ingrid sighed.

"I can't help it...they are nice people, and they are kind to me at school. Everyone else calls me a weirdo!", Lina argued, "I thought we were supposed to be kind to our allies."

"Ugh...", Ingrid groaned, "They are our enemies not allies!"

"Are you sure you are really cut out for your line of work Lina? I mean it sounds like you'd be a better traveling samurai then anything else.", I remarked.

Telling me she didn't want that, she insisted on being a Hell Knight like Ingrid. Giving Ingrid a pat on the shoulder, I wished her luck with raising Lina as it seemed like an uphill battle. Thanking me, she said that it would only be the two of them aiding us tonight. With our strike team completed, I used the Shadow Demon closest to Kratos as an anchor and opened a portal to him. Once I was sure the portal was stable, I proceeded to walk through with everyone else.

---3rd Person POV---

Closing the portal after everyone was safely through, Mael walked over to Kratos and gave him a firm handshake.

"It's good to see that you are alright.", Mael stated.

"...next time ensure the portal works before using it.", Kratos replied with a slightly annoyed tone.

"Duly noted, hopefully we won't run into this issue in the future. So what is the situation?", Mael inquired.

Getting Mael up to speed on what was happening, Ingrid and Asagi approached Annerose. Both of women were well aware of the detective by reputation alone. Neither of them had met her in person, but her appearance matched their intel. Shaking hands with her, the two introduced themselves to her.

"Asagi Igawa and Hell Knight Ingrid, I am well aware of who you both are. People in your charge have come to me previously with work, but last I heard you two wanted each other dead. Why are both of you here?", Annerose asked.

Glancing over at Mael, Annerose looked over at him as well. Seeing Kratos and him talking, she understood that Mael must be a God or other Higher Being.

"You sure you want to mess with fire? Divine Beings are whimsical at best, let's not forget they are the ones created everything to begin with. They can destroy it just as easily without any hesitation.", Annerose stated.

"Mael isn't like that, he's a nice guy.", Asagi assured her.

"Uh huh...a nice guy that is on friendly terms with a God of War, that just screams nothing to worry about.", Annerose snickered.

"You mean that man is a God?!", they asked.

Confirming that he was, Annerose told them that he was also cursed as well. Asking how she knew that, Annerose told them that he had told her a lot of things about the current situation.

"Now then, the enemy is hold up in the abandon hospital across the street.", Annerose said turning to Aishe, "Can you pull out your map of the area please?"

"Of course", Aishe replied as she rolled it out, "As you can see there are a few escape paths for them to flee out of, but we should have enough people to cover the exits. I suggest we..."

Pitching her plan to Asagi and Ingrid, Kratos and Mael were making plans of there own. Up to speed on what the situation was, Mael looked over at the hospital. Using magic to identify where people were, Mael was able to get an accurate headcount.

"All together about eighty people.", Mael said, "That said I don't see anyone similar to a mage that is supposed to be with them. This whole situation smells like a trap, they probably have more forces hiding elsewhere in the city waiting to portal in."

"Judging by how weak the beings of this world are, we should be able to handle this alone.", Kratos stated.

"I agree, no need to draw this out any longer. There is no need to keep anyone alive inside, consider everyone a hostile enemy.", I told him, "Once this is done we can-"

"Go back home, and have some beer and fried food.", Kratos grumbled/

Chuckling at that, I agreed we would go home and relax. I had a few things to do tomorrow with Irene so he could take the day off to drink himself stupid.
