Interrogation

Chapter 7 (Seven). Interrogation.

Reo blankly turned around and caught sight of the corpses he had disposed. It rising and moving on the road. He was able to intercept what was happening; the situation before him was like an opening to a horror apocalypse movie.

"Emelia, why are there zombies out here?"Just to make sure he wasn't making baseless assumptions that his wife was the culprit, Reo asked.

Emelia raised her head and lowered her head down again. The red jewels tied up on her left bridge of the hair tingled as she gripped the umbrella handle tighter. "Zombies? Excuse me, those are not zombies."

Reo thought he had been mistaken and as he was about to release an answer, Emelia interjected. "Those are undeads. A mid-level undead, moving corpse."

Reo became confused. True, those were undead. But why aren't they zombies? Aren't zombies supposed to be equal to an undead—They're both from corpses and the only difference was there name.

"And..." Emelia dragged out her words before bluntly stating in the end, "Removing the restrictions of the world lead to the unconscious release of necromancy, I didn't have time to remove a portion of my thoughts regarding the Invasion on Esme which lead to this response."

Hearing that, Reo was stunned. "So you turned the entire world into an apocalypse?"

"Not exactly." Emelia shook her head and said, "Only a portion of the world, meaning half of the globe. I can't carry out it to be larger since I may catch the attention of the Earth's guardian."

"So, what do you mean by this?"

"To be frank, its the dish for our date."

"Emelia..."

"Why? Have I done something wrong that I should be thrown for execution?"

"No...But that isn't right—"

"Oh, forgive me. But I can't change the world back other than having them 'survivors' save themselves."

Reo rubbed his forehead. His ivory hair sticking onto his flesh as it was filled with sweat. Even though he likes to clean up things as it was his daily life as a garbage collector— it doesn't mean he wanted to clean after more mess.

He looked around and sighed helplessly at the sight of blood scrambled around the ground. It was a few minutes yet the damage brought by the corpses were many.

Trashes were littered around; broken limbs, flesh, guts and torn apart muscles. It was a disgusting and gory sight.

Knowing that Emelia was the one behind the mess, Reo took a glove from his pockets and put them on.

"It's time to clean." Spoke Reo as he took a step forward.

Emelia smiled. She was glad that her husband was not angry.
